But Why

10 months ago

On the Internet, my favourite pastime is to go on Reddit Reddit has memes, can watch children falling, weird questions and can take part in healthy discussions with people. Too much fun! And recently, I have watched a post on Reddit. In which, it was written that most of the people of Nepal hate India. And Indians don't know this thing. Are Ignorant To be honest, I also thought that this would be the feeling of a selected people of Nepal. Not everyone thinks like that. And yet, I read a little
about this. Turns out, I too was one of those ignorant people. And in 2015, honorable prime minister Modi also asked the same thing. Why Nepal's people don't like us? This is the story of two countries, two countries that share a long border and a rich culture. How our politics are connected to each other: From the ancient days of trade and commerce to today's geopolitics and diplomacy. Different ways to look at a situation, to answer one question. This is a book by Sir Ranjit Rae - "Kathma
ndu Dilemma" He was our ambassador to Nepal. And he wrote some very interesting incidents in his book. Let me share one with you - In 2013, India vs Afghanistan football match was going on in Nepal. And the people of Nepal were cheering for Afghanistan. and booing Indian players. In fact, they say that some people of Nepal will support every team which will play against India. Even if it is "Pakistan". And Nepal's people are very proud and nationalist. Last year, our honorable foreign mini
ster has said that "Gautama Buddha was a great Indian". And this led to protests in Nepal. Their foreign minister even made a statement that How are you speaking like this? Gautama Buddha was born in Nepal. I am telling you because the situation is so complicated, even small incidents turn into such blowups. Our religion, culture, tradition, and language which unites these two countries. Also creates tension between us. Now why is it so, for this it is necessary to know a little about Nepal.
This is what Nepal looked like 200 years ago. Shimla, Dehradun, and some parts of Bangladesh towards the bottom, all were part of Nepal. And in India at that time there was the East India Company. And above Tibet. Now this is 200 years old, then there was no internet. And then Tibet was seen as a mystical land. At that time East India Company needed money, and Pashmina was in Tibet which sold more expensively in London. But if you want to go to Tibet, you have to go through Nepal and Nepal has
clearly refused that no one will come inside. So, a war started between the British and Nepal. The war lasted for two years, but no substantial result comes out. But Nepal was getting a little weak. So after that, a treaty was signed, and Nepal had to give a lot of its share to the Britishers. Since that, Nepal has been looking like this till the present. Now their population can be divided into three parts: MADHESHI - These are the people who are very similar to India: they speak Hindi and
their culture is very similar. HILL PEOPLE - They are the ones who rule Nepal, the kings are from here and even today these people are dominating the army and politics. Nepali nationalism and hatred towards India, to some extent, come from these people. And then the rest are 'JANAJATIS'. After the war, Britishers were so impressed by Gorkha soldiers, that they start recruiting them into their army. And from then till now, Gorkha regiment was part of the Indian army. If you want to know more
about the Gorkha regiment then, one audiobook which I can recommend to you. That is "GORKHA REGIMENT". which, is available on 'KUKU FM'. In which, from the history of the Gorkha Regiment to their war stories were told: On KUKU FM in hindi and other regional languages, more than 10,000 audiobooks, courses and stories are available. And different categories such as: Self Help, finance, motivation, and science all these are available. Kuku Fm also has a "For You" section which, give us recommendat

The link is in the description: Quickly try KUKU FM! Now comes back to the video. Now you have understood Geography and Culture. Now let me explain you reasons which obviously include lots of politics. Till 1950, Nepal doesn't have a democracy, there were kings. But when India got Independence and Constitution. After that, the demand for democracy started increasing in Nepal too. Then prime minister was Nehru, he too supported this demand. So, after doing a compromise, and with lots of our
support. Nepal got "Constitutional Democracy". This means the king was still there, but had to rule a little democratically. Means think of it as Nepal experimented with democracy for ten years. In fact, there is a rumor that the king of Nepal was ready to make Nepal a part of India. But, Pandit Nehru refused it. But, then arrived King Mahendra. And King Mahendra didn't care about democracy. He said that he has played a lot with democracy. Remove it all! And he again brought back the Monarch
y. That king is all-powerful! And here, things got more interesting because it also includes RSS in it. When King Mahendra took back all the powers. Removed democracy, Pandit Nehru criticized Nepal too much. Pandit Nehru was angry because elections were just held there. Nepali Congress just came into the majority. And most of the members of the Nepali Congress, are educated in India, helped India during the freedom struggle. And had close relations with Pandit Nehru. King Mahendra started cal
ling these leaders: Anti-Nationals and Indian pimps and put them in jail. And the hate sentiment in Nepal started from here only. The second thing that King Mahendra did, was friendship with the opposition of Congress in India. This means "RSS". And this thing, I have actually confirmed, with two books: A book by Prashant Jha - 'A Contemporary History of Nepal'. His grandfather was in 'Sangh'. And second one - "Kathmandu Dilemma" which, was written by our ambassador to Nepal. Many people don
't know that Nepal officially become 'Hindu Rashtra' during the reigme of King Mahendra. When he declared himself incarnation of 'Lord Vishnu'. And Nepal's divine ruler. And RSS is very happy with the idea of 'Hindu Nation' and gave full support Tulsi Giri who, was once a prime minister of Nepal. And a RSS member. Originally, it was his idea to make Nepal a Hindu Rashtra. Now from here, politics shifted to two things: 'Anti-India sentiments' and 'Hindu god'. After king Mahendra his son be
came the king. which was declared 'Vishwa hindu samarat' by Vishwa hindu parishad. It was that time, when Indira Ghandhi was in government. And Sikkim has just joined India. So, Nepal's ruler were also affraid that, this could happen with us also! So, Nepal is now moving closer to China. Maoist literature is now, easily accessible in Nepal. By this time, India and Nepal's relation started weaking! And it lasted till 1990. But again in 1990 there was a revolution in Nepal and the king's powers
were reduced again. One reason behind this hatred is, Whenever there is political revolution in Nepal. India too has a part in it. In 1950, We only helped to bring constituitional Monarchy. And in 1990 when again, this happened then also we fully supported democratic forces. I told you that the 'Hill People' were the ruling class. And this is same even today. So to stay in power they started building Anti-India narrative. And if India is supporting democracy. Means all these steps are against
these people. Even if we remove all these arguments. And look from Nepal's perspective then, no country would like any other country, interfering in their affairs and politics. After the Jan Aandolan of 1990. In 1996 communist party of Nepal started Civil War. This time intention is this, Now we don't want king and Nepal would be full Democratic and Republic. Amish Mulmi in his book - "All roads lead North" tells us, From Nepal's perspective Maoist were supported by India. And the king by Ch
ina. And when Nepal need weapons then, We didn't give but china did. But in the end, when civil war ended. Nepal became full Republic. And by the end of 2007 there was no king. And from then till now Nepal is full democracy. But now the politicians were of anti India sentiments! Or atleast, they do these things to stay in power. Earlier China used to suppot the king in Nepal. But after the Maoist revolution, Communist party was in power in Nepal. So, China started supporting them. Nepali prime
minister and other minister started visting Bejing frequently. Now things are different because earlier, Nepal uses China to reduce its influence from India. But, now China is directly involved in Nepal's economic development! China is building roads in Nepal, laying the railway lines. Most of the foreign investment is coming from China. China is even giving salary to teachers in Nepal's school. If school teaches chinese language to children. On one side, politically, economically and cultu
rally China is increasing its influence! And on the other side, In 2015 something happened that our relation with Nepal become more poor. In 2015, there was a huge earthquake in Nepal. village after village became completely flat. And at the same time, Nepal passed a new Constitution. Now this in itself is a big controversy! Indian Express reported: that the new constitution was discriminating against Nepal's Madhesi population. Madhesi population is the same which is closer to India. whose tr
aditions and culture are very similar to us. India wanted Nepal to make changes in this Constitution. In-fact government officially refused, that we didn't said any such things. But still the Indian Express justified its report. And by the same time, India imposed an unofficial blockade on Nepal. India deny this thing! But, Nepal's people say that we have stoped Nepal's fuel transfer. And all this happend, When Nepal experienced earthquake some months ago. Because of which Nepal had to suf
fer a economic loss! It is said that this was the time, when we completely lose Nepal. At that time KP Sharma Oli was the prime minister of Nepal. who signed petroleum supply agreement with China. And China supplied fuel to Nepal. Prime minister Oli uses this incident very cleverly as Anti-India hatred. To further strengthen its power in Nepal! Apart from this one reason for hatred is our Media! Which you know, will do anything for TRP! There is a border dispute going on between India and Ne
pal. About Kalapani and Nipulekh area. which both the coutries claims their territory! So our Indian media played news report that Nepal's prime minister has been made to fall in love by the ambassador of China! And that too in such a bad way! You are saying this thing to that country's P.M whom, we call it as our brother! And in 2015 when earthquake arrived, then too Indian media did the same thing! Very insensitively, going to people and asking bad questions. Covering it like some family dra
ma is going on! Apart from it, we and our politicain too are very ignorant towards Nepal's people. If Madhesi community politician with surname for eg- Yadav, Mahato and thakur. Then they are asked: "So when did you migrate to Nepal from India?" India and Nepal has a relationship which is built on culture, history and shared values! From ancient times, we were living together! Sharing a border which was a source of both Conflict and Cooperation! And the hatred was mostly filled by media and p
olitician! Which India and Nepal can work together and cooperate and fix through dialogue! If you like this video you should read these two books: 'Kathmandu Dilemma' which shows India and Nepal's relationship from our perspective! And 'All roads lead North' which shows Nepal's perspective! That, Why Nepal is coming closer to China? talks about that! If you want to support this channel you can do it by liking and sharing this video! So, that algorithm spread this video to more people! And don

As a Nepalese I don't have any sort of resentment for the Indians. But the 2015 blockade did made life a living hell for many of us on cold winter months. There was acute shortage of fuels, electricity, foods clothes and everything. But it's time to move on. Perfect analysis though. You've earned yourself a suscriber

@Wagon_Gaming1

As a Nepali I can clear you that we don’t particularly hate any Indians. You all guys are helpful.. The main reason behind hating is the media sharing wrong and misleading information about countries. 🇳🇵 🤝🇮🇳

@onesky4343

Because of blockade I lost my friend. Because the fuel shortage was so high we needed to go on a bus that was overcrowded and people used to be full on capacity plus on the roofs but because of that our bus fell into a canal. I was on roof so I jumped as others almost hut the tree doing so but my friend who was on door got his back squeezed and he can't walk after that his life got devastated by that we used to go to morning walks but now he is in depression and he is no more the same person...

@pritamsamanta47

Finally someone who is discussing this topic. I was born in Nepal. I stayed there for 18 years. The amount of hate and bully I got due to being Indian was too much. Thank you 🙏 for discussing it.

@srivardhansinghrathore2589

I'm grateful to you for discussing this topic. I lived my 12 years of childhood in Nepal, and It's such a beautiful country. I as an Indian and us shall realize that Nepal should also be given equal or even more importance as we share the same culture and values.

@BishalThakur-pq5ww

I am from Nepal and really sad by the fact that Nepali people are supporting this creator to cover this topic. This video covers somewhat about Nepalese hate towards India and Indians but the creator didn’t covered much strong point to make the video as much diplomatic as possible. Due to India and their politics Nepalese have been suffering from decades. Can’t describe everything in the comments but if you really need to know about how India have made Nepalese suffer I’ll make a video on this covering all the essential topics.

@Dshun

As an Indian am sure we majority of indians weren't aware of why Nepal suddenly hated us . but we realised now it was bcoz of our corrupted govt and few bias medias who hide this reality. We Indian are also against such corruption. But the only thing we can do is apologize from india to our beloved brother nation Nepal. May peace be upon us

@ItsmePalDen

It was always a dispute between government and medias rather than people's from both respective nation ! Love from nepal ..... Subscribed

@sushan2004
