unning it also was I feel like the first time where I had to pretend a lot that things weren't there which I wasn't totally used to I kept a little piece of the chandelier I remember because we were hanging off of a chandelier for a while next one I was Mortal till you gave me your Immortal kiss you became my mother and my father and so I'm yours forever okay this definitely interview the vampire I can't even get the words out but my 11-year-old self good you became my mother and my father and s
o I'm yours forever I was treated like a little princess on that set i' be my costumes and Brad was like an older brother and Tom they just treated me so lovely and Tom's from New Jersey too and so we had that in common the closest was Maran twnet in terms of scale and beauty and costumes but they just don't make movies like that anymore I had a really great acting coach that just helped me kind of insinuate things without making me feel uncomfortable so I felt very protected like even watching
the premiere my mom would cover my eyes at certain points honestly my most traumatizing part of that film was that I had to like suck someone's blood that was very sweaty and I and I was like oh my God I just had to put my mouth on this person that was just like profusely sweating and then the syrupy blood was pretty gross as well as a kid you're just like you don't need scores of suitors you only need one if he's the right one that's sounds like Amy March and Little Women you don't need scores
of suitors you only need one if he's the right one Little Women was a beloved book of mine I remember auditioning for that I had just come off of an interview with the Vampire and I think I had still that Claudia Vibe I played it a little lighter but I was in Claudia mode Maybe a little bit still I got the part yeah yeah it worked out to go from Tom Cruz and Brad Pit and be this young girl and then work with Susan sandon and Winona Ryder and Claire Danes it was the perfect J to position and I di
dn't even realize at that time I just felt like part of a great girl group that you know I it felt very natural too on that set oh I already know life exists only on Earth and not for long the Melancholia life is only on Earth and not for long I had such a wonderful experience on that film it was like the exact type of acting I like to do Lars was so loving and sensitive about everything and I just felt like this is the acting home that I want to be a part of always like that was the dream scena
rio I adore Lars and we have this same birthday and so did me and Jane Campion which is very weird to work with two directors that were so prolific in your life and you have the same birthday as them it's weird and then Sophia is a tourist too so I only do good movies with touristes I guess it's too good for me I'm just very average I only know Tunes Tunes this is definitely power of the dog I don't know another movie where I say Tunes it's too good for me I'm I'm just very average I I only know
Tunes I had like a very strict piano teacher that was the choir piano teacher at our church when I was younger so I hated learning piano with him hated it so I had to learn for the movie and I had a very cool teacher he works with Julian Casablancas he's his name is Jeff kite and he'd come over and he just helped me learn the pieces and they had to hear the same thing over and over again driving my family nuts but that's what it took my husband and I were nominated together honestly I was more
