that's right I vaguely understood that using my melee attacks drained my green buttons oh no and made the blue bar go up okay okay uh blue bar go up green button go away all right however I had no idea what to do when my skulls run out my buttons would be gray and I can't use them anymore I believe however death coil unlike both festering and SK for our non Wild players you spend the skulls to generate runic power and then you spend the runic power to generate skulls same as most classes in MMO

s Builder spender quite simple really however death coil unlike both by festering and Scourge strikes had a casting animation where you point your sword at the enemy and I was playing a melee class so I assumed death K death coil was for a more cter based build so I moved that ability off my bars because I wasn't playing Caster I was melee I tried to play Unholy death knight under these constraints for the entirety of legion and thought the spec was [ __ ] but I continued to play it because it l

y was such a bad spec oh my God you know did you not ever ever watch like a twitch stream of like the Unholy dks doing the most damage in the game and wonder what the hell was I bet you just thought it was gear if I had that weapon then I would do all that damage as well it's just gear that's all it is it's just gear nothing else I had a plan and the plan was immediately squashed by having to get a job so your plan was to like play all the time the plan was to just play WoW a lot that was the pl

an but then I got a job and I didn't have time to play WoW all the time and had to experience most of the story through Noble videos oh you poor soul however I came back for patch 8.3 ah and was ready to become a pro gamer my summer was finished it was time to game Step One play Frost because Unholy is Turbo [ __ ] preacher I feel I cannot stress this enough but understand my pain so you can share in it I thought Unholy played that way until dragonflight and I was amazed that I had been sleeping

on Frost for all this time because it was dirt box easy to play and I actually started doing Mythic Dungeons and Rays very quickly however I was ignorant of how many systems and classes in the game uh how are the how systems and class function in the game it's all right at that time World of Warcraft didn't have any many systems to worry about you'll be fine you'll be all good I had to fill in the gaps with my own logic I didn't look anything up because I was sure that my conclusions were corre

ct here are the most glaring examples that I still remember and yes as I type this I'm thankful it's anonymous because I am so [ __ ] embarrassed this was in two Mythic dungeon runs both of them were freeold in one of our runs the Healer was a dis priest we were dying a lot I think we were definitely undergeared and not using CC and I noticed the Healer was dpsing the [Music] enemies of course at this point I've been playing World of Warcraft for years and consider myself quite the Noah so I tho

ught I should point out the flaw in our dungeon and ask our chat why our healer was doing damage while we were not getting healed thankfully my aftermath to this was the three dots of [ __ ] game then the tank made me aware in very crude terms that I was a [ __ ] idiot and that dis priest do damage the next Freehold attempt involved me and an Unholy death KN at this point in playing I assumed I could see every single debuff being put on enemies by every player in the group I didn't see any wound

s on the enemies from our Unholy DK and as a noer of Unholy for several years and with much experience under my belt especially after I saw a death coil fly from his sword towards one of the enemies Noob spotted just spotted him shooting a death coil over spotted it dudes spotted it I decided to call him out bro why aren't you using wounds the reply I got in this room was question mark question mark question mark space i space am question mark question mark question mark I felt so stupid that I'

d only done two Mythic plus runs and this had happened to me back to back while trying to flex my knowledge that I just left the group what made it worse is I left the group in a newbie way I made a death gate oh my God you didn't even have the godamn common decency to drop goop and hear you made a [ __ ] death gate oh Jesus Christ like you're off to enchant your weapon or some [ __ ] Mike battle for Azeroth ended horribly I spent hours and hours of my life in elar nooth and never probably in ov

er 20 attempts was I able to kill that boss that was a rough day for me too when I ventured in there to see exactly how bad it was when people were telling me however I was so ready for shadowlands in the continuation of the Sylvanas story knowing that it was going to be awesome after that cut scene that I knew it it was time to dig deep step up my game even more and make shadowlands the one for me during the PE patch I decided to go hardcore and pay for a race change so I could change my DK's g

ender as I realized I was trans IRL congratulations I kid you not a month or so after I did that gender change was made free at the barber shop and I had given a lot of my rent money to it this was the point I realized I should maybe I should maybe start checking up on Wow news on occasion it's worth it you know a quick browse on Twitter little quick of MMO Champion or Wowhead easy game easy life let's get back to it during the pre patch I realized that Frost was so easy to play on hly and blood

were poor design poorly designed classes and I was convinced of this blood is a terrible spec just the worst no fun to be had playing a blood death knight at any point in history I tried blood a bit in BFA but kept running into the problem that I would use all my runes for getting my bone shield on and then have nothing to do but Auto attack it hurts it hurts so bad I didn't use heart strike because on other DK specs it was for when you desperately needed to heal and didn't do enough damage do

you not even know the difference between heart strike and death strike uh uh uh uh so I thought the rule still applied so I left it Unbound I also didn't figure out how to play the speck until until Dragon flight but that was only one expansion away so it was less dramatic than my Unholy issue because of my problems with the DK specs and the class design Jesus Christ I swear to God you've lited my YouTube comments I decided that a better spec that I had seen on Twitch was a fire [Laughter] Mage

I had seen them do lots of damage on Twitch and I read on the wow subreddit the Frost was also very easy and Arcane was only for the hardcore players and was extremely hard so fire sat somewhere in the middle it is at this point playing on the server on my server became an issue my server was low pop and because of that the auction house prices were incredibly [ __ ] to the low amount of buyers and sellers this was a problem for the price of legendary gear pieces I needed Legos to participate in

endgame content but they were hundreds of thousands of gold and I had made 10,000 gold to my name since I had started playing in Miss of Pandaria how what in the actual titty [ __ ] Christ how how how preacher what I'm about to say is the biggest embarrassment in my wow career I just bought wow tokens plural because each patch brought along new upgrade tiers for Legos and I needed upgraded Legos to be a mega gamer and my estimation I bought four tokens over the course of the expansion just for

Legos isn't it weird that Buzzard made that system shocking right I found a few weeks ago at the time of writing online that I would have been fine with a Lego that was minimally upgraded as the power of the effect would have outweighed the loss of stats on gear from being lower item level yeah it's baffling shadowlands was a weird time right weird speaking of Legos the best Lego for fire Mage was the sun King's blessing for those who don't know the blessing grants you after you get eight hot st

even play this game and now we know why they will never kill her off also I thought the Turning of The Forsaken into wholesome 100 Heroes was another questionable decision so I did stop playing wow for a while and made trips around the MMO world to 14 where I blitzed my way to end Walker in record time keeping my Sprout status until post msq shadowbringers and I loved it to death I came back to wow in 102 because I love the gearing and the combat of wow as opposed to 14 I guess that it was at t

his point though for the first time truly that it was time to Triple down and become a mega gamer I decided I would read the notes under the pages on Icy Veins big decision big decision I'm going to read the web page I went to Unholy DK on Icy Veins and read what the talents do you know you could do that in game as well it's entirely possible to do that you could do that in game I was so shocked and you can only imagine my reaction when I read how to use death coil I sat in my chair for several

minutes staring at the web page I decided I needed to go deeper and started watching video guys from Pro dks and there on how to play and it all sort of came together very quickly Mike I've been playing for less than a month as of writing this I have killed for act normal twice I have seen halfway through heroic andril through pugging I can't join a raing gild because of Life uh but other than that I have accelerated My Love of the Game muchly thank you for all the drama time stories Mike and to
