Egg in Cola for 24 hours | Fake Science Experiments

Do you know what would happen with an egg if you left it in Cola for 24 hours? Let’s debunk this science experiment! Spoiler alert: viral videos showing that Cola turns an egg into a ball are just examples of Fake Science. However, you could get a similar result but with vinegar instead. #TheDadLab #scienceexperiment #science ===================================================== ➜ TheDadLab on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thedadlab/ ➜ TheDadLab on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thedadlab/ ➜ TheDadLab on Twitter: https://twitter.com/thedadlab ➜ TheDadLab on Pinterest: https://pinterest.com/thedadlab/ ➜ Website: https://thedadlab.com/ ===================================================== Please subscribe to see more upcoming videos http://bit.ly/ThedadlabOnYoutube

What would happen with an egg if  you leave it in Cola for 24 hours? Let’s debunk this science experiment! In the viral videos, they place  an egg into a glass like so, pour Cola over the top, and wait 24 hours. This is their result, a clear and squidgy egg! You can squeeze the egg and it won’t break. Fooled you! This is a toy. The real egg has been swapped out for this stretchy rubber imposter! This is also the case for similar experiments such as putting a banana in cola! Let’s investigate wha
t really happens when you put an egg in cola.  Take one egg, place it in a glass and fill the glass with cola, just enough to cover your egg. I will do the same with another egg but use vinegar instead of cola. Now, set a timer for 24 hours. Time for the reveal! The cola egg is still firm and the eggshell seems to have darkened! The vinegar egg’s shell has dissolved and it has become soft and squidgy! Let’s drop each egg and see what happens. The toy egg bounces, the vinegar egg  smashes, and so
does the cola egg! Hit follow and don’t be tricked  by this experiment again!

@TheDadLab

What about this fake science experiment? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSdW-EAn36Q How easy is it to figure out?

@ditoalfrido

"don't tricked to this experiment egg-ain" well said.

@JP-pd6bl

I also got tricked from this. It was funny i literally did it, its just a waste of time and egg

@xeviusUsagi

this made me realize how wierd coke must be to other animals. "So let me get this straight, You drink a completely black liquid that is named after a drug a it doesn't seem dangerous to you at all!?" "it can also remove rust" "How are you alive"

@eden8916

In Korea we have a side dish that is similar to the cola egg but instead of cola it’s submerged in soy sauce and is fermented it’s called “Gyeran jangjorim”. Just wanted to share my culture, have a good day!

@gurreg1524

"Dont be tricked" i have more than 2 braincells dont worry.

@youveseenmeeverywhere

I'm expecting "does that actually work? let's find out"

@Ajokeofaworld

I like the fact that people still do science experiments to prove something🤘🏻, instead of having big organizations showing a couple of images, while mainstream media pushes it, resulting in people blindly following and believing...

@thomas.thomas

I love how he says "by this imposter"

@harikrrishnanuvvula839

Random guy: "You did it wrong, you have to put cola first"

@teleportsready

we did this in highschool but we did it differently. so, we put the egg in vinegar and it obviously dissolved the shell. and then, we put that same egg into syrup and it got super thick and it was super interesting to see. finally, we put that same egg again, into water. and it sort of drained the syrup out of the egg, making the soft outer layer, turn into a shriveled up raisin like layer. it was super cool to go through lol.

I use to sell these at a shop in the mall. That was an egg splatball. They have pig faces, strawberries, and a bunch of other designs. Some with sparkles in it some with small army men or other objects. It filled with water. Just a stretchy silicon ball with water in it. Nothing special. Doesn't stain or stink, it gets really dirty from dirt, hair, debris, etc. Easily cleanable with a piece of tape. Just roll it over tape like a pint roller, it won't stick. Cool toys, wouldn't ever buy one though.

@farkhandahansondean9036

Nobody Me: hey you want me to belive that

@nilufershama6401

Mom: What shall we do with egg after that? Me: We can use it as stress ball all the time...😉

@Pivicx

I remember playing with that clear egg toy. It was hella fun while also simple.

@vidverse991

Let solve it with the help of chemistry: Egg shell is made of CaCO3, When egg is placed in vinegar CH3COOH , then its reaction occurs as; Vinegar dissolves all the calcium carbonate or solid shell of egg which left behind egg with soft and thin shelled egg , not rubbery egg

@burgerface5055

i literally have that egg toy this wouldn’t fool me in a million years

@LG3_PRODZ

Everyone talking about how they didn’t get tricked me wondering why he used a spoon to put the egg in the glass😂😂😂😂😂😂

@kasocloseofficial9269

"stretchy rubber impostor" 🤨

@koalikoala

The fact he picked up the egg with a spoon when he just used his hands.
