Jabrail Mohammed Jr senior mechanical engineer, major at Alabama, A&M university here in Huntsville, Alabama. Internships provide opportunities for college students such as myself to gain hands on experience as well as valuable skills to ensure that we are career ready upon graduation. Erin Lanigan I'm a materials engineer on the Nondestructive evaluation team at NASA's Marshall. In our team it's always hands on. There's definitely opportunities for whatever they want to work on, whether that's
additive manufacturing, nondestructive evaluation. Working behind the scenes, working hands on. There's something for everybody working with in terms of just a fresh perspective on our projects, a new set of eyes looking at things that we might look at differently from their point of view. Post-Graduation. I'm aiming to secure a mechanical engineer role within the aerospace industry. I'm Matthew McDougall. I'm the Nondestructive evaluation team lead at NASA's Marshall. I enjoy helping people lea
rn and I can use the experience that I've gained through my NASA career to help the Artemis generation learn. It's important to have interns both for us and for them. It gives them an opportunity to learn and get hands on experience. It's also important for us to have a pipeline of future teammates. Interns bring a fresh perspective and excitement for their career field, and they expose us to new things that we haven't yet applied to some of our challenges. So the most valuable thing that I gain
ed from my internship of Marshall Space Flight Center was the importance of mentorship. Without mentorship, I do not believe I would have been able to accelerate and pick up contacts as fast as I did without them being able to guide me along the way.
