the United States um I'm not sure if each person is going to get six questions it's a pretty
short video so it would be interesting if uh all six if all six questions go to you know one

I don't expect Europeans to know you know a [ __ ] ton about the United
States maybe the
president that's about it but I don't really think it's their job to to know that that's me
personally you know because I understand that people interests are very much different and I
don't know everything about Europe let's just be real like I know a few things about Germany
Finland obviously because I live here now you know a little Sweden little Denmark I know a
little little stuff but I don't know everything about Europe so I do um you know hope that these
people actu
ally impress me cuz I do believe they might actually impress me way more than I am
capable of impressing them so without further Ado let's right into this video thank you for

I uh found out that this year presidential and prime minister a lot of elections are taking
place around the world this year ironically yesterday was the vote in for finnished president
which now we do have a new finnished president I don't know how it goes really in Finland when is
he going to you know be the president for real but we do have a winner you know it was announced
probably earlier to
day or yesterday last night I don't remember but it was yesterday that the
voting was happening and the presidential voting actually took place in January but Finland has
a weird way of doing it where they do like a reelection if the first thing when they they
have like six people and um what if it doesn't you know if the person who wins through the first
election with like six people doesn't get over 50% of the votes on the first goal they then do
a reelection of the first and second perso
n in the previous election and then that's the two
nominees and then whomever gets the most vote you know is the official president which I think is
quite Fair why because keeping in consideration that there are six or how many ever there is
nominees right going up for the presidential election the votes are scattered right so fair
thinking is that if one person can get 50% of the votes it means that they're definitely who people
want you know the president to be but if the vote are scatter
ed where you're getting 20 I'm getting
25 somebody else getting 19% and [ __ ] like that it tells you that hey there's a strong chance that
you know the other percentage that vote for those other people might change their vote and who has
25% % might not end up winning the the the final battle between the two so I think it's quite an
interesting way to do it but um yeah Mexico Mexico and uh Canada sure who is the current president of
the US and who no no no no sorry sorry the new one the ne
w one the old one I can remember who's the
vice president then Cala Harris the Indian woman Joe Biden unfortunately and the vice president is
Cala Harris joid Harris the president is Jo Biden and the vice president uh I cannot answer this
question it don't matter my boy it don't matter my boy like damn those two people that just kicked
it off like Joe Biden and Camila Harris like damn okay okay okay and who is the vice president
it's a woman yes but I don't remember the name Joe Biden and I
think CA Harris but I'm not sure
about this and Alexandro Casio Cortez Biden and who is the vice president oh the vice president
that's a difficult question Biden who is the uh vice president to that woman I I'm not uh you know
pregnancy brain uh Biden and the vice president Camila um yes yes yes what's her name Biden okay
and do you know who the vice president is no Joe Biden do you know who the vice president is I
have no idea Joe Biden do you know who the vice president is I want to say

woman
woman but her actual name I can guarantee you this you can walk the streets of the United States
right now and ask a lot of Americans and you're like who's the vice president and they'll be like
I don't know like that is a literal fact that I'm telling you right there so proud of these folks
man what is the capital of California I think Los Angeles I will say something like Sacramento
Sacramento is your final answer Los Angeles uh Los Angeles Miami Los Angeles Los Angeles Los Angeles
you got it there name three American companies or RS that are I promise you the worst one out of
these is New York cuz if you ask anyone what is the capital of New York right I'm not talking New
York City I'm talking New York the state they will not say albani or however the freaking hell it is
pronounced right so I do understand that yeah I do understand that but the person who said Miami was

ey did pretty well bro like the United States is not their country
they're all the way over there you know um I can guarantee you could probably even ask Canadians
and they probably not know as much as a lot of these people did know but um I think when he gets
to the capital I think that's an unfortunate one to ask these people cuz capitals in the United
States are not what they seem like a lot of the capitals are literally just like not supposed to
be the capital in my humble opinion you k
now but uh they are the capital in a lot of cases right
but um yeah it was a beautiful video I'm very proud of these people that actually knew a [ __ ]
ton and um shout out to them for actually knowing something outside of their jurisdiction anyways

(Some) Europeans actually read and write. In Europe we have schools, where things are taught, and not just about Europe.
Knowing facts isn't intelligence
Canada, Mexico and Russia! The USA has at least three neighbors. Mexico, Canada and Russia. Since there is no discussion about Mexico and Canada, let's talk about the border between Russia and the USA, the so-called Baker-Shevardnadze line. In the Diomedes Islands, their borders are so close that the 12 nautical mile international jurisdictions overlap. They could spit on each other. Which they certainly do sometimes. I know this is a maritime border and some smart ass person will say it's not a physical border. The Big Diomedes (Russia) is just a bit more than 2nm from the Little Diomedes (Alaska, USA) away. It's territory of the USA and 74 US-Americans live there. The Russian Island is uninhabited but regularly visited by Russian forces to keep up their flag on their island. But that's not all. Quote [...The United States and Russia share a maritime border on the Bering Sea, known as the Russian-American maritime border. The need to establish the maritime border arose after Alaska was sold by the Russian Empire to the United States. The border was demarcated after the signing of the Baker-Shevardnadze Agreement, which led to the establishment of the Baker-Shevardnadze Line, along which the maritime border now runs. ...Some islands on both sides of the maritime border become connected in winter after the sea freezes, leading to rare illegal cross-border movements.... ] That means people can WALK from the USA to Russia. The USA and Cuba had started the same negotiations about a common border between but they on hold for many years and because the distance between the Key West and Cuba is much bigger then to Russia and the winter aren't so hard in the south to freeze the sea between Cuba and Florida I gonna accept this as non border.
I honestly don´t know much of European presidents, but i know lots of presidents of US, Russia/Soviet (and the tsars before Soviet) and formal Ukraine becouse they are and have been alot in media and news. Also from many prime ministers of different countries for the same reason. Also the royal families across the Europe as well. Some of the Chinese emperors, dictators now and trough history (somehowe those usually have got bad reputation and have done bad things in history). And of course many scandal politicians as well. I know lots of states, capitals and bigger cities from US and largely from Europe too. I could name most of the countries from the globe and the capitals too, but for example from Australia, New Zeland or Oceania areas i don´t remember any names of any leaders or politicians. I might remember if someone else would name those. But as a Finn those haven´t ever been remarkable in our eyes anyway.

Europeans being smarter than Americans was a long known fact though, wasnt it?
Finland is not the only country with 2 rounds for presidential election. It is the same in France. If there is no one with more than 50% in round 1, the 2 higher scores are selected for round 2. But there are way more candidates, 12 last time in 2022. An estimation of the results (never seen them wrong) is given at 8pm on the day of the election and confirmed the following day. De Gaulle got rid of the electoral college a few decades ago.
Seeing as the questioner was asking people who had a decent grasp of English in almost exclusively Eastern European countries, he already asked the part of the population that has a much more international perspective being fluent in one ore foreign languages. If you tubers in the States went around and only questioned people who spoke another foreign language they had earned in school (!), you als would have a very different impression of education in the US
The third question is weird, even if there is only 2 countries with land borders, neighbouring countries separated by bodies of water are still bordering the US. So there are more than 2 countries (Canada and Mexico) bordering the US: * Russia near the alaskan island of Little Diomede in the Bering strait * Cuba and the Bahamas near Florida * the Dominican Republic, the UK (British Virgin Islands and Anguilla), the Netherlands (Sint Maarten) and Venezuela near Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands And this is if you only consider the main US domestic customs territory (the 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico).
