FILM DESCRIPTION:
40-Year-Old Virgin star Steve Carell reprises his role as preening newscaster Evan Baxter in this heavenly sequel to the 2003 Jim Carrey comedy hit. Shortly after television anchorman-turned-U.S. congressman Evan Baxter (Carell) relocates his family from Buffalo to Northern Virginia, God (Morgan Freeman) reveals to him that a devastating flood is coming and the planet is about to be cleansed once again. Later, when Baxter accepts the responsibility of building a great ark and his rapidly changing physical appearance begins to draw media attention, his skeptical family attempts to discern if his actions are driven by delusion or divine intervention. As a former cameraman at a TV news station, much respect to the cameramen in this scene who grabbed the cameras from their tripods as they ran to the ark. That's dedication! The camera never leaves your side!

The most unrealistic thing about this film easily is that no weirdos believed him. Honestly a cult could have sprung up so easily and Evan could have had more help with the arc.
Hank wasn't killed in New Mexico by gangsters, he just moved to DC.

One thing I liked about this scene in particular is that when everyone was panicking and rushing to get on the ark that one cop stayed at the foot of the ramp and was guiding folks up.
all these years later I just now realize this movie had an absolute all star cast
