New Line Cinema and Renaissance Pictures present a return to the iconic horror franchise, “Evil Dead Rise,” from writer/director Lee Cronin (“The Hole in the Ground”). The movie stars Lily Sullivan (“I Met a Girl,” “Barkskins”), Alyssa Sutherland (“The Mist,” “Vikings”), Morgan Davies (“Storm Boy,” “The End”), Gabrielle Echols (“Reminiscence”) and introducing Nell Fisher (“Northspur”). Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, “Evil Dead Rise” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable. “Evil Dead Rise” is produced by Rob Tapert (“Ash vs Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and cult legend and “Ash” himself, Bruce Campbell, along with John Keville, Macdara Kelleher, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Romel Adam and Victoria Palmieri. Cronin is joined behind the camera by director of photography Dave Garbett (“Z for Zachariah,” “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans”), production designer Nick Bassett (“Guns Akimbo,” “Sweet Tooth”), editor Bryan Shaw (“Ash vs Evil Dead,” “Spartacus”) and costume designer Sarah Voon (“Chasing Great,” “Inside”), with a score by Stephen McKeon (“The Hole in the Ground,” “Primeval”). A New Line Cinema / Renaissance Pictures presentation of a Pacific Renaissance and Wild Atlantic Pictures production, “Evil Dead Rise” will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures and is set to open in theaters in North America on April 21, 2023 and internationally beginning 19 April 2023.

Evil dead is seriously one of the most iconic horror franchise ever
The Evil Dead is still one of the few series that I’ve seen where the actual violence and gore adds to the scary factor. Most other horror films just it in for shock or reaction, but the violence in the Evil Dead series is actually scary and adds to the atmosphere.
It's insane how this movie was originally going to be released straight to HBO Max. From the trailer alone, it looks like it deserves to be seen in a theater, thank you Warner Bros for doing the right thing
This is the first time I have watched this series. It's been years since I saw a good horror movie. That hit all the notes. This scared me. I was jumping. Looking to the side. Covered my ears and covered my eyes. Good character development in such a short time. U really rooted for characters to live.
Just got back from the theater and….. it’s an amazing movie. Made with love and care. That’s what happens when a person passionate about what they do takes the wheel
The movie was spectacular. My favorite this year. The scariest part is that it’s about a loving new Gen family. The love they shared for each other was great. Very real. The action was top notch!
Now... that's a mother! Even in a possessed state, she is still taking time out to whip up some breakfast for her kids.😂
I just watched the movie. I've never seen a good horror movie in years until this one. It's brutal and heartbreaking. 9/10
This movie was SO good. It had such a good story and good camera angles. It was a true good horror movie. And I’m a big horror fan so it was perfect. And I loved all the gore. I even got some tears too. Amazing movie 9.5/10 so close to 10/10 I highly recommend
This movie was amazing. I got addicted to this Sam Raimi franchise thanks to my mother. She used to watch VCR tapes in the 80s... And today in 2023 when i watched this latest movie, i missed her so much!! I bet she would have enjoyed this movie. Rest in peace mother! I love you so much.
Watching this, I can proudly say that the hype for this movie is totally worth it!
I just watched the movie in the theater and OMG I LOVED IT, it’s been ages I haven’t enjoyed a horror movie, and this one was sooo good, it made me a little emotional tho cuz I felt bad for the mother.
Hands down already for the trailer. The 2013 Evil Dead movie, it's still one of my toplist & gruesome dark gory bloody horror ever since. Looking forward for this new movie franchise - Evil Dead Rise soon!
The Evil dead franchise is a such a great vehicle for an upcoming director to show off his/her talents. Congrats Lee Cronin this looks awesome.
The potential for this movie to be one of the best this year is high hope it lives up to the expectation
Man, this movie is a bloody good time. I thought the trailers would spoil most of it but trust me.......this is like 10% of the actual film. Go see this. Support it. BRING THIS FRANCHISE BACK AGAIN.
I'm definitely looking forward to this. You can definitely tell the minds of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell played a pivotal role in the making of this film even without their appearance. I'm stoked!
Evil Dead never disappoints. Great movie, was tense from start to finish. Great claustrophobic feel to it, it was right choice to set it in apartment building. Great performances overall, entire cast was pretty good.
Evil Dead movies never disappoints
HAND down the best horror movie franchises I like.
