some exciting news to share Snow White a classic tale is returning to Indianapolis showing up at newfields and it's going to be an amazing show we're a couple of weeks out from it and with me to talk about it we have Maria macaroni the senior Communications manager and marketing manager and Lucy Ms you're in the show correct yes I am well this is amazing so Snow White is coming back and this is a tale that goes back centuries correct is this a different spin on it this time around it is so our f
ounding artistic director Victoria lus decided to use the original play that was drafted in 1913 to base this ballet off of so it still has those like amazing well-known characters that we love but it's based off that original tale which is really cool excellent and Lucy you know bringing this to life on the stage what is it like uh you know you're practicing you're bringing a character to life without saying a word it's definitely challenging not to be able to speak but it just kind of pushes y
ou to dive deeper into that character and to figure out how they would move how they would enter a room or how they would command on the stage what's your favorite scene in this so far um I play the evil queen so I think my favorite scene so far is definitely um the Brewing of The Cauldron and making the poison apple and laying out my plan to um kind of you know put an end to Snow White that is amazing you play the villain which I think sometimes can be more fun right exactly so this is a family
friendly production what do you hope the littlest of your audience members get from this I just hope that they feel inspired and that you know know this is a family Series so it is meant for those children ages four and above so it's really for the whole family but just for them to feel inspired if it's their first time seeing a ballet this is a wonderful chance for them to do so this ballet also features Carnival of the animals as well so Snow White and Carnival of the animals both very very fu
n a very playful dreamlike ballets that children really enjoy excellent excellent Lucy as you look to younger uh uh people do you hope they can inspired to follow maybe in your footsteps so to speak I I really do I hope that you know it's always fun to come out after the show and see all the little people who have come and watched and see them so excited and dancing around in the lobby so I hope that there's lots of that this time around good let's talk a little bit about logistics uh Maria this
