well the new state budget that was approved this week includes increased tax credits for the film industry most buffaloes Kelly dudzik tells us how this is expected to boost Western New York's economy Kate more people than this even worked on a quiet place too here in Western New York and they're hoping with the Better Tax incentives even more movies come here to shoot included in the budget passed by legislators in Albany this week are big incentives for the film industry it is set to benefit t
o the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars the Film Production tax credit will increase from 420 million dollars a year to 700 million starting next year through 2034. people in the film industry say it will allow New York to compete with Ohio Georgia and New Jersey that have recently won out on films that originally considered shooting in Western New York it gives you an extra 10 percent back to shoot in upstate and it used to be just part of your labor but now it's all of your labor includi
