first music video for him where they're combining live performances with music vi
deo
type elements and it's just nice to see him in a different lights outside of the stage and
this song is really rich and storytelling I like that country vibe to it and the road trip I
remember a few years back I left Virginia on a Greyhound bus all the way to Tennessee so as
he's talking about the story I just remembered like all the different things I saw the different
kinds of people I met in the course of doing that road trip to Tennessee have you ever been on a
Greyhound bus have y
ou ever been on road trip do you like road trips going off of the lyrics
of the song this is like giving us different stories with the hope that he eventually gets
to his Promised Land that's one interpretation [Applause] [Music] that was Elvis on the ground [Music] is flying over to the Golden

me make it into the telephone wow the Tempo of this song is so fast in this

so I can't really tell but you can tell me I find the video the music video I'm watching very
appreciative of Elvis you can see how hard he worked you know sweating looking exhausted with
a towel or over him going from concert to concert you can see the love the fan have for him and you
know he always trying to connect with his fans that's his wife I got it cool outfit [Applause] I wanted us to appreciate that outfit moment
but then that's solo that solo g
ot me tapping I'm like I need to let the solo play through but
let's just go back again look at that look at that orange jumpsuit that's that's that's nice that's
nice that's a nice that's a nice jumpsuit right there man the king of style love it love it love

Soulful Vibe love the storytelling so we're gonna give like a quick history Just Be
cause the
actual music video was so captivating that we couldn't really go in depth to the lyrics and
it was going by so fast from as it was like I was like a rapid fire session from the session
I could get that it was a journey and someone is chronologically telling us a story about the
different trips he made from one city to another city and what he observed that's the synopsis
of it I feel like we would do justice to this reaction by going deeper into the lyrics and the
meaning given t
hat it's such a heavy title looking at the sauce from the internet real quick the
2001 article from The Outsider in 1975 46 years ago Elvis Presley promised land from his album
of the same name claim number one spot on the charts pretty impressive in 1973 Presley recorded
his version of Chuck Berry's famous hit promised land it's picked at number 14 on the Billboard
charts and number nine on the UK single chart he also included its in 1975 album and his
version also in the 1997 film Men in
Black oh really wow going back to the original intent of
Chuck Berry the poor boy sings of his travels from Norfolk Virginia to Los Angeles California which
he referred to as the promised land so Los Angeles is the promised land during the song the narrator
describes several cities in the southern states that he passes through so pretty much what we
were getting from it I totally enjoyed seeing this video because it's different from
anything I've seen for Elvis and gave me different insight
s to his his life outside of
the stage and on the stage so that was a good good one for us to review together I hope you
