Foreigner Surprising Indians with Hindi (WARNING Smiles Galore!)

Enjoy the smiles and surprise on locals' faces as I speak to them in their local language in India! And laugh at my Hindi too if you're a native Hindi speaker =D Jai Hind. For everyone commenting on my use of "tu" (intimate form of "you"): In Haryana people use tu commonly, even for elders. So that's why I was practising with it in some sentences. Most of this was filmed in Haryana. Outside of Haryana its use is considered offensive. Haryanvi is a very informal dialect. I really love the reaction I get from Indians when I speak a little bit of Hindi to them. They get these big beautiful smiles on their faces because it's the last thing they expect from a foreigner. Let's hit the streets in Gurgaon and Haryana and capture some smiles. Karl: Airport Karl: Skydiving, bungee jumping... This is the king of Indian street food. the Raj Kachori Attendant: What about you? Karl: I'm good. Attendant: You're Delhi based? Karl: Yes, in Gurgaon, Karl: Used to be in Delhi. At
tendant: You don't have any check-in luggage, right? Check your name and confirm your gate number after security. We are gonna get in so much trouble talking to the little girls here. If you're visiting India, it really pays to know a few travel phrases. You get to see the big smiles on people's faces and you'll be that much warmer received here. It will all around make for a better trip. How are you?

These days, my mindset is changing on certain things. I watch reviews like this, I see some of the great food reviews...and I can't help but think - sharing ideas, laughs, foods....we need more of that between all of us as human beings.

@amitbetkeri5605

I would like to say one thing: Karl you are a really beautiful human being. Going to some other country and loving and accepting it, requires lots of guts, open mindedness and compassion. Sometimes I wonder how can a person be willfully so attached to some other culture. The way you love India and endorse it like its your own country gives me chills. If everybody becomes as beautiful as you, believe me the world would be a much better place. Wish you the best my brother.👍

As an American, I am often jealous at the socialization that Indian people have. They are a very social people.
