Gary Clark Jr. is one of the best contemporary songwriters and guitarists.
This dude is so legit live, he's the embodiment of a rock star. His presence on stage is almost intimidating, but his music is disarming and he's a genuine, cool guy. He's also one of the best guitar players I've ever seen live. He reminds me of BB King, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jimi Hendrix all rolled into one.
Gary Clark Jr writes and sings such profoundly beautiful confessional songs -- like his earlier song "Church" -- this song soulfully resonates.
I love that you can watch him perform thr same song on the different talk shows and no 2 performances are the same...
