welcome to a special great day live it's always fun when we get to take our cameras inside someone's home and show them exactly the kind of work that summer classics can do for you this is our special home show over this hour uh and we're just thrilled to be here and I have Allison CRS the owner of summer classics and Becky sheii who's been kind enough to let us come into your home right you're like oh my gosh it this is just really wonderful Allison because it's a great way to show everybody at
home exactly the kinds of things that you all can do we're in for Simon rid kind of lay out the project that that you were given with this home absolutely so Becky bought this house about a year and a half ago and you know just wasn't really sure of what her vision was and I said okay let us come in and do what we do so uh we really wanted to focus on the common areas and the you know the spaces she loves to entertain she has two boys and loves to have people over and so um you know you'll see
here in a minute of everything that we did yes and Becky I mean I just love the fact I mean you have a family you're busy and it's cool hear how livable everything has been I think sometimes when we think working with a design team oh my goodness nobody don't touch the furniture right you really want it to be a livable space I wanted it to be very comfortable I wanted to be light and bright um like Alison said I love to entertain um I didn't really have a vision I'm not very good at you know hom
e decor so I really trusted her and her team um to help me with that vision and it was amazing and I'm just so in love with what they did it would had to be a really great feeling to say just do it just do it that's exactly right that's what I did women out there are going yeah yeah yeah I want to do that too I want to do that too let's begin with the space just behind us uh first up the living room so in the living room um we started with the rug and it's it's you know she's very feminine and s
o we wanted to do some pinks in the rug and then kind of take it into the bookcases and kind of bring it all together so the furniture is really light um and then we did the fun pops of color with the accessories and the rug and the bookcases and then we moved into the dining room which was super fun Becky went on vacation and and when she came home it was all done so we painted the the walls a really dark iron or color and um then we lightened it up with the furniture and the rug and the pictur
es you know the butterflies kind of symbolizing a new beginning um and so that was just really fun that's one of our favorites tell me what you thought about the living room when you first stepped into it well like she said I came back from vacation and I was like what has happened and was really scared about the rug because it seemed a little busy for me but as soon as I saw it and how they brought everything together it absolutely wowed me it was incredible mentioning kind of the bookcases I f
eel like bookcases are really intimidating to decorate yes exactly all the little things very overwhelming without it looking like the Peddler's Mall exactly yes very classy they did such a great job keeping it classy keeping it simple not too much it was absolutely perfect right what did your family think when they came back and they saw the living space they couldn't believe it um they were very excited um my boys um thought it was great and um they enjoy it the boys probably took off their sh
oes immediately and got yeah and you're like no no no no no you know but that's the beauty of what you have is that it's very very durable um go into the the dining room a little bit more now because you really took a very different approach with that because she was looking for a space where they can gather and entertain that could just be uh it's kind of the return of the formal space absolutely um so the dining table actually has a lazy Susan in it so you know you can pass around shuder and t
hings like that um and the dark walls and the dark walls it's like a wow when you first walk in and then all the accessories and the bar Weare and the different things that we talk about in the store we brought it to the house yeah right when they told you Becky we're going to do a dark wall we're going to do like an iron color like black yeah I was scared to death what I was like my husband's going to think this is the craziest idea in the world so I have all white um walls right so I knew I ne
eded a pop of color um so when they brought this to me I'm like you know what why not I trust them and it turned out gorgeous right and so when you all sit in there now for special occasions what is that that feeling when you look around soft but um bold yeah but it's it's um Moody is what I like to say and it's just very comfortable and everybody loves it and it's great it's a really it's just a really cool way that you all did that right it's just it's surprising when you walk in is it the mai
n uh focal point when you walk in the door it's just really striking uh and then this is a space that I did not know that you all did is the bedroom right like I've seen the furniture in summer classics and we've shown some of the furniture but that was like new to me you all tackled that space too yeah so I think that's you know something that people don't know that we do as bedrooms CU we really can be a whole home source and you know in the bedroom we did the upholstered headboard and the end
tables on either side with the mirrors that's really popular the mirrors above uh the end tables and then a lamp above that I know that I wouldn't have known that right like I want to be cool and in Trend too no and so again it's just a a space that she can escape to it's really comfortable very um you know just soft and feminine and um just really really pretty and even just the accessories in every space that we're going to show everybody all those accessories summer classics and I feel like
so often your accessories make the whole Space where there there could not even be a ton of things done but a couple of those accessories just set it off 100% you know that's what really makes the room when you walk in and you're just like oh my gosh this is so comfortable and you know it's it's just all those little itty bitty touches that you wouldn't think to do yourself and my team just does such a great job with putting it all together um well Becky congratulations on your beau home like it
really is it's just cool to kind of hear what the experience was like and going into it did you know I'm going to tackle three spaces yes I did that was a good plan it was a good plan and I love how um Allison and her team pulled it all together everything flows so nicely all of the colors work so greatly together um working with her team is absolutely amazing um I'm someone who um knows what I don't want as opposed to what I do want so they really um worked well with that important to say yeah
like I don't know I don't have the vision and they do and they made it so easy and the way they communicate um the way their team works together they're so in tune with each other they made the experience so much fun it was incredible and you literally went on vacation I did I went on vacation and was wow it was like yeah I mean it was the greatest gift honestly and I really appreciated it and I think sometimes too when people think if I have the means to tackle something like this I don't want
somebody to come in and judge my home right I think like as women we think oh please don't don't ignore that I'm I'm a good person right we think about that I'm going to change don't look at me like that U with her team did you feel too like comfortable being honest and letting somebody into your space cuz I feel like that's very important and they were so tactful too you know and the vision that they had immediately came so um easily to them right and they just knew exactly what to do with eac
h space and so they presented to me um they show me in my own space what it can look like um before I purchase which was amazing and and so you could actually look at it and make the changes if if you're like I like this but I don't like this corre before you and yes it's incredible so what's next what's next probably my kitchen oh yeah which we're not going to show today oh that has to make you feel so good Allison just hearing that because we are we're like we're sensitive creatures we got a l
ot on our plates and I think you know people say that time and time again your team not only you tackling something that it is an investment it's an investment and the whole family is involved it's also personal you know and that has to make you so proud of your group absolutely they are the best and they just again like she said just so tactfully you know just makes you feel good about what you've done and what you can do so yeah all right know I love it because I'm not going to I feel like I d
on't need to change this in five years oh thank God you know what I mean like I invested into this knowing that I'm not going to change it that's a great way to look at it is and so often every season we'll look and say oh do this and then you look at how much you spent in that season on crap ESS this is a great invest I feel these pieces are um almost Timeless you know they're not too trendy they're not too traditional um and so they're going to last for a long time oh love that ladies thank yo
