hi
everyone it's Crysta here for the Tina Conteh Foundation and in today's video we're
talking charities particularly one that is extremely super
and awesome we're talking about The Awesome
Foundation and The Awesome Foundation is a
real non-profit that grants 1 000 grants to
organizations or individuals that have a specific project that they want to
get off the ground the money comes from chapters and the
awesome foundation each the chapters all over the world which
and this is directly from t
he website which consists
of 10 trustees and each month
they give a hundred dollars for the local equivalent
and then they use that to fund whatever projects that they consider
it's not loan or an investment you are the money is
given to individuals groups and organizations
as a grant now anyone can apply for this and this if this information is taken
directly from their website um anyone can apply to this the best
rule of advice is to find a chapter that is near you
in which you have roots um s
o this if you have haven't or
if you have an idea about maybe picking up trash or projects such as that i know
we just said hurricane laura so you can um if you have a project like
that that you want to get funded you can do that no um
nothing is off the table nothing is off the table
so what you would want to do is go to their website
to get more information they have faqs and on their faqs page a little bit
about them it says what do you mean by awesome like
what projects will the chapter fund
they fund
anything from a wide range of projects it says art technology
community development and more even if your idea
is experimental or something like that they want to hear from you
they also said that they've been um featured on different media the new york
times the bbc anything like that so what this means is
whatever your project is that you want to get accomplished you
should apply and this is great for new non-profits especially because the
application process as you can see here is
super super
simple well this is a list of all the chapters
there worldwide but as you can see look at this
application process you just select the chapter that you
want to apply for they have several of them all over the world just
not just the united states there's a drop down menu you look
and see the chapter if you don't have one that is locally what you should do
is apply for one that is closest to you it also says uh up at the top there was
something that says worldwide you can just
do that
but they want you to apply for one that is closest to you
you just put in your information your project title
answer those questions tell them about your project
and how you use the money my advice is to be a little bit specific
and you know upload any images that you may have of your project
the project doesn't have to be something that hasn't started already
it could be in its initial phase it could be midway through
uh and i would say it's a great rule of thumb if you have pictures
to apply
for that and then you just hit apply
so this is a great application process it's not too overwhelming for those of
us who are new in the nonprofit space or
for those of us who have a particular project
and on the website you can see all the different types of projects that they
have funded i suggest that you go look so that you
can get an idea of what they're looking for
as far as maybe how to do your application
some of the things that they're funding in particular areas
so you can have an idea
so we're just looking at some of the things that
they've done again guys i would suggest applying for
it if you're interested in applying for it if you think it's a great idea leave
a comment below or if you've already applied for it
