l guest Andy FPL mode joining us um to to chat FPL and everything else in between as well  so hey Andy how are you yeah no I'm good thank you thank you so much for having me obviously you  know you can tell that there's there's always Tech issue issues but you know actually thank you  so much it's just amazing what you're doing doing this whole kind of doing it on spaces and doing it  on YouTube at the same time like fair play to you if I had to do that I wouldn't know what I was  doing so yeah

you're a step a step ahead of me it's it's it's been it's been a a huge learning  experience can I just say it's been a massive learning experience and there's been something  or another that I learn every every time I've got a you know a guest on and uh as I was saying  to Andy just before you know we started chatting um on the stream itself when I had press on two  weeks ago he um you know I started the stream and ended the stream really quickly and had to create  a whole new you know YouTube

stream and I'm only new I'm new to this I've only been doing it for  3 months so yeah it was uh it was an interesting experience but but um no it's so great to have you  and thank you again for you know joining um I know I know the UCL you know matches are on some of  them are on anyway or at least the tail end of them so I appreciate sort of people tuning in as  well um on YouTube and on um on Spaces during the the second half I have no idea what the scores  are saying at the moment um but um y

eah I think because Liverpool's not in it I'm not sort of as  invested in the U yeah it's been good tonight so far I think City are losing so obviously that  makes me oh really what was the score like did you two n at half time they're losing at home so  we're all happy yeah wow yeah no I'm I'm I'm down for that I'm down for that um so Andy tell us yeah  tell us a bit like something that we don't know about you because like obviously we know you from  Scout you know scoutcast and obviously you'v

e been doing a lot of work with um Fantasy Football  Scout and just you know you you've popped up everywhere as well like um you know recently like  being on blackb and you know all the places which is which is great I really enjoy your content  um and I enjoy the conversational aspects and and this show is very much conversational and so  a lot of what we do is just chat you know about anything and everything there's a lot of swearing  um I'll try not to swear too much I've I have been F I've b

een working on that it just comes out  especially when you have game weeks like cash [ __ ] up you know this game week there you go  it's just like soon as soon as I think of cash at the moment I just want to swear at him um but  um yeah so we've seen you like lots of different places but yeah like what do you what do you what  do you do for work as well and you know how does that relate to fpl yes so uh a few people know so  I am actually a teacher a few people kind of take the Mickey and kind

of go are you actually and  I am my my original um handle was FPL teach mode uh and that's based on I'm a big NFL fan as well  and there was a player called beast mode so I just thought I'd go with teach mode uh and yeah so I  teach seven to 8y olds uh and I've been a teacher now for about 12 years uh so I've been doing it  for a little while uh massively enjoy it and you know try to get the kids involved with FPL when I  can but it's probably still a little bit young at the moment but no massiv

ely enjoy it massively um  and that's probably the the thing most people get confused about is that I am actually a teacher  like that is my job and so when I'm doing these late night streams and I'm obviously up early in  the morning to go and teach the the world's youth uh yeah but it's it's good like I said I enjoy it  but I I enjoy it but obviously the other side of things is I absolutely love doing all the streams  when I get home as well like I I absolutely love streaming with Flapjack and

Seb on on a Monday  yeah love started to do my streams with with Mark and as on blackbox as well and it's it's  just really good fun and you know when you go to like um what they called FPL meets and when  we did uh where did I see you in yeah it was at meets yeah that was that was a lot fun I can't  what it's called now I think it's just Meats I think it's just isn't it just Meats the one that  Nemo no I feel like it's got a proper name and I called yeah it's going to kill me but um but  no it

's just lovely like there's this whole community that you know you can now be a part of  and there's so many lovely amazing people in it and the one of the biggest reasons obviously you  were like come on the Pod was because I got you to stand outside the Sydney Opera house with my  name on it so actually that's a that's a really good segue to ask you about this thing called  PRM tell us tell us a little bit about that that was hilarious I remember sort of popping up during  the first Internatio

nal break or something um that was so funny I was just like what is this thing  going on and then noticed that yeah it got bigger and bigger like there was day one day two I mean  obviously this this one's the the day two one that I've got on the screen but yeah tell us about that  yeah so um grayhead by the way is one of the the best people in the community he organizes so much  just for fun which is amazing and he put a tweet out before the last International break saying  does anybody want to

be involved in something called PRM where you have to do tasks and I was  like yes like because anything like that I'm game for and there was about seven of us maybe eight  of us and he just gave us different like tasks to do every day and praz would then score them  at the end of every day um and it was brilliant like yeah and there was so many good um good on I  don't know whether you've got my picture of uh I had to do a a drawing of somebody in the community  yeah yeah oh you have got it yo

u have got it I so impr yeah I I know I did that with straight away  yeah did you I had to steal his felt tips I did it in pencil first and then went over and felt tips  but um yeah no it was great fun stuff like that I love doing so did you did you know that you could  sketch or was this a you know like a a hidden sort of talent of yours that you've uncovered you know  along the way I didn't even think it was that good I did it and showed my wife and she went that's  okay and I was like oh chee

rs and then put it on Twitter I I messaged Rocky straight away and was  like did this for you today and he was like whoa DMD me and said did you actually draw this I was  like yeah I didn't even win the whole thing I came second in the end know I'm so I'm actually really  gutted for you cuz um you know we like Dad and I put a lot of effort into this you know black  wolf that was um that was yeah that was really funny cuz I I had so many people I'm going to put  the the the picture of um me holdi

ng up this sign um so I managed to kind of drag along you know a  friend with me and uh it was actually a colleague and and so I was I just happened to be going into  the area so I don't live that close I mean I'm about 10 minutes away from the Sydney Harbor and  uh the opera house and and I was kind of going to be in that area when you hit me up in that you  know that morning and I was like actually it just so happens I need to be in that vicinity and so  I grabbed my Post-It notes stuck them o

n a piece of piece of paper and rocked up there with my you  know with my colleague gave gave them the camera and said can you just take a picture but I had  loads of people walking by sort of going who's Andy I know I got loads of followers that morning  it was brilliant yeah it was hilarious um but yeah know it was good good fun but um I'm gutted that  you didn't come first uh I think I'm messed up as well because I had about five people that sent  me photos and it turns out that I didn't actu

ally get the two that were the furthest away yeah yeah  yeah I I I oh no I messed up but I just literally went oh here we go I got one from California  one from Sydney that must be it but it turns out the one I had from SC would have been ex I  didn't think I'm a flat earther SE no I'm not I'm not so I was singing yeah so obviously if  you went from there to there it would work but yeah there you go this is me teacher yeah that's  right you don't teach geography right like or is it I gu a bit of

everything yeah brilliant but  I have to say as well so thank you so much for doing that because it just shows what an amazing  Community we've got that five people including yourself went and put a picture up with my name  on it next to a lmar it's just amazing so thank you yeah no no absolutely it was it it's been a  lot of fun like the um you know I've mentioned this a few times on uh on my streams that the  community over here in Australia they're they're fantastic as well like such a wonde

rful bunch of  people um very very humble and you know friendly and and uh when I when I started playing FPL um  what three I'm in my third season um I didn't know many people you know that we're playing over  here especially in like in Australia it's really difficult to watch the matches as as you would  have heard you just with the time difference and everything like right now the time difference  is pretty harsh for us because um yeah they're on at like 2 am um sometimes 3:30 a.m. that kind o

f  thing and you know it's nice during the week so with the the midweek sort of matches that we're  going to have you know um coming up soon um it's um it's not so bad because they'll be on at like  6:00 a.m. 7: a.m. that kind of thing and the UCL matches are on a decent hour and I wake up really  early so I don't mind waking up at like 5:30 6:00 a.m. and watching some football before you know  my my day starts um but when they're run at 2: a.m. it's so it's so challenging so I just stopped  lik

e watching regularly and and stop sort of you know I came across FPL but didn't really want to  touch it just because it's it's going to be hard to play and then I met this amazing community  over here as well and I was like yeah no this this is this could be fun um and we started  doings yeah and we started doing Meats over here in Sydney as well so we became a chapter um  Sydney chapter of meats um you know after I hit up Nema and went to the London meets which is where  I met you it was lovel

y you know to kind of hang out with this amazing community and it was nice to  meet the community in London as well cuz I'm from London and you know I never really connected with  you know Community around like football Community or FPL or anything like that while I was in the UK  and so now I found this you know new love for FPL and um and I missed like yeah I've got loads of  friends and family in the UK who play and I was like [ __ ] I wish I played wish I started playing  a little bit earlie

r than what I did but it's okay it's uh you know sort of uh encourages me to go  back every time and catch up with with everyone over there as well yeah you're into it now though  that's the most important thing and obviously you know there's so many I've I've been playing for  a while uh and there so many actually GNA ask ask you about that yeah you know it's it's almost  like you know my script over here professional see professional yeah it's a yeah it's been a while so  yeah what's that 17 1

6 17 years and that's I mean I was playing before that as well but you look  I mean there 17 years so I was a teenager when I started playing yeah and I I wasn't obviously  wasn't taking it seriously I didn't even know there was an overall rank back then uh but I  I kind of you can see I started getting really competitive with one of my mates and we were  getting really good that was about 20134 and you can see that it got better as it went yeah  and then 201920 was when I joined Twitter and it

went downhill for a little bit yeah um but that's  interesting and that was I've said this for ages like Twitter can be the most amazing place in  the world and it can also be really bad for you when you're because when I joined you could  see like I had 36k finish 15K finish yeah and I joined Twitter and thought that everybody was an  expert and I didn't know what I was doing and I started trying to listen to way too many people  and it took me two years to realize how to take that information

and what to do with it if that  makes sense and yeah you look since then like 2021 onwards like two 52k 39K I know that not  amazing but I I've definitely kind of learned how to deal with it if that makes sense yeah I I  have to um I have to admit that I um fully sort of you know went into the um uh I guess like the the  content sort of you know just consuming everything and anything that I could in my first season um  also because I didn't know how to play FPL and I needed to sort of find you k

now thing like things  to learn from and you know I wasn't able to like pick up a book and you know I I feel like it's  such a a moving um it's just so fast-paced so fast moving with everything that's going on so I quite  like Theory like I don't mind Theory but I like the the Practical side like I'm more of a learn  by doing kind of person and so I rather just jump in the deep end and just try and swim basically  and and if it if I'm doing something right then great and then if I'm drowning the

n I work harder  that kind of thing and so I was like oh I'm going to read some of the the content that's available  to me you know online um but i' rather just watch and see how people are playing and so that first  season I consumed so much content so much like anything and everything but in my second season I  didn't I was a bit more selective about what I was watching and what I was you know like consuming  reading doing you know who I was following on Twitter so I joined Twitter probably so

rt of a  third of the way through in my first season so I hadn't really come across it I didn't know about  it either um and then you're right like it's just this that you can go really deep into into it and  it's an amazing Community like don't get me wrong it's amazing community and that's why like I enjoy  doing the spaces part of it as well because it's just a great way of connecting with the community  and sharing and learning um but it is a bubble right and like as soon as you see a bit of

a you  see a bandwagon thing happening on on Twitter and you're like oh wow I have a really [ __ ] Team all  of a sudden and everyone is jumping onto so and so player and yeah I feel like I'm I I don't have  them but then you you look at the CEO and you look at sort of you know vaguely what people are people  are doing you know after you've kind of gone past the deadline and you're like oh maybe maybe that's  not so big right and so yeah I've made I've made that mistake a few times yeah and it'

s it's how  it can make you second guess your good thinking as well like I I get to called a template manager  all the time like genuinely every single week I get called a template manager and if I wasn't  on Twitter I'd be making those moves getting points and thinking I'm good at this whereas when  you're on Twitter you're literally getting told no that's not what you should be doing and it  just makes your second guess those those simple moves that everybody should be doing but because  there

's other people out there and it's only one or two people but this is social media in general  isn't it so it's it's how it works but I think it does just take a little while to get used to it  and know how to kind of use it for what it is if that makes sense and like like we both said there  are so many amazing people out there and it's just kind of being selective with who you listen to  sometimes I I agree I agree and you know I sort of I needed to have those two seasons of you know  um the m

y first season not being a great season I mean I I finished all right um in compar like it's  all relative isn't it so when I think about the season that I'm having at the moment which is you  know I'm sitting at 1.4 mil now um when I compare that to my first season where I finished in top  200 you know uh yeah 200k I finished in um that sounds amazing all of a sudden so if someone  ask me hey I'll give you a a top 200k finish for this season i' i' probably take it because  I don't know if I'm g

oing to make it you know there but um you know I learned a lot from that  first season learned a lot from the community in that first season as well and um but I had a  better second season because I switched off from it like I turned down the noise right and just DED  it down and sort of tuned into the specific things that I you know wanted to people that I wanted to  learn from to just refine my my skill um there so yeah no it's great to see I mean yeah I mean 17  Seasons that's a really long

time wow yeah got a lot of screenshots a lot of screenshots yeah I bet  I bet yeah I realized that actually I was looking at my um camera roll um last week and realized  how many screenshots I had that had just green on there um I know I know anyway so let's talk  a little bit more FPL specific um Andy how how's your how's your how's your season going actually  let's not talk about the game week first how's your season going G yeah well I'm definitely  G to talk about it because uh you saw Gordo

n like what the [ __ ] don't let's talk about the  season about the season first so I uh it didn't start very well to be perfectly honest I I kept  man united uh I kept Bruno and rashford for too long I had Chelsea I I invested in heavily in  Chelsea and they really didn't repay me and I was 2.8 million in gameweek seven and then played  my wild card and by game week 10 I was about 500k so I went up a million every week for a couple  of weeks which was really nice uh and now I'm kind of around 4

00 I've been around 300 500k  for a couple weeks so I'll take it it's um I jumped on Gordon and boing nice and early on the  wild card and that did me really well yeah even though I sold one of them this week uh but no yeah  so this week's been my worst week for for a couple of weeks to be fair I've been du a red so it's  not too bad and when I take it into account that like I said I was 2.8 four five weeks ago I I'll  take it it's not too bad um but this week I sold Gordon po e so basically my

whole plan was to get  e for three weeks and then to move to Palmer and then it was to sell boen and cash this week for  CBA and mumo this this has been my plan for weeks like I've had it all planned out I knew exactly  what I was doing e a three gorgeous weeks Gordon fixed your congestion like mad playing every three  days probably going to miss some thought they were going to stop scoring goals yeah couldn't have  gone worse the first week to be perfectly honest the e was going up so I did it

Friday night then  I found out Bowen wasn't playing on the Saturday could have sold boen and then I would have kept  gon I also moved the the captaincy off of Harland to son like everything that could have gone wrong  did go wrong this week so I I cost myself about 15 points this week I think I worked it out yeah  that's yeah that's a get injured is just I was going to say that e was actually a good move I  thought you know as well I remember seeing your Tweet um saying that you were going to mo

ve off of  Gordon I mean I think the the moving off of Gordon part right like that I was actually thinking about  it as well cuz I could have gone Gordon directly to mumo um but Moma became a problem for me and  so I took out Moma instead and brought in mumo um bumo now realizing how to say his name um yeah  like we all did I think after that video came out with pronounciations um but um E's a really  good like e looked good on paper right so yeah and he had the penalties as well exactly and thr

ee  lovely fixtures so that's right yeah and he's such an easy move to Palmer a lot of it made sense and  obviously in hindsight you can easily say Gordon's never blanked at home and all that kind of stuff  but against Chelsea I was just thinking I thought it was going to be a tight game and obviously I  didn't expect the red card but it happens th if this was four or five years ago this would have  plagued me every day and I'd have been beating myself up about it but I'm very good now at just 

saying the theory was there it's it is happened it's one week in 38 weeks yeah yeah it's fun yeah  no no that's fair there um with the son captaincy though like what was um so did you have your arm  bad on on Harland and then you switched it or okay yeah yeah all week all week uh yeah I had it on  him and then I did I did um late tackle with Mark yeah and he sounded so convincing about son and I  don't normally get swayed and I was like you know what that High Line it could be good and obviously

  scored his three offside goals and I was like oh brilliant but Harland got seven and I was like  that's fine I'll take seven like I was expecting him to score and I was just thinking John son just  needs a goal he just needs a goal and obviously he didn't get it did he but no yeah again that's it  happens captaining has been tough this year seem always be going for the wrong ones I've I've not  been able to nail that at all like I think since game week um I probably had maybe a couple of  game

weeks where um Captain I mean and even then there've not been massive Halls either it's  not as though you know one one Captain went off on one you know kind of thing it was um I've just  been moving it between Salah and um and harand in my case and then I got rid of Salah and then  had um I think I had Captain Madison somewhere in between there as well which I don't know like it  was one of the I think it was against um it might have been against Sheffield luten one of those  yeah like where w

e would have expected um either son or you know Madison to get some returns but it  wasn't sort of enough and that was the same week that harand went off and and so I was like ah  [ __ ] I'm just not getting the the captain C's right and we're like What 14 um 13 game weeks in  in now and I'm like how is it that I've only got a couple of Captain C shouts right it's just weird  and and let's not even talk about goalkeepers because I think I've had one goalkeeper return  all season so far which was

Turner and I think that game week seven or eight like that's been my  only goalkeeper return all season yeah it's crazy see I had pford I had pford gameweek eight where  he got his nine pointer um oh nice I think it was a n pointer yeah yeah well I then wild carded in  nine and so I was really happy about that I was like oh thank you so much you can now [ __ ] off  Parting Gift lovely oh so funny um but um yeah I I don't know like I've I've been I've been just  kind of focusing on each game wee

k as a separate sort of game week and and not sort of thinking  um like not looking back too much either so I've been doing like little you know retrospectives  as well seeing what sort of decision I've been making um but also sort of making decisions around  okay what are the fixures telling me not over over engineering it not overcooking it and and sort  of you know um I am a bit of an overthinker when it comes to like planning and I like the process  of planning and I like the you know lookin

g ahead and and and all of that but it's been so hard  especially when like the fixtures you expect to be tougher or easier haven't been tougher or  easier they've just kind of you know been a bit bit of a surprise like bright for example um and  how they're playing so yeah I'm GED that I went with like matoma um for example in in my team for  couple of game weeks and did you have Moma did you bring in any of the Brighton boys yeah no I didn't  bring in any actually I was really really worried t

hat about rotation and I was really worried that  owning them would just be turned into a nightmare so I avoided them and bought e so yeah yeah yeah  so um I think we're going to talk about like um what we're thinking about doing um you know later  but yeah look in in comparison I had a slightly better game week you did smashed it yeah yeah  I'm really happy with it because um I've just had lots of back-to-back red arrows but they've  not been massive red arrows if that makes sense it's just bee

n like you know 5% red arrow or a 10%  red arrow it's not been huge it's just been close enough to my safety score basically and just not  really budging too much so this was a nice sort of bigger a big leap in the right direction which  was really nice and um but I'm so annoyed with um cash like cash has been [ __ ] useless can I just  say like you know he's just had like if you look at I mean look at this like from returns point  of I don't know how big that is on on everyone's screens but sin

ce gameweek eight he's got two  points two points five pointer against Luton zero two points0 points so I'm just like he's I  think you've already made your move but um yeah yeah yeah I mean the the thing is about them I  guess they're winning the games like Villa are a very very good team this year they're in fourth  now people are talking about can they finish top four there's no reason why they can't they're very  very well managed they're just not keeping the clean sheets even at home and he

's not getting  those attacking returns and this week I mean I was I mentioned it on scoutcast saying that he's  he's quite similar to chill well in terms of he's now not playing right back at times playing right  wing but that does mean that he's prone to getting subbed off early and obviously this week he got  subbed off at half time because he got booked as well yeah and he's just becoming a bit of a danger  and and moving forward I just if you've already got an Arsenal Defender see because I

think that's  the priority is getting an Arsenal defender in but apart from that I suppose it's tough to say  who do you get him out for because defenders in general just all this is the problem this is the  problem and even then I'm not necessarily happy with Gabriel like it's he's been a bloody pain in  the ass as well um you know like I remember sort of um at meets actually when um I didn't get the  memo like I was there and I didn't get the memo about oh maybe you know switch over to civa o

r  anything like that CU I I I was a bit more focused on Stones not starting because I had stones in my  starting lineup and um and then I switched over to Walker really last minute as I was driving to the  airport yeah my dad was driving me to the airport and was chatting away about something and I was  like Dad I need you to just can can we just like can you give me 5 minutes it was like deadline  time as I was going to the airport trying to work out what to do but I totally missed the um  you

know like should I switch over to celba or you know I had CBA on my mind but decided to go  Gabriel because or Gabrielle even um because of his um heral threat and I don't know set pieces  and all of that sort of jazz so I went there he he's obviously been benched a few times and and  um or not played you know at all and so I've kind of just held on because there's been other  problems right and so I don't regret it now but um yeah you're right like when you think about who  do you bring in ins

tead like I want to of course I want to get rid of cash but I got rid of simic you  know the other gate like I got rid of semic cast Two game weeks ago um actually no just before the  City match um City game I got I got rid of him cuz I think I was going to bench um uh I was going to  bench him anyway and then um yeah brought him the Cs just to save some money and and so I'm almost  tempted to go back to simic cast or something like that you know if I got rid of cash it would be  do I go back do

you go back have you ever gone back on a player well I've obviously got that  same thought with do I go back to Gordon so do I go from a to Gordon for instance and it's like  the the one thing I will say is is don't in your head think I can't go back like I you know I've  made that mistake I can't possibly go back you've got to just think what if I didn't do that would  you now make that move if that makes sense and I think simic isn't a bad move moving forward  obviously there's still some x-

minutes issues there it's whether you go for it thinking you know  are Liverpool going to get or is Simas GNA get me the most points moving forward or do I kind of  get in a brenford player knowing they've got the double coming up potentially in 80 but they do  have a blank in 18 there's lots of factors at the moment and again I sorry to keep mentioning  obviously only last night we were looking a lot about um on scoutcast about attacking upside as  well from these players because these clean sh

eets just aren't happening like we've been waiting all  year and they're still not happening and it's like so which Defenders are going to get you you know  some attacking upside as well obviously cash is up there yeah but then you've got other players that  you could potentially bring in big one that's now suspended but you could maybe bring him in a  couple of weeks obviously Reese James as well oh my God so James is on do not do not bring into  my team list and really yeah well I I created so

um FPL planner um Tien uh introduced me to his  uh his no buy list basically and and obviously he's got a longest you know he's been playing FPL  a lot longer than I have you know so in my three seasons I've very quickly realized that I should  not bring in ree James because he's the ultimate FPL troll so I've kind of put him on that list at  the moment but um I mean look if he's not injured if he's not you know he's he's getting red cards  and I don't know I'm just not I'm not um super excited

about I mean the prospect is there of  course the uh the possibilities are endless there but I just don't feel confident um bringing  you wait you wait when it gets to gameweek 16 and you're looking and you're thinking oh how can I  fit more Chelsea in and you look at Sterling but you got your five midfielders already you're never  going to get Jack in and you think could go James oh I could I could and he's only I'm writing it  down now you wait game week 16 I'll message you go so Reese James

bad either by the  way yeah you know you can go with like a zenchenko for instance but I think apart from that you  probably go cheaper and you probably because the clean sheets just aren't there you probably  go cheaper and free up funds for for you know a higher up the pitch you're looking at players  that just have nice nice fixtures up until the blank so you could go for a tofal forest have nice  fixtures you could go for a castania you could go for you know like a pin or something like that

  if you wanted to to prepare for brenford there's a few options out there 8 no's been mentioned  but he went off injured last night now yeah so there's a few little players out there but  they're quite uninspiring you're just looking at rotations really with your other Defenders I  would say oh totally and I think there's there's like question marks you know for a yeah I mean  question marks Galore I think at the moment as well like I'm not too crazy about like saaka is  just ticking over of co

urse like he's getting you know a assist um and that's what it looks like  like for him more than anything it just seems like loads of assists for him but at sort of 8.5  I I think he's still priced at 8.5 maybe 8.6 now or something um I don't know if that's worth  it as well like just for the assist and he's on the pens right so you know when I had PR on a  couple of weeks ago he really sort of drilled it in around the um the P the penalty takers and I  hadn't really been focusing on on stuff l

ike that as a sort of FPL manager I hadn't really been  thinking about okay who are the penalty takers I should prioritize bringing them in um but he he  made some really good valid points about the pent takers and I think that's just that's his style  of play and it seems like you know that's a good that's a good style of play as well um especially  with uh with you know Palmer and in most you've got Palmer in your team as well haven't you have  you I do not no I'm hoping to so it was going to

be e Palmer okay yes okay yeah um so yeah so I  look at sacka and I think do I hold on to him at 8 point something and and hope he just keeps  getting an assist um but he's not really had the explosiveness that you know we've seen in La  last season for example I I would say hold on to him I've got no no ideas to get rid of him at the  moment I'm I'm kind of looking at who I want over this Christmas period and Sack is one of them  he plays pretty much every single game as long as he's fit uh he'

s on penalties as well he it has  worried me a little bit his stats in terms of his XA over the last couple of weeks and they've been  very very low but he's getting returns even though they're low so as soon as he starts producing a  bit more he's going to start banging again yeah I just also look and think over the next couple  of weeks where am I wanting to make my moves I notic you don't have son which is obviously quite  interesting as well but if I'm looking at where I'm making my moves I

just it's not sacker I'm  losing and and you look at you know Salah and Son in January are going to be going to their you  know respective tournaments as well sacka is just going to be in my team for quite a while I think  I for that price I just don't know who I'd move to unless I was moving down to like say a Palmer  and then maybe upgrading my third Striker and go you know playing four in the middle I I I don't  think I will I'm more than happy to hold sacka and and prazz were 100% right pena

lty takers are  massive in this game we're not seeing an we have seen quite a lot of penalties this year but not  from the penalty takers we tend to own um in bumos there for instance and bumo such a great asset  this season because he's on penalties because obviously Tony's normally on them so yeah I think  Watkins is the interested one because obviously he's not on penalties but I think sack is a good  hold moving forward I would 100% hold him he's not a fire you need to get rid of yeah I hone

stly I'm  I'm you know quite guttered about um so I brought in boen um on my wild card and I brought in Moma  on my wild card in nine so Game MC nine and and of course you know both had um very good fixtures  and coming up especially the the West Ham sort of fixture run um especially and yeah it's just not  really worked out and you know I had to get rid of Moma cuz yeah he was we we knew that he was  going to be benched and so yeah yeah but then he was seen in training and I was like oh [ __ ] 

what the hell is going on um but um yeah I feel like there was there was a bunch of moves that  I made during my wild card that was planning for this fixture crunch that we're coming towards um  as well and and they haven't quite worked out the way I hoped you know they would and so yeah it's  one of those things where you sort of go do you like what do you do do you sort of go back like  I said do you go back on some of those players or do you sort of just move on move forward you  know with t

hose I yeah I don't know I have two free transfers going into gameweek 14 and at the  moment I quite like the idea of rolling one each time um but I have a question around goalkeepers  cuz look I know like we've not had much luck with goalkeepers in general um but kellerer is you know  going to be probably playing now with Alison being out um I know you touched on that a little bit you  know last night on scoutcast um yeah um not not last night actually it's Wednesday for me today  on Monday I t

got players that can play yeah and I'm even got Archer which you don't  want to have to play but he is there if I need him so I've got to bench e because he's out for  four weeks but he will be going next week I'm I'm half tempted to take a hit to get Palmer in but  I don't think I will because obviously Palmer's got Brighton at home and I want him anyway so I'm  half tempted but we'll see but yeah it's um that would be my first hit of the Season actually  really wow okay yeah I know but I I kn

ow the other thing is as well I know I wanted aumo and  I know I wanted C so they are two players that I 100% wanted I wanted CRA over any other Arsenal  Defender because I don't have to I don't want to have to worry about him over the Christmas period  and buma will play all the minutes and I'm happy with that he's on pens as well so they're two  players I wanted they've gone up in price I've just done it very very early so it could hurt  me but we'll see yeah yeah I um the only time I've gone

early this season was earlier in the  season when I got rid of shiao Pedro and uh and brought in Jackson and then I yeah I know it was  like a was that before Lon yeah it was a yeah it was a rage it was a rage transfer as well for  me and it's so funny isn't it because like xia Pedro got how many points like just gone on the  weekend I think it was like 13 or 14 points yeah anyway and he's been again he's been like on pens  and Ticking along you know whenever he has played but just no confidence

in the in the Brighton um  in the Brighton uh yeah the Brighton players at the moment but yeah it was the same with like with  Jackson as well so then I I transferred him out really quickly um as well and so yeah I I decided  after that I'm not going to make early transfers and so I've actually missed out on so many price  increases so many price drops as well my team value is not very high you know it's not it's not  as good as I I hoped it would be by now um but um that's the thing like I'm I

'm I don't have much  money in the bank at all I've only got like. 2 mil or something like that and so that's why I got  rid of Simas because is you know to sort of enable some future transfers of um you know I I didn't  know if I was going to hold on to matoma or not and so if I had held on to matoma um if I didn't  get rid of Simas and bring in lels I wouldn't have been able to go matoma to embo cuz mumo is like  three or four more than Moma and Moma was dropping I think um not sure if that wo

uld have impacted  me or not but I've made a lot of decisions around the price changes as well as you know just kind  of yeah just what's going on and gone early on a couple of occasions and regretted it as well so  yeah ah yeah so I feel like the season for me has just been a bit of a a bit of a cluster [ __ ]  from that point of view unfortunately it's not it's not been you know great from that perspective  but um I've taken two hits as well yeah I mean I was have you that's okay I mean I was

I was  talking to you before the stream one I saying that this is the time though like over Christmas when  there's games every three to four days and we're getting deadlines you know two to three deadlines  every week yeah this is the time where if you're engaged you start to really make it up on on the  chasing pack especially with the blank game week with Harland obviously not playing because he's  still going to be perac captained by a lot of you know Ghost Ship teams out there with Salah an

d Son  both going to afcon and the Asian cup as well this is the time where if you're engaged you should be  able to climb up the ranks and even though you're 1.4 million like I said four or five weeks ago I  was too .8 million you can gain that so quickly so yeah I think you'll be absolutely fine as long as  you're in the top Million by you know top sometime around Christmas I think you'll be fine yeah no  that's um that's promising thank you thanks for that positivity um but during I guess lik

e during  this fixture crunch right so from 14 to at least you know um I think it's uh actually no it's  all the way through isn't it right up until 18 19 isn't it really it's like seven seven G game  weeks over over the next month um how are you sort of planning for that I I I know that there  there is a couple of qu we've got some Q&A sort of afterwards um um and there was a question around  that but um how do you plan for you know I this is after you've gone early but if you were to plan  you

know how do you plan for those possibilities as well like when you've got such back to back you  know because I think we've got three game weeks in eight days or something coming up yeah it it's  I mean although I did go early I went early on players that I wanted anyway and I know they're  nailed players and it's it's just getting those nailed players those players you know are going to  get those minutes moving forward and there's the thing that's weird this year is that those nailed  players

are also on penalties and most of them are midfielders so that's why we've got those kind  of five midfielders we've got sacka who's nailed plays every game on penalties will probably play  every three to four games anyway uh three to four days anyway you've got son who they got no choice  but to play every week and is on penalties most likely we got Salah who's going to play every  game is on penalties they they they've got so many Palmer as well uh like we said in bumo too  there's so many of

these players that you can just invest it and know that you're fine the the the  biggest thing that you've got to make sure as well that you do is just make sure you've got a bench  that plays like you know if if you've got two free transfers like yourself and you've got a player on  your bench that was just you know bench fod we've got really cheap Defenders that play every week  those two points if you can get two points every week from an auto sub that could be 10 points by  the end of the C

hristmas period and that could mean you're 10 points up look at what happened to  boing you Bo obviously didn't play you want your your def your um playing player to come in and  also there's every chance so annoying I had like lel's second bench on there so but there's been  there's been two weeks where arch has returned and he's returned fairly big and you think actually if  you're lucky enough that it's one of those weeks yeah then he comes in and you're laughing and  people like had Gordon f

irst on their bench this week like there are those times where you can get  really lucky and but you're not going to get lucky if those players aren't playing so just make sure  that your bench is is full of players that that do play like and they don't need to be expensive they  just need to be playing the minutes yeah no you're right you're right that's um that's a really good  point especially about um the bench order as well you know that's something that I hadn't really  thought too hard ab

out until you know I started getting some Auto Subs um coming through and I  was like yeah I better better think a little bit harder about this than than usual I was yeah GED  about um although there were a lot of um previous game weeks where um huge amount of points left  on the bench right um yeah so do you think um like so I've got two free transfers you know and  at the moment I'm thinking I want to hold on to one for as long as like and keep rolling one for  the um the desperate sort of nee

ds that I might have um during during that you know the fixture  crunch itself um how do you sort of like how do you like prepare yourself for you know am I just  kind of holding it because I'm preparing myself for something that may or may not happen but how  do you sort of take the opportunity to you know think ahead and and bring in a player that where  you're you know a little bit more ahead in the in the thinking um rather than going back on players  you know or or sort of you know catching

up you know cuz there is a bit of a template and it is  quite strong as well and as you noticed I haven't got son I feel like I've been getting away with  not having son but it's been sort of on my mind as well like do I you know do I bring in son do I  sort of downgrade you know tripier um for example just free up some cash you know and upgrade you  know one of my midfielders to son later on perhaps um but I'm holding on to a transfer to just kind  of just in case it's my just in case you know

she hits the fan it's best best way to play it if you  can have two free transfers there's so much more you can do with two fre trans transfers every week  and the thing you can do with two fre transfers is obviously move funds around as well and like you  just said there with tripier if you wanted to if you only have one free transfer yes you can move  tripier down but you're having to wait till next week to obviously move somebody else up with two  fre transfers you can do that the other thin

g as well like you just said is over this period  there's going to be injuries there's going to be rotation there's going to be things that happen  if you've got two free transfers going into a game week you can not only get rid of a player that's  potentially injured you can also do your planned move that you wanted to happen as well yeah it's  don't get me wrong you could literally use those two three transfers next week but it does just  give you that little bit more in terms of for instance

we got the blank game week in 18 coming  up if you've still got two two free transfers for then or if you can roll it out of gameweek 18  you're making two moves to get City players when everybody else has only got one so it just gives  you that little bit of a a leg up over everybody else basically yeah absolutely absolutely and I've  just pulled up um the the one that Ben krelin had posted um which I quite liked just from a it's  just giving me I I could print this out and update my board behi

nd me actually with the fixtures I  quite like the the physical nature of you know um doing the planning and all of that actually that  that reminds me of the um so I mentioned it on my my conversation with uh with Pras um where I think  you you tweeted about someone sort of berating you for doing some physical sort of planning like  on pen and paper or something like that and then I I think I responded to you with my my big  Post-It note board with you know which is which is a little bit lighte

r now it's definitely sort of  lighter than what I used to do in my first season anyway it featured on um uh burning questions but  it was it's just so funny um how people sort of think about um planning and how they do it and I  quite like the the physical sort of side of it but this is um this is a this is a really good um you  know sort of version that Ben kedin put up which gives me a good sense of exactly what's going on  like date by date um but how are you planning for blank you know game

week um 18 at the moment yeah  so at the moment I mean a lot of people are going to be in the same boat with blank gameweek 18 and  obviously it is the going to be the most owned player at the blanks which is Harland I think  as long as you've got Harland most of us are going to have Harland and aumo going into that as  well yeah it doesn't feel like one of those blank game weeks where we've known it's there for so  long and because the fixture run for City hasn't been amazing recently some peo

ple have even gone  without Harland the problem is there two fixtures before the blank game week and their fixtures  directly after it are pretty good so yeah you're going to be wanting Harlem for those it's not  like you can get rid of them earlier but if you got say like an Alvarez or people maybe have D or  something like that still you can maybe get rid of those before that but the people that still have  their wild card I think are going to be loving life after the blank game week cuz strai

ght away  in 19 you can get that that triple City in and I think if you can have Harland Alvarez and I don't  know say a doaku if you really fancy it but like a Di and Edison whatever it is you're going to be  laughing going into that double game week because I think everybody else is going to be clamoring to  get them in and they were obviously already done it so yeah yeah I think my planning is just going  to be I'm more than happy to maybe get a brenford defender in now to prepare myself but

it's just  going to be keeping Harland in and in bumo and then have them ready for the double game week  blank game weeks are always low scoring double game weeks have way more range as to what can  happen so it's just making sure you're planned for the double game week more than the blank if that  makes sense yeah true true and yeah so we've got like a couple of likely double game weeks there  don't we like so on the um uh actually what game week 20 basically isn't it um potentially yeah so  ye

ah it doesn't seem like um are we expecting a more double game week sort of February time as  well like that's just just hasn't been sort of thought of at the moment um cuz I was thinking  about bench boosting funny enough um you you've still got your bench boost chip right you've not  done an accidental bench boost or anything like that no who would do that who does that who would  do that yeah exactly no I've still got all my chips still got all of them but obviously Ben krin  said that um it

could be a little bit different this year there could be one big double gameweek  but then kind of not such great one so there have been a lot of people that are thinking gameweek  20 maybe we use some thing some people use it for the Len Len Burnley was it luten Burnley had  a double game week didn't they um earlier on in the season so yeah I I will say as well by the way  when you say about planning and I'll shout him out all the time because he's an amazing lad and the  apps amazing FPL team

I use FPL team almost every week for my planning to just go ahead these are  my transfers what would my transfers look like if I get this player in how many times am I actually  going to use him moving forward I use that so much so shout out to him because that is a really good  planning as well nice no I've I've used um uh plan FPL I think just through the Scout membership sort  of you know from there and just um use that but yeah I haven't haven't used the other one I'll try  and give it a go

um as well yeah give it a go yeah yeah yeah yeah it's um yeah so I'm I was thinking  about like bench boosting just because um it's one of those chips that hasn't so far been that great  for me like I've not ever sort of well in my very short um time that I've been playing FPL um I've  not really got that much out of it and so yeah I was thinking about bench boosting you know in in  14 even just because um but that would mean taking out Turner and that's why I was like socializing  the idea of l

ike do I take out Turner and just bring in kellerer but then that also means that  I don't bring in um an extra you know Liverpool attacker potentially so if I do decide to go back  to simic um then great you know could do that um but I do want to bring in Darwin as well so I'm  really Keen to to sort of look at bringing in Darwin um as well just because they've got a good  fixture run coming up as well um but um yeah but you know are you are you planning on holding  on to son then so I'm just u

m thinking about like you know looking ahead a bit more to what  we are doing with our sort of players so you've obviously covered you know the few transfers that  you've made um but um yeah if I sort of um just go back to my team and show you sort of what I'm  thinking so this is my team going into game week um 14 at the moment um yeah I'm not sure so I feel  like I should just hold on to cash annoyingly I feel like I should just hold on to cash because  they've got Bournemouth away and not to

say that I expect a clean sheet there or anything like that  but it just seems like a good fixture to hold on to cash for one more game week um but um Bowen is  definitely sort of a player that I would basically take out um but if I look at like from a bench  boo point of view if I took out Turner and Bowen probably the only two that I'm like are probably  not going to play um and well Turner is definitely not going to play Bowen we don't know actually  what do we know about Bowen's injury um sa

me thing we knew last week that he's got fluid on his  knee but whether he's going to play we still don't know we we'll find out on Thursday though because  they've got they've got um midweek games so if if he plays midweek then obviously be absolutely  fine for the weekend yeah I suppose there'll be a press conference for that as well so we'll hear  something like hopefully hear something a little bit more from Moyes um so yeah so I could take  you know do two three transfers and then look at a

bench boo just because Archer's got Burnley  and then you know obviously Taylor but I don't know what I'm expecting there Archer of scoring  and then um but then I talked myself out of that very quickly as well like it was a that doesn't  feel good and I'd rather do it during a a double game week just because of the the probability of  scoring a you know more points during that double game week but um it did cross my mind though just  because it seems like you know the players that I do have es

senal so you're looking at son potentially being the kind of Best captaincy Choice in 18 yeah  I I don't think I would like I said be getting son I don't think I'd be looking at bench boost this  week just because single game we bench boosts are always so tough because you're just looking at  that one fixture whereas two fixtures so much more can happen and also with archer play and Taylor  like you said the chances of both of them coming out with something in that game is so low aren't  they li

congested period in mind  is there any methodology that Andy or you applied to guest players expected minutes apart from the  presses the theory that one who plays in midweek won't play during the weekend doesn't always work  yeah we touched on that briefly didn't we um with the the midweek yeah how do you sort of approach  approach this uh it's it's team dependent so there are certain managers that will say things you  know midweek and then you think they're going to play and they don't you ob

viously need to to know  about the managers and the way they talk there's also for instance Man City it makes no difference  whatsoever if they played midweek to when you know it's not they've he's rested them he plays certain  players based on who he's playing opposition wise and also there's so many tools out there that  guess X minutes or or will give you X minutes and they're pretty bang on in terms of which players  are nailed on yeah and there you know for instance someone like Darwin will

be lower on the X minutes  or someone like while Pedro will be lower on the X minutes and they're they're lower on those X  minutes for a reason so we know those players that are nailed that are playing every minute that are  on penalties as well we've mentioned them so many times already tonight and you just need to try and  focus on those I think Defenders is trickier but it's the agel thing center backs center backs are  going to get you the minutes Wing backs are going to get you less minut

es but have more upside and  it's it's just trying to work out those and if you're looking for bench players that are reliable  you go for those center backs that have got the minutes because they're the ones that they're  going to be there when you you need them basically yeah agree agree it's yeah it's so hard like I I  sort of really struggled in the in my first season with all the um cancellations and the the fixture  sort of you know like yeah just postponements cancellations all of the cov

id related stuff um  yeah that was that was really hard and then on top of that midweek games as well so it yeah  it was insane um question in the chat in on um on YouTube as well would you do Martinelli to  sacka for a minus four Martinelli to sacka yeah uh for a minus four again probably not although  I do worry about Martinelli a little bit I think he might have a few flash in the pan weeks but I  it's always sacker i' want so yeah I don't think I would do it for a minus four I'd be looking t
