Hacksaw Ridge (2016) - Behind the enemy lines [1080p]

This movie speaks for itself. In my opinion - it deserved the oscar. At least Andrew did. But anyway, I think that Mel and his crew did a great job, so I highly recommend to watch the full movie when you will have the time to do so. About the movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2119532/ Credits goes to: Cross Creek Pictures, IM Global, Icon Productions. Monetized by owner/s. Their ads

@Elevator829

0 kills, 0 deaths, 75 revives, top of the scoreboard

@ahumanbeing4662

That one teamate who revives you even if you’re a mile away from him

@liamthegreat1092

The man who played the part of the Japanese soldier did an amazing job of looking absolutely shocked and confused that the American soldier is helping him.

@AmericaVoice

Can you imagine how many new people and families who become alive after those 75 + lives was saved? I'm a Paramedic and a Former Fire Chief and have no idea how many lives I have been fortunate to have saved, but Desmond Doss at least knows of 75, that has got to a definition of a heroic angel!

@hanson1048

Desmond Kills: 0 Headshots: 0 Assists: 3 Revive: 69 MVP!

@timf2279

If any Medal of Honor recipient deserved this Medal it was Desmond. What a true hero.

@vladimirpuddin3319

People says "we need people like him", no, we need to be like him

@recklesflam1ngo968

And to think that the producers actually TONED down his feats, because what Desmond did irl is truly unbelievable

@sheesh7106

“A medic who won the war without a gun.” That’s my favourite phase I miss how Good this movie was

@seaweedcat4267

0:46 honestly every time he tells someone he's coming back for them it makes my heart go a little mushy. On the battlefield it really becomes every man for himself, I can't imagine how much of a relief it would be to hear those words when you think you're about to die alone and that nobody is left to help you. Edit: by every man for himself I meant literally every person in this video clip who thought nobody was going to be around to save them you dinguses, now stop fighting

@VeniVidiVici911

A true American hero..a real soldier doesn't fight because he hates what's in front of him,but because he loves what's behind him

@darrenprinsloo8605

I mean it’s just mental how he even helped that Japanese soldier, without hesitation, a true man of religion

@9foxgrl15

If you ever read his biography, you would learn that he was in so much pain during all this, but he kept going anyway. Faith and adrenaline are amazing things.

@Donut6975

The fact that the story of Desmond Doss is a real event in history is amazing.

@GrandMasterLynx

It’s amazing how Desmond Doss was able to save so many soldiers with his balls of steel

@db5202

I and my wife had the honor of meeting Desmond Doss back in the early 1990's in CT. Such a humble man, so small in stature, and yet a giant in America's military history. The book was much better than the video but the video was a good summation of what really happened. I'd imagine that Mel Gibson likely thought: "I'll have to tone it down a bit, too much content for a short movie"

@arivindharanbalakrishnan418

As a medic myself..this man gives me strength to carry on in these testing times

@andyrrafaelthebeastemperor8709

Of all the soldiers he helped, the Japanese one is the one that hits the hardest. He doesn't even hesitate, as soon as he acknowledged his presence, he immediately noticed his wounds and without a second thought went to help him. The way the Japanese soldier also realizes that and just "relax" and let him do his work, only to see the relief of the morphine. At that moment, there wasn't a Japanese soldier and an American soldier, there was a medic and a patient.

@jeremyf2720

My favorite scene from the movie was when he saved that Japanese soldier, it’s heartwarming seeing a soldier helping another soldier even when they’re enemies

@BakedPotatoYT1

I was amazed on how good this movie was until I realized it was based on a true story. I wasn't just amazed, I was stunned and greatly astonished. One of the best war movies I've watched.
