Synopsis
The story revolves around a boy named Van Fertio who is considered a child prodigy because
of his achievements in his young age. He is well-treated by everyone and his father
has high expectations of him to lead the family in the future. But when they learn he has no special magic
attribute but has commoner’s creation magic, he is disregarded by his father and is assigned
the head of an unhabituated Village. Vans sure has creation magic but he was once
called a child prodigy and achieve
s respect from his people. Chapter#1
A man left the village ten years ago for the city after graduating from high school because
he admired the life of the big city. But Little did he know what type of life lies
ahead, when he stepped into his practical life in his admired city. He got his job where he has to take a morning
train swarming with passengers, his work is judged and he is assigned more responsibilities. Even he gets to enjoy his weekend rarely and
has lost interest in reading his fav
orite novel. He has a boring life without any entertainment
and his corporate job leaves his body exhausted which makes him miss his peaceful and beautiful
hometown. One day, as usual, he arrives home and sleeps
in bed while missing his hometown. The next moment he opens his eyes and finds
himself in a strange place. He observes his own body which is childish
and then looks outside scenery through the window which is unknown to him completely. A maid arrives calling him, Van-sama, and
warns him
it's dangerous. She is Van’s personal maid, Till but he
asks her who she is and it surprises her. He appreciates the garden outside saying he
is moved after seeing the garden’s beauty. It leaves Till amazed that Van is just two
years old and he can speak such difficult words fluently with correct pronunciation. Van contemplates the situation that he is
going to be thirty years old soon and is a corporate slave office employee. He considers it his reincarnation and there
should be Van’s memories
of his life. He correctly guesses the maid’s name and
tells her his full name is Van Nei Fertio. His father is Duke Jalpa Fertio and his older
brothers are Murcia, Yard, and Sesto. Till listens to him and agrees with him gladly. The man has transferred to another world without
the help of Truk-kun. The family gathers in the dining hall for
breakfast. Three maids serve Van and feed him as he is
the VIP in the Hostess Bar. It's a daily routine at home where the Father,
Jalpa asks his sons about th
eir daily activities, and similarly, this day he asks his ten-year-old
second son, Yard what he learned today. Yard says he learned about fire magic and
formations in battle. Jalpa next goes to his third son Sesto asking
about his activity and he proudly says he learned magic. Usually, Van is exempted from such trivial
questions but unexpectedly Jalpa asks him what he is doing today. Van has a calm posture and says he thought
of studying the History and culture of this country because he does no
t know anything. His choice of words and unpredicted answer
leaves everyone surprised. Jalpa starts laughing that he thought his
wife Mira left him spoiled last boy but he is smart, even though he is two years old. He is looking forward to the coming-of-age
ceremony when Van turns eight and is analyzed if he has an aptitude for magic. It's important to know what kind of magic
one possesses and what is suitable to him in a world filled with magic. There are basically four elements: Fire, Wind,
Wa
ter, and Air that are devoted to protecting families and residents. Jalpa and his other sons are compatible with
four magical elements. The Fertio family is noble, specializes in
military power, and has pride, especially in strong fire type. This world has three continents and existing
weapons are spears, swords, and bows. Van is present in Scuderia Kingdom which is a
large country in the southern part of Grant Continent. The royal family here existed for three hundred
years and has expectedly e
xpanded its country slowly. The current King leads the nobles who have
fighting power and will attack a small country to get its territory. Jalpa has been promoted from Count to Duke
because of that. Van is in his study room guarded by his maid,
Till. He asks her pointing towards the map that
if it’s the port where ships sail and if there are no other ways. She tells him if the ship is passed through
the deep sea, it might be attacked by the Giant Monster, even passing through the strait
would b
e difficult if the narrow location is not used. Van's eyes sparkle thinking there are legendary
monsters and this way, the arrival of Europeans during exploration becomes sparkle. Till further informs him there are other races
like elves, dwarves, and beasts but it's rare to see them because they have built their
own culture in the countryside. The other maids arrive and make Till stop
that her words from the beginning were difficult. One of them asks Van if he is tired and wants
to take a nap.
He thanks them by saying that he is asking
such questions because he wants to know a lot and asks them if maybe they all are tired. The maids are impressed and fine so he asks
them about magic equipment. One maid tells him there are magic stones,
minerals, and crystals that can store magic and it can magic tools based on magic compatibility. A butler named Esparda, tall same as Sebestian
of Black Butler, seems to observe them and arrives there. he knows that Van learns easy
letters and numbers a
nd asks him with menacing eyes how much he has remembered. Esparda has been serving Father for many years
and Van has not spoken to him yet. Van terrifyingly says he cannot write and
knows a little about addition and subtraction. Esparda asks him some arithmetic questions
and he replies to their answers correctly. Van wants to disappear from Esparda’s vicinity
but there is something hellish waiting for him. Esparda decides to teach Van himself twice
a week. The period under Esparda has been a li
ving
hell. He provides study material enough which is
not suitable for a two-year-old kid but after receiving such harsh study Van can write and
read. After two years, Van has learned various things. One day, he is practicing a sword ship with
Till using wooden sticks. They swing their sticks to attack each other,
Till wins by dodging Van’s swing. Till proudly declares her win but it pisses
Van off and he runs after Till. Other maids grab Till and ask Van to punish
her. He does not do anything b
ut flinch at her
forehead. Every day he learns new sword techniques and
after turning five, he can fight with old apprentices called young warriors who are
not noble. The swordplay is interesting to him because,
in his previous world, he studied Judo in middle school which made him love martial
arts. It has a fair rule where just hitting the
opponent first with a stick, one is declared a winner. He is practicing with some random boy using
a plastic sword and shield. He recalls his two techniques
, the first in
Dojo which is keeping a profitable position before losing balance, and the other in karate
which is hitting the opponent when he takes a break. His opponent is ten years old with a tall
body, long arms, and legs and his swing feels further away from Van but he is a kid with
monotonous attacks. He neither has skill nor experience which
is a drawback. Van strikes the kid in return strongly, winning
the game which proves he is a prodigy and has talent in swordplay. Other kids observe
the whole game and have
a view that Yard and Sesto did not talk to low-caste people like them and since both
are fire users, they did not have an interest in swords. A person, Dee, a Deputy Chief of the Knights
Group and one of the strongest within Duke’s residence arrives and worryingly checks Van’s
hands to know if he has got peeling skin and rough hands. Dee is amazed that although Van practices
every night there is no evidence. Dee has listened to a rumor that Esparda has
issued an order to
make Van study three times more than usual. It shocks Van and he sulks that he is the
only one doing it from morning to night. When Van is worried related to Esparda’s
enforcement of the law of study, Dee says with a sparkle in his eyes that if Van wants
to learn more about swords, he will be one to teach him and declares he will make Van
the number one swordsman. Van observes Dee is serious and says he likes swords but he
also likes to study. Dee is disappointed to listen to it and he
has noth
ing to do, but atleast Van practices swordsmanship, he will be training Van directly. Van is not pleased to have Dee as a tutor
and wants to be taught kindly. Dee understands how he should not go hard
on Van as he is a kid but it was all a lie. They start training which is hard and he persists
on swings every other minute even while running. He does not even let Van rest for a bit and
asks him to squat while resting. It offends Van who considers Dee, not a devil
but a baka who rests on a floatin
g chair pose. Till arrives and encourages him he has worked
hard and he is great because he fights every day. Van wipes his sweat while thinking even though
this life is hard, he enjoys it every day. He never got satisfaction in his previous
life but has become a noble in reincarnated life. We see three years later when his father is
standing before Van, carrying his sword, and says he does not know the humiliation of this
failure. It's better to kill him rather than leaving
family. And this way
his beautiful life is going to
end. Chapter#2
When he is six years old, he requests Till to bring him outside to market. When passing through the palace, everyone
admires him for being a prodigy. Even Till appreciates him he is a genius to
master swordsmanship and, in this way, he can catch up with his brother and become head
of the family. But Van does not get involved in politics
where the weak fall prey to the strong ones and money and other facilities belong to the
head of the family. It's
very common in aristocratic society to
end the life of a promising sibling and unfortunately, he has no good relations with his brothers. This way he will not be able to enjoy this
life in peace and that’s the reason he decides to become a player. He does not know how to play so he starts
with shopping. He wanders around in the market along with
Till and guards and stands before a Marie Company. Till informs him it’s a big company with
branches all over the kingdom. While they are talking, they
listen to an
old man dragging his child who is wearing ragged clothes. The old man yells at Van that it's not a child
show. The guards are about to unsheathe their swords,
Van stops them and asks the man why the kid is tied with a rope. Man yells he is free to do anything with his
own child. His debt was in the child’s name so he came
here to sell him as a slave. Till fills in Van with the information of
the law of slavery that there are two types of slavery allowed, slaves for debt and slaves
f
or committing crimes. Long ago, in poor families, children who were
left and not fed would be sold as slaves and used as living expenses. Van understands now why the child does not
make a noise because slavery is common and everyone is used to this type of scene. A woman named Rosalie passes by and readily
recognizes Van and bends after him. She welcomes them to the Marie company, they
will show him what he is looking for. Van asks her the cost of the child, the old
man selling. She asks the man
about the kid’s magic aptitude
and learns that he can do the stealing. Rosalie estimates the kid's worth of three
big silver coins. The man is pissed and pointing over to the
shop says that it buys a slave in 5 big silver coins or more, a slave that can last long
has to be expensive. She informs him any shop will buy in less
than half the selling price and even that kid should be only given three silver coins. Men with their small bodies are of no use
because of maintenance costs. The old man s
tarts beating his own child that
he is worthless and won't sell him to Rosalie. When he is about to go, Van says he wants
to buy the kid. He requests coins from Till but she has gold
coins prepared. Rosalie steps in and buys the child, they
will exchange money inside. Van moves ahead to Child, reaching his hand,
and asks his name after introducing his own name. Van is looking like a prince helping a princess
but Kamshin is the boy. He holds Van’s hand and tells him he is
Kamshin. Van has freed h
im and now he can go anywhere he wants. But Kamshin’s father is a problem, moreover,
if Kamshin is lost again it will be troublesome because he does not know anything. Van plans to take him home as there will be
some work that he can do to help. One of the guards speaks Van won't be allowed
to bring in an unknown child unless he is a slave. Van asks Kamshin if he is okay with that and
when Kamshin nods, Van takes his hand to roam around the market together and have his clothes
changed first. Ros
alie stops them saying they have to make
a contract first, she holds their hands and makes a contract where a sign appears on Kamshin’s
hand. It seems Rosalie is a Contract Magician and
as it's Van’s first time she will not charge him a fee. Van thanks her and they go ahead in Marie
Company to select Kamshin’s clothes. When they are going, Van is still holding
Kamshin’s hands. Van selects a pretty good dress for Kamshin,
Rosalie suggests he buy an outfit that is used by slaves but Van does not s
ee him as
a slave so buys the one, he selected. After some days, we see Kamshin, dressed in
a well-suited outfit, enter a room where Van is and informs Dee is looking for him. Van gives him a cookie, by asking him to tell
Dee Van is not in this room. Kamshin has his slave mark visible on his
hands and after seeing it, Van asks him why he is not wearing gloves and if he does not
feel bad when people look at it. Kamshin says he does not care, it’s a sign
of bonding with Van but Van looks gloomy he
readily wears them. They listen to Dee shouting Van-sama so Kamshin
comes out of the room and tells Dee that Van-sama is not here and the people who witnessed Van
coming here must have seen an illusion. Kamshin still has some leftovers around his
face so he wipes them out when Dee pinpoints it. Dee understands the situation and considers
disregarding his orders is indeed a courageous act. Seeing Kamshin has got guts, he drags him
to replace Van in training. Van seems to be looking at them train
ing from
the terrace, he has a habit of being lazy and there must be achievement from going prodigy
to a normal child. If Kamshin gives up in training, he will replace
him. Chapter#3
Van has turned eight and it's time for the magic appraisal ceremony. There has been talk among commoners who consider
Van an extraordinary kid and wish he become the feudal lord. Fertio family’s son are compatible with
two major elements and there is no doubt Van will be also compatible with one. Fertio men are in a
hall and Van is surrounded
by tall and intimidating men. It is revealed Van is not compatible with
any element but has creation magic. 2nd and 3rd brother chuckle after learning
it whereas 1st brother seems shocked. Father is disappointed in Van because creation
magic is used to create something and the users are considered unfortunate. This magic is also called alchemy where accessories
can be created by imaging things but it has a drawback that it consumes a lot of magical
power and the users
end up creating just a sword. Weapons and decoration items can be made using
the magical power of people who have other magical compatibility. Nobles need four magical elements and in Fertio
family, strong fire magic and healing magic compatibility are accepted. The eldest son, Murcia inherited wind magic
from his grandmother. He works hard more than anyone else and holds
the position of head representative. However, he is still despised by other brothers
who are fire magic users. So, after lea
rning Van has no compatibility
with four elements, Jalpa is pissed off that Mira his wife left him a worthless child. He had expectations from Van because Jalpa
and Mira had strong fire magic powers and Mira died after giving birth to Van due to
having a weak body to store strong fire magic. Jalpa draws his sword saying Van showed unexpected
talent since he was a kid so he had expectations but having creation magic is a humiliation
to the Fertio Family. If Van is disappeared from this world, no
one will know about this failure. When he is about to slash Van, Murcia appears
before Van and speaks in defense of Van. There is an area within the Duke family’s
territory that he is currently occupying and it is completely undeveloped due to its location. There is a village in a remote area, what
about if they leave Van there as a feudal lord? Father also gives it a thought, its territory
which he acquired when he was promoted to Duke. It's also a place where Count Ferdinand sends
knights to b
e judged. The newly acquired territory still has loyalty
to Duke’s family and it won't be a problem if they assign Van their feudal ford. So, he assigns Van as the feudal ford of the
village and says him to get out here as soon as he finishes preparations. When Father and the other boys leave the place,
Murcia kneels down before Van apologizing to him. He also has been mistreated by his father
and brothers and he can’t stand his little brother having a hard time getting creation
magic. Van can h
ate him for giving his father such
advice. Van does not mind it and if Murcia hadn’t
come after him, he would have been dead by now or been sold out as a slave. In a desperate condition, the chance big brother
gave he won't waste it. Murcia is surprised at how genius Van is and
holds his arm softly saying it seems Van thinks about things more deeply than he does, to
touch adult’s hearts with sensitivity. Murcia reaches out his hand to Van while smiling. The duke's family will send him to a remot
e
area and Murcia can do his best to help him. Van holds his hand by saying thanks ni-san. Back at home, Kamshin starts packing the goods. When Till learns about Van’s transfer she
cries even if he cannot use magic he is still a wise and honorable noble. Van thanks her for worrying about him but
now he is looking forward to going to Village. Being a feudal ford, he will be free of noble’s
shackles and will do anything in the village. He looks forward to making the village his
favorite place to l
ive comfortably and happy. Chapter#4
We see some adventures talking about nobles that they are no different from commoners
and their priority is to protect themselves, not the kingdom. They would look down on civilians, especially
adventurers. One of the adventurers asks a man, Ortho the
reason why he accepted the request to escort Van. He says he had no choice because it was a
request from the Fertio family. Van arrives there introduces himself and expects
they will be his escort. Van considers
Orto cool that he is like a veteran hero and his
weapon also seems strong. Van has a cheerful personality and others
get along with him well. After the introduction, he manages the loading
of items from the carriages. Murcia has assigned ten adventurers to escort
him and planned to send a carriage but others had more things planned. Till enters the carriage saying she will also
be going with Van as she is exclusively Van’s servant. Dee also arrives carrying his goods to accompany
Van, he will p
lunge his swords at anyone who comes in Van’s way. Van is worried about the situation if he is
allowed to have an escort from a knight but Dee does not care. Esparda also arrives with his intimidating
personality saying he is now fifty years old so he wants to relax in the countryside and
Jalpa has kids all grown up so there should not be a problem. He enters the carriage saying he will overlook
Van’s studies while enjoying his retirement. They all have brought so many things along
with them. In
side the carriage, Van feels grateful he
has so many people by his side. Till sees him smiling and asks him if something
has happened. He shows gratitude saying he is glad everyone
is coming with him. Till says other maids also wanted to come
with him but only she was allowed. Murcia seems to be very busy and doesn’t
talk with maids, Yard and Sesto don’t treat them properly. But Van is different, he treats them kindly
and even helps them in cleaning. The maids who help him in the swordsmanship
a
lso like him. He turns to Kamshin saying if he did not like
it, he could have stayed in the Kingdom. It seems that the slave agreement can be changed
or canceled. Kamshin says that he has decided to devote
his life to Van-sama. Listening to all their wishes makes him embarrassed. Their carriage does not have a family’s
crest and the father wants him to vanish from existence. When they are about to leave the mansion gate,
the guard’s daughter runs to them and asks him the reason for leaving the m
ansion. Dee along with his minions arrives in a carriage
with a banner saying Van-sama’s entourage is departing. They want to give Van a proper send-off on
Dee’s instruction. Van asks him if Father has not told them to
be quiet but they make an excuse that it's the first time they hear it. Dee who was sleeping, wakes up shouting that
the fourth prince of the kingdom is here. They leave the palace making a way with Van’s
carriage following them. There are civilians surrounding them and asking
him
questions about his leaving the palace. Van did not know people cared about him after
seeing people’s kind response. When turns back, he sees Till has tears flowing
like a river. They camp in the forest because they have
to cross two cities and it's Van’s first time camping in a dangerous world full of
monsters. Van asked groups of adventurers to escort him and one of them is Ortho Sheet
who is a leader and a talented adventurer. He is an old adventurer and knows how to contact
clients and even
with an eight years old kid, he can speak decisively. Van thanks him with a cheerful smile and Ortho
leaves after observing him closely. Till arrives saying even adventurer can understand
Van-sama’s kindness. After crossing town and crossing two cities,
he camped several times. Their progress is slow because of the luggage,
they are walking between 50 and 100 kilometers per day and now have 500 to 1000 kilometers
within two weeks. While looking at the map, Till informs Van
that they are going t
o arrive at Village soon. Van wants to leave a good first impression. The one riding the carriage stops it on catching
the village’s glimpse and worryingly informs others that it seems the Village is under
attack. Chapter#5
They all stop at a faraway place and make plans to take their next step. Maybe the village is under attack by bandits
or mercenaries. Van is thinking about the situation in the
village which is surrounded by solid thick wooden walls. In front of the gate are armored troops st
and
guards, and behind them are an army of magicians. The opponents amount to forty to fifty and
they don’t know what their opponent is like. Dee wants to join the battle if they work
together they can defeat opponents but Ortho does not agree because it will result in sacrifices
and causalities. Dee does not seem to understand it and wants
to join the battle risking his life as it's Van’s first territory. If the crisis comes, he can't help but draw
his sword. Ortho also argues back saying he kn
ows Dee
is a good knight but it has nothing to do with this fight. He wants to escort Van and depending upon
the situation he might escort others but Esparda steps in saying Dee would be willing to sacrifice
himself for others. He can face thirty people including an army
of mages so it makes a fifty-fifty situation. If Dee dies then no one will rule over Village. Even if Esparda himself dies he is still a
four-element mage and if he joins the battle, they can see the opponents fighting power. Es
parda has prepared a plan. He will first create a barrier wall, adventurers
will attack from behind the barrier to lure the opponents towards themselves and then
Dee and others will surprise attack from the side. Van and others will get into the carriage
well designed to withstand the magic attacks and escape from the place. Esparda plans to stay behind and attack from
behind of barrier otherwise Dee and others will die. Van does not like the idea of Esparda leaving
behind so he decides to act a
s bait. Till is strong in opposition to this idea
and would like to bait enemies rather. Kamshin also says he would join Till and hold
enemies behind. But Van reminds them all he is the one in
charge here. He wants Orthro and adventurers to escort
him to the village and it does not include fighting to save the village. Esparda has retired from a noble family and
has contributed to Van’s family so he must not die in this place. Dee and the other knights are royal knights
serving Father and he has
to apologize to Father if something happens to them. He thinks of Till as his older sister who
spends time with him more than anyone else so he does not want her to die. Kamshin is very honest and Van likes it but
he does not need to die for him. He considers those who want to follow him,
amazing and kind people for him who is known as incompetent. He will never be like a boss who gives damn
orders and will put himself on the front lines. He draws the attack directions that he will
charge from
the front and others will attack from right and left. If the enemy does not retreat, they can leave
his body behind, if his life ends by bandits and if they don’t reveal his identity the
Dutchy won’t have to worry. Ortho and the adventurers come into action
with Ortho saying if Van says more than that he will have to scold the whole party. An adventurer, Purriel says she has been fooled
by nobles and she has seen nobles who can only talk. But now after hearing Van’s determination,
all adventurer
s want to risk their lives for him. The honorable knights also want to serve Van
who will be in charge of Fertio family. Dee says they will protect Van and thus the
future. Esparda moves ahead saying if expulsion is
completed, he wants Van to remember his duties and responsibilities as a noble. Van has to rest assured that it will end within
three days. They are all ready to follow Esparda’s plan
of modifying the area. First, he will create a barrier and attack
from a distance. Dee and his peopl
e will attack from the left
side and Ortho and his people from the right side. Those who won't attack have to be prepared
to move in case of emergency. They all charge forward with great enthusiasm. Esparda creates the barrier which amazes the
adventurers that he is a four-element mage and can’t be a butler. Ortho is very inspired by Van and does not
want a noble like him to die soon. If possible, he wishes Van to become the lord
because, in the past two weeks, his impression of nobility has com
pletely changed but he
still does not know much about Van. Till and Kamshin embrace him with tears flowing
through their cheeks. They are relieved Van did not act as bait
by himself. Van considers them as his family and makes
preparations for the battle. He commands them to bring medicines and medical
treatment out of the cart. If something worse happens, they will get
on the battlefield to help out. Chapter#6
The attack on the village is about to end because the settlements are falling apart. T
he bandits have their guard off and are enjoying
their win. Soon, they are attacked by incoming Van’s
guards which creates a ruckus. There is a wall behind them with a central
narrow opening. Dee and Ortho are charging simultaneously
from left and right but a bandit with heavy armor avoids them and charges towards the
wall. Ortho observes the bandit and knows the ones
behind a wall cannot see the situation ahead of the wall so he shouts a bandit is coming
their way. Purriel is a magician and is
hiding behind
the wall to prepare his magical strike but the bandit with a sturdy body arrives and
is about to strike her, Van blocks it. Van and Kamshin both charge toward the bandit,
Purriel forbids them to move ahead as it is not an opponent that children can face. But they deal with the bandit carefully and
finally defeat him. After some struggle, Van’s party has defeated
most of the opponents whereas some have escaped from the site. Ortho and others are binding the bandits where
Ortho says
he wants to stay here for a bit, However, some adventurers want to go back
for other quests. Ortho's reason for staying here is to observe
Van. Van has a sharp wit which is unnatural even
if he was educated as a noble. At first glance, he looks like a child from
a noble family but once he opens his mouth that image disappears. He is polite and gentle but often looks like
a cheerful and friendly kid. He also does not look down on commoners being
noble. The ones listening to Ortho agree with him
a
nd consider Van a strange boy. His movements are not like a kid but a knight
who has been in many battles. He is a mysterious boy and better than any
noble they know. If he becomes a Lord, Ortho wants to see what
type of territory would it be. Ortho asks his people if they are willing
to help him, they readily accept it and have no problem. Till is scolding Van for moving ahead alone,
on the other hand, Kamshin has the will to be stronger. Purriel interrupts them, saying he is a kid
and making a
girl cry. Van wants to be sincere with her since she
is important to him. Purriel asks Van if he is an elf since they
don’t age and look young. Van tells her that Till took care of him when
he was a baby so he must be a baby. Purriel further investigates him about how
he learned swordsmanship. Van points to Dee saying he was trained under
Dee directly even though he was not developed. His knowledge and wit come from Esparda and
his mindset seems to be influenced by Till. Purriel kneels before h
im because he saved
his life and she will never forget this gift, a life. Van gives a charming smile, saying her to
forget it. Purriel is impressed to see a noble has won
an adventurer’s heart. Esparda informs Van that villagers are gathering
around the entrance. Van moves ahead that they have to make his
first impression good. Chapter#7
They enter the village where Van introduces himself as one who will manage this territory
including the village. The village elder, Ronda moves forward, introdu
cing
himself, and thanks Van for helping them out. Van has heard rumors that the owners and soldiers
of this village do not take commands from outside so he apologizes to them saying he
will be the ruler and will take charge from now on. Ronda takes them into a place where he fills
them with information that there used to be one hundred fifty people living here but bandits
have attacked and just a hundred people are left here. The reason this village is the target of bandits
is because the lord
of Kingdom Jerinetta has changed. The border of Kingdom Jerinetta is close to
this village and knights used to patrol the border under the reign of Lord Ferdinand but
now the Lord has changed, and the border is abandoned. In short, the village is threatened because
now it belongs to Lord Fertio. Van apologizes to Ronda that the former ruler, Count has
supporters in every town and it appears his father has appointed Rulers only for larger
towns and the situation of small villages is still unknown
. Ronda considers his not village worth protecting
and it does not pay any tax. Van says to Ronda not to complain about the
state of this village now as it won't change anything. It triggers Ronda’s son, Malaga who stands
and Van observes him he is built strong with a gleam in his eyes. Van says him to sit down, he wants to talk
on behalf of the village. Van accepts nobility is responsible for this
and perhaps the founder of the kingdom, King Berlyneth has left flaws in law. These words create s
ilence on the spot. However, nothing can be changed by complaining
about the laws of the village and how they should be. They have three main goals; the village must
become valuable so that the Kingdom doesn’t ignore it, the Village has to make money and
hire mercenaries on a regular basis and they should develop and rebuild the Village themselves. Rondo’s daughter says they have also thought
about them but these options are not easy to implement. If one is in a remote area, if he sells wood
or
stone, it is impossible to make a profit due to transportation costs. Moreover, it's difficult for villagers to
produce high-quality crafts due to their low level of education. Van says passionately that now they have him
who is educated and would protect the territory. He will do anything to defend and develop
this village. Ronda and others do not seem to agree with
him and there is utter silence. Esparda intervenes and introduces himself
as a butler of Fertio Family. Van is a prodigy who is ap
pointed as a lord
of the village at the age of eight and he is considered a gifted child for many reasons. That’s why he and Dee, Deputy Knight Commander
of Fertio Family have come to serve the village faithfully. First Ronda and the others were hesitant but
after listening to who Van and the others are actually, they feel gratitude and are
surprised because no any noble has ever come to this village. Malaga excitedly asks Van that if he is noble
then he must be a strong four-element magic user
but Van bluntly declines and clears he
has only creation magic. Ronda and others give a gloomy reaction. It offends Van but despite this fact, he says
they will strengthen the walls to keep the enemy out of the village. The fence is strong but it's made up of wood
and is not resistant to fire. Van learns from Esparda that the earth's element
magic lasts till when magic is active but when energy is lost it becomes the normal
earth. So he plans to make the wall with the base
of the large earth roc
ks and will use small stones to reinforce them. Dee also presents his opinion of making a
moat, this will prevent outliers outside. He knows about creating moats and will be
involved in digging drenches. They should also set traps and prepare to
attack from walls, for this, they require bows and arrows or stones which will be easier
for the villagers. Van asks Ronda to gather Villagers as he wants to introduce himself
and their plan for the future. The villagers are gathered and Van makes his
mo
tivated speech. He is a kid but he has strong people supporting
him, they will make this village a prosperous one. Van seems like a politician who claims a lot
but and does nothing but Van is an exception because he is going to answer the queries
of villagers honestly. Some villagers step ahead and ask him how
he will set taxes on items. It has been difficult to pay 30% Tax on hunted
items like Monsters’s skin or fangs. Van knows 30% is too much so he decides to
drop it to 10% and if it's still
too much he will pay it for now. Villagers need to have a stable life because
if they can't pay their taxes, they have to sell their children. One of them asks him if they would have knights
protecting the village and what if bandits attack the village again. Van tells them the situation that the message
will two weeks to arrive there, one week for confirmation, and three weeks for the knights
to arrive in the village. There might be delays due to distance and
they might not even come. The curre
nt Kingdom does not have enough budget
or knights to defend a vast territory. Even if they acquire the knights, they would
be few in numbers to even help. It takes money to prepare food, horses, and
armor and if they hire mercenaries, it will be expensive. To present how strong Van’s party is to
protect the village, he asks Esparda to create an Earth wall inside the fence. So Esparda creates a wall that amazes everyone. Everyone’s cooperation is more needed than
any knights so if they live here
the village will grow more than before. Later, Van and others are spending the night
in their carts and using camping equipment because there are no lodgings. Ronda had tried to offer his house but Van
is kind enough not to kick an old man out of his house. So far, Van has never felt discouraged by
having creation magic but he will not despair, there is no wishing for what the four elements
can do. He did his best to appeal to villagers but
they are skeptical. So, to make progress and develop th
e village
he has to earn the trust of villagers. He will protect the village using his magic
and make it a pleasant place for everyone to live. Chapter#8
They are together with Rondo thinking about making their fence stronger. The attack can be done through magical bows
when standing on the walls but if the walls are short this attack won't be effective. Van suggests using a catapult but it’s a
siege weapon and cannot be used for defense. A catapult shoots huge boulders and it's hard
to tell whe
re they will fall, furthermore, it takes time to recharge the catapult. However, the fortress wall and observation
towers are big enough so they can be destroyed easily using a catapult. Van comes up with another idea to use a catapult
with another method. When loads of rocks are thrown using a catapult,
these will spread but if these are aimed at the entrance and a gallon of oil and a torch
are also added to those rocks, it will be an effective attack. Esparda asks Van who created this mechanis
m,
Van gladly says it is him. An utter silence occurs because his creation
magic is useless. Van also does not understand himself and his
power. On his way to the village, he learned how
to freely change the shape of stones, metals, and leaves and now is the time to show what
he has learned. Vand and others are roaming around the mountains
as the bandits have driven away and then can leave the village for a while. Ortho has been hunting the monsters around
the village to make some money. He sens
es some monsters ahead and moves ahead
leaving Vand and others to cut the nearby trees. Kamshin cuts some trees for Van who holds
a log in his hands and uses his creation magic. He has to create an image of the object while
using magic otherwise the result will be strange. If he imagines the object down to the smallest
detail, it works and the heat slowly moves from the bottom of his stomach to his fingertips. An image of fibers of the trees comes into
his mind which can be manipulated, he knits
them together to strengthen and creates a
wood block. The blocks are made up of wood but look like
plastic. These are stronger than normal wood so he
wants to think of using these blocks as the base. Ortho and others come back, carrying a dead
monster and they are surprised to see the blocks. Ortho carries one and can feel its light but
is tougher than he expected. Van is curious about how strong it is so Ortho
analyzes the strength of the block by hitting the block with all the strength he has
got
but the block did not get a scratch. Now they head back as they have hard materials
in their hands. In the carriage, Van creates many other items
using his creation magic and others ask him if he has not run out of magic power. It's a drawback of creation magic that it’s
hard to make things because creation magic consumes a lot of magical power. Van does not know how to tell if he has magic
power depleted or not. They ask him how magic actually works. He has to imagine a picture of a weapon
with
its features so he imagines a katana with a sharp blade and so creates it. Van also makes an axe for Till which is strong
and cannot be stretched but it's not girly at all and has a danger sign on it. Till makes offended faces, but despite that,
she is ready to accept this gift. He has consumed magical energy but he has
been improving in creating weapons. He carries a tiny knife that might be used
unexpectedly. Chapter#9
Espada has created a huge sturdy wall for fencing and protection of t
he village. Ortho and others are surprised to see the
wall. Ortho says Van is a genius but Espada is also
a crazy man who built a wall in only half a day. Van is glad he is put on the same level as
Espada and appreciates Espada that he has been helping Fertio Family from behind the
scenes. It's very reassuring he is following Van even
though he was about to retire. Van wishes for Esparda to have a happy future,
but Espada sneakily appears behind him and says that he has grown up and has to study
hard for a weak to hold an important title. Van is shocked to see the bundle of books
Esparda is carrying and in panic shouts that strengthening the walls should be a top priority
so he will do it now. Esparda asks him how he will reinforce it,
Dee appears asking if he wants to pile up stones. Van pouts thinking if everyone is baka, he
will try something with his creation magic. He goes to the wooden gate and feels he can
modify the wooden gate as he did with wood back in the forest to make woo
den blocks. The thing he has to focus on is increasing
the weight to make the entrance strong for the prevention of the enemy’s intrusion. He transforms the gate using his magic into
a powerful and sturdy one with the Fertio Family crest on it. He asks Ortho to hit the gate with all his
power to check how strong it is. Ortho gives it a strong hit and it results
in a scratch. Van is worried that it left a scratch which
indicates the wood is not a good material but Ortho and others are baffled how
a wood
can be this strong. Van smiles with pride. The next morning, van wakes up in a cramped
place where his body just fits. He cannot take a bath before changing clothes. They all have been staying in camps and carriages
since the day they came here. He goes out where Till and Kamshin greet him,
he observes that they are in worse condition than him. It cannot be continued forever so before strengthening
defense he has to prepare food, clothes, and shelter so he decides to make a house. He bri
ngs the wooden blocks he created and
gathers them at a place together with Kamshin. He asks Ronda if he can make a house at this
plaza If it's not being used by anyone. Ronda tells him it would be a better place
for Van as it’s the center of the village and is uninhabited by anyone. Van wishes to hold a festival and a carnival
someday if he can afford it. He moves to the place and puts his hand on
the ground. He plans to make a house here just for Till,
Kamshin, Esparda, and himself, and the bui
ldings for Dee and others will be separate. He imagines a thin wire to put deep into the
ground and then extends its diameter to create thick pillars. He designs the basic structure first and then
creates the interior walls to make large and small bedrooms with windows having shutters. Finally, he forges a mansion which is huge
for Van but small for Esparda, still, it’s the vast palace in the village. Till and Kamshin are also amazed and Kamshin
appreciates Van that his creation magic is much mo
re suitable for Lord than four-element
magic. Van agrees with the fact that strong magic
is compatible with territory protection. Esparda intervenes saying Van is right when
it comes to war but in times of peace, Van can still improve the lives of people and
he cannot think of anyone suited better to this role. It makes Van’s heart light and tingling
with happiness. Dee and his knights arrive and their jaws
drop in seeing a huge mansion that was not there earlier. When they learn Van made it usi
ng his magic,
they decide to bring on more wood to create more houses. Ortho and others also run to chop the wood
in competition with Dee. Thus, it creates a ruckus there to bring wood. Van turns around and sees villagers are also
gathered because they have heard Van can make houses. They all present their issue with their house
and the suggestions for renovation rise. He agrees to make their house as they live
in shabby and terrible conditions. He commands them to line up to create an order
for
house-making. He has no choice but to help gladly his people
with his creation magic. Chapters#10
Espada and the villagers are busy creating barricades, Dee and Ortho people are collecting
the woods and Van is creating houses in villages. Van has gotten used to using this power and
can handle the buildings easily but he prefers making furniture first. He is exhausted and doing for others reminds
him of his previous life where he was a corporate slave. He listens to Dee appreciating that he is
a
mazed at how great Van’s story of magical power is, it takes a lot of effort to create
such a magnificent palace. Van explains the general order in which houses
are built. Basically, four houses are grouped together
with streets and alleys arranged in a Grid pattern. The houses of ordinary people are built uniformly,
when they have a building stone, he will rebuild the houses for each family. He has also designed a bath next to the mansion. However, Till and Purriel are making preparations
to ta
ke a bath first, Purriel has used water magic to fill the basin and lit an old-fashioned
fire to heat the water. These girls also invite Van to a bath together
with them, Kamshin is an adult but Van is still a kid. Van flushes and says Kamshin is ten and he
is 8 but is still considered a kid. Van takes a bath later but regrets imagining
the girls with their exposed skins in water that why he did not go together with the girls
in the heavenly bath. However, he comes out of the bath and is refresh
ed
to sleep in his spacious room but it upsets him he has no furniture. He creates a bed from the hays he bought from
villagers and sleeps soundly with his heart content. In the morning, Till presents him a delicious
food, and it's kind of relaxing to have a delectable breakfast in his own house. Esparda is also there for breakfast and shares
his concern that protecting the village is important but they have problems with regular
income. He has heard the only way he can communicate
with the outs
ide world is through mercenaries. Van has his soul left and makes pout to observe
that Esparda is talking seriously but he has an omelette in his beard. Van says he can make houses, furniture, and
clothes and there is no problem in getting food so what is the reason they should not
focus on strengthening walls? Esparda makes an intriguing point to Van that
there are no spices and there are no ingredients for his sweet baked sweets. Van is surprised
to listen to it and is motivated to do somethin
g now. He wants to make an industry to sell some
products and needs a good idea. Kamshin has an idea to do trade with wooden
blocks Van makes but Van rejects it because he can only make those blocks. Till proposes that they should collect materials
from hunting animals but it is also rejected because Ortho hunts the animals so they belong
to him, not to Village. According to Esparda, Crops is the best option
but looking at the Village’s condition it would not benefit them. They all are out of id
eas and are disappointed. One of the Ortho’s men, Kusara is out with
Van, Kamshin, and Till trio. Kusara has his brand-new shield which is tightly
lined with leather on the inside and edges making it strong and resilient. He is brimming with pride. He wants to analyze its strength so he says
Kamshin and Till to hit his shield with the new weapons Van has gifted them. They both are hesitant to do it because they
know how strong the gifted weapons are. Kamshin steps ahead first and slashes the
shi
eld with his wooden sword but the shield breaks into halves, the same as Zoro slashes
the cannon balls into halves. Kusara cries wondering how can a wooden break
his oak-skin Knight’s shield. Van fixes the shield by joining the parts
and makes it more studier than before. Kusara is glad to see his fixed shield. Ortho passes by there and has a cart full
of Ores which he intends to sell to Van. He has collected those precious Ores at the
end of the forest, the base of the hills. He has ores of iro
n, some copper and silver,
a little bit of Gold, and the most important one which is Mithril Ore. Van is excited to see and wonders why it has
not been mined. Ortho comes up with a reason that it might
be far away and inconvenient and only a few knights would have explored them without noticing
such precious Ores and Medical Herbs. It makes sense to Van that it's a lucky find
which only skilled adventurers can gather and the mountains must be filled with considerable
resources. He carries an iro
n ore to remold it first. In the case of wood, the magic permeates evenly
through all layers but with an iron core, there are parts where it takes time to penetrate
the magical energy and some are molded easily. He converts the easily molded parts into sand
which leaves one-third of the original size. To improve its quality, he should melt it
and purify but he does not know the process and cannot grade its quality. Kusara is excited and requests Van to make
him a sword with a thin and double-edg
ed blade. Van agrees to make weapons for all adventurers
since they brought him ores. It increases Kusara's greed and he requests
more to make him a dagger and on long sword. He imagines the texture and shape of Iron
Ore, he has to make the blade thick except the cutting part which must be extremely sharp. Without wasting time, Van creates a sword
with a meticulous design of Hilt. It's not that he skipped steps to speed up
the making process, it's actually his power that has grown in this period
. Van gives it to Kusara who is Van’s first
customer. Van creates another big sword which is pretty
designed because Van has always had good grades in decorative and applied arts. Kusara excitedly howls attracting Ortho and
other adventurers who also request Van to make swords for them. Purriel checks the quality of the swords and
evaluates that they would be sold at high prices. Esparda is surprised to hear about metal ore
being mined in forests instead of mountains. It’s very rare to find such
ores in the
forest but it's an exception if there are Golems of stones, Irons, and other ores. If there were dungeons that would explain
everything. Ortho and others have not explored the forest
much so they did not stumble upon Golems yet. Esparda says to Van if Dungeon is found, their
fortune will change dramatically. There will be a lot of good and tremendous
trade will occur. It’s the idea Van wanted to increase the
economy of Village. Chapter#11
A dungeon is a paradise full of resources an
d treasures where Lots of weapons, accessories,
and country artifacts are taken from the dungeons. Adventurers have to report to the guild if
they find a new guild. There is a rule if the guild receives the
report of the new dungeon, they will quickly open a new branch in the nearest town or village. It’s a good opportunity for Adventures to
make their name and get in the best adventurer circle, they also have the right to explore
the dungeon first. Despite having found Dungeon at such time,
the
re are still issues they will have to face. If the village makes a report of the dungeon
in a situation like this, they won't be able to afford the guild’s people. The village will be filled with adventurers,
merchants, and even knights and they are already short on food and resources. There is a high chance that neighboring countries
will attack and the Fertio family is also a threat. If they find out about Dungeon they will send
their troops to occupy the land. Purriel suggests they should exp
and their
village before claiming the dungeons, this way Fertio family would not be able to do
anything. Ortho plans to narrow down the area to explore
where the dungeon will likely be and collect resources. Van Looks at everyone talking about claiming
Dungeon and wants to repay their kindness. Dungeons are important same as nobles, his
family sees him as useless, and if he claims a dungeon his brother will surely take it
from him. That’s why he has to use his power and will
not let anyone own t
his village. The housing situation has been stable and
now they have to focus on financial issues to strengthen the defense. They need a labor force but there are few
people here who know how to work with their hands. So, he would like to prepare a bunch of weapons
and shields before the arrival of traders. The defense is just as important and the outer
wall is almost complete. He laid stones to make the wall as strong
as concrete with the help of magic, the wall was small at first but he solved
the problem. On top of the wall, there is a ballista made
up of leather and is equipped with a shield to protect itself from the enemy’s counterattack. He has placed towers around the perimeter
of the village and they have also Ballista installed. Van is with Till and asks her to call Kamshin. Kamshin arrives and Van appreciates him for
his good work. Kamshin does not say anything back to which
Van asks him what the matter is. Kamshin looks at his hands saying he just
brought stones to Van and
he transformed the whole village easily. Van says that he must manage his village being
a Lord of this village. Van asks Kamshin if he desires anything, it’s
a question he could ask from a ten-year-old boy. Kamshin passionately says he wants to protect
Van with his life. Van did not expect such a reply and asks him
not to overdo it. Kamshin is so straightforward and cares about
Van so next time he will make an armor for his dear Knight to keep him safe from troubles. The village façade has trans
formed completely
and Van asks others if they can see such a well-protected village anywhere. Esparda does not consider the place a village
now, Dee calls the place a fortress where there is no way for bandits to cross the walls. Dee shows his concern that if Jalpa had been
aware of Van’s power, the Duke’s family would have grown vast with Van as head of
the family. Esparda interferes that Dee might think it
like that but saying the head of the family only considers the ability to fight to be
an
important thing. Dee speaks in Van’s defense that if Van
is given some time, he will prove useful in battles or even stronger than anyone else. Esparda and Dee get into an argument proving
their points. Van steps in saying it means less to regret
circumstances or what kind of talent one is born with, it's important to be able to adapt
to the environment and live what was given to one by fate. All others are surprised to hear such phrases
from Van and they seem to like it. The atmosphere convert
s to a cheerful one. Van makes a round around the outer wall. The ditches have just been dug and water has
not been filled yet. It is necessary to reinforce the bottom and
walls of a ditch, and they need to provide a water supply route. For now, they collect rainwater and filter
it or go to the river to bring it but they need a reliable source of water. Someone comes running in panic and shouts
bandits are here again to attack. Van commands everyone to get behind the walls
as soon as possible an
d shut the gate. Van is impressed that villagers are quickly
responding to his commands even if it has been just a few days. But they all are terrified so to raise their
morale he gives a short speech saying he knows they all are afraid but it's all for the Village’s
future. He cannot protect this village alone so requests
them to lend their power to him. It raises the confidence of men so according
to Van’s instructions, some men go to watch towers and some to Gate. When Van is going ahead Till
grabs his hand
without saying anything but with an emotional face. He understands something is wrong and requests
Dee, passing by there to observe the enemy to find what they are up to. Dee agrees saying leave it to him. Van is confident that Dee is an amazing leader
and genius, even though if he were in favorable condition he would still win because he has
honorable and trained soldiers with him. Dee also feels proud and advances forward
thinking he has now Van-sama beside him and he would sac
rifice his life for Van. He goes up and laughs whereas the Villagers
are panicking in terror, and observes the bandits running towards them. He informs Van there are about fifty or hundred
and are hundred yards away. Van suspects someone is following bandits,
may be patrol knights but it opens Dee's eyes when he sees armored dragons roaring and running
after bandits. It makes the situation worse because there
are no experienced fighters in the village and even they would have a hard time fightin
g
armored dragons. Magic would be effective but only Esparda
and Ronda’s daughter can use it. It is possible to defeat Dragons by attacking
at their weak points but no villager can do it being unable to withstand the paws and
tails. Van orders them to fill Ballista with an iron
arrow, Dee is suspicious that this arrow attack will be futile but he recalls he decided to
follow Van for life. He tells other soldiers and villagers to calm
down and listen to Van’s sayings. He wants to use bandits as b
ait for about
40 eight-meter large dragons. Van feels sorry for Bandits to which Dee laughs saying he
should have known it. He considers laughing in times of tough situations
as the only solution to tackle it. Dee is in command of villagers' men and orders
them to hit dragons when Bandits jump into the moat. They don’t have to be afraid if they hit
an eye or a mouth, it would create an opening for them. He is in high spirits that none of them will
die and will win this battle, and they will have
Dragon Barbecue for Dinner. Chapter#12
The bandits are on edge and have run out of their energy. Some of them fall into moat and some are still
staggering on the ground with no stamina left. Dragons are also close to the firing range
of Ballista so Villagers fire their arrows at the dragon. Dee observes the arrow's trajectory which
seems to be disappearing first but strikes the Dragon’s paw and some dragons fall on
the ground on the spot which amazes Dee. Van is curious about the situation outs
ide so
Dee informs him they have eliminated ten dragons in one shot but they have run out of arrows. Van suggests him to use a wooden arrow if
an Iron one is limited, Dee expected such an absurd idea coming from Van. Dee analyzes the villagers have gained confidence
after one shot and now men on watch towers have also been stabilized at their positions. So, they fill their Ballista with remaining
Iron arrows as well as wooden arrows, and fire at Dragons with the win in their minds. Surprisingly,
wooden arrows have results not
the same as Iron ones but they also leave impact enough to pierce the skin. They fill their ballista with wooden arrows
and fires at Dragon who are defeated completely. Dee claims their victory which creates a Hooray
all around the village. They have no causalities and have used about
60 arrows. Dee goes to Van giving him credit but Van
sneaks toward the wall and sees the Dragons which are actually Dinosaurs. Dee does not know what Dinosaurs are and accounts
Van f
or this victory that if it were not for these ballistas they would not have not saved
this village. Receiving praise is very cringe to Van. His sight falls on the bandits who are about
30 in number lying in the moat. They capture those bandits who beg for their
lives that if they are turned to authorities then they will be sold as slaves or will be
imprisoned. So, they wish to work for the village instead,
but they are not pure enough to be forgiven for their crimes. One man arrives hitting band
its that they
ended the lives of his parents. Van keeps the man away saying he does not
have to make his hands dirty for such people. The bandits have to face proper law and until
then they will work for the village. The butchering of the dragons begins and they
have to keep their eyes, fangs, and bones intact. There are many dragons for them to deal with
and if thirty workers use swords created by Van they will be done with just four or five
dragons in one day at maximum. Ortho also wants to wo
rk on when the dragon’s
flesh is still fresh so from the next day, Ortho and Dee’s team and as well residents
start butchering meat. With their hard work, the work is completed
in just three days. The next night, Van holds a large bouquet
for the villagers to celebrate the victory. Now the village has become strong thanks to
Van and others, so villagers don’t have to worry about money. They must enjoy this event by filling their
tummy with fresh meat and a lot of sake. Van takes a bite of Dragon
’s flesh and sparkles
due to its mesmerizing and delicious flavor. Meat is grilled to a crispy crust with a juicy
and tender interior. Van asks Ortho if all the parts of the Dragon
taste different, Ortho informs him the meat inside is fatty and tasty because it's protected
by a hard shell. Ortho changes the topic and is convinced the
Ballista are as strong as the weapons Van created for them. All adventurers appreciate the weapons and
their features and Dee overhears them. It breaks his heart an
d his gang goes to Van
with a menacing aura to make them their weapons. When Dee hears Van has charged Ortho and others,
he tries to convince Van with a sparkle in his eyes to lift charge of these weapons. He has been Van’s loyal subordinate and
if he has to manage the materials and finances he will need outfits for three men. But Van sneaks out of the place. Ronda and his family are also enjoying the
feast. They feel the environment calm that the day
has come again when they can be together, la
ugh, and eat good food, along with an aristocrat. Esparda passes by there saying talking like
that about Aristocrats can be problematic but it's part of Van’s charm. He will do many more amazing things in the
village. Chapter#13
Ortho tells Van about the selling price of Dragon’s meat that the merchant will buy
the one dragon with a shell for about 20 gold coins. It's costly because most of the meat sold
out is rotten and if they sell the Dragon’s meat considering the transportation cost,
they w
ill get 8 coins. They have more than 30 bodies so in the end
they will receive more than 300 coins. Van is surprised to see the conversion of
gold coins to a yen that these coins would make 300 million yen. Esparda arrives to congrats Van on his successful
defense against the mythical creatures and further informs him about a law that states
that a village that earns more than 100 coins has to pay a tax of 50% to the treasury of
Marquis. Van is shocked that the taxation system exists in this wor
ld too. Van intends to hide this fact but they cannot
because atleast the presence of one dragon with a shell could be silenced but having
more than 10 dragons would be found out for sure. On top of that, everyone will learn about
the state of the village. Esparda advises him to tell his big brother,
Marquis about the dragons and credit with the dragons. They will deceive others that they stumbled
upon the adventurers and mercenaries and they eliminated Dragons individually. Three older brothers
always claim to be head
of the family and Van wants his brother, Marquis who helped him, to win. It will be favorable for both of them. Passing through the village, everyone surrounds
him to show their gratitude and calls him Mi Lord. One of them says let him marry Till. On listening to it, Van holds her hand flushing
and thinking he acted like an adult in the bath scene where he should have acted as a
kid. After walking for some distance he frees her
hand thinking attachment is important but d
ignity is also important and someday Till
will have to leave him. He is about to ask if she is interested in
someone, but she interrupts him saying she wants to care for him and that’s the reason
she did not think about it as she wants to be with him for life. Van goes to the watch tower and asks a man
if he spotted someone and learns about merchants, Mister Bell and Mister Lango. That man can see the merchant's face from
a far distance. Van commands to raise the bridge and prepare
ballista beca
use there can be bandits in the carriage. The scene shifts to the merchants who are
discussing how their wagon broke on the road and most of the products became unusable. They also won't have profit in the village,
Hashimura where Van is staying. When they arrive close to the village, they
are surprised to see there are no cottages and wonder if they have come to wrong way. They listen to Van standing on the wall who
after introducing himself asks them if they are traders. they have to tell him
the trader’s company
and their name, and if they are an escort then each of them has to state their name
and position. The merchants have already heard about the
fourth son of Fertio family and are shocked the owner of the village is a kid of ten years
old. Mister Bell and Lango are brothers and introduce
themselves. they have a security guard, adventurer Air
who is a group leader have a silver spear. Van affirms from Ortho and if they have met,
Ortho agrees they met in guild and also drank toge
ther. Van grants the permission to enter the Village. The brothers are surprised to see the Village
interior and when they meet with Rando they say they got worried about the village. Van introduces himself again and then asks
them if he can see the dragon’s shell. It makes their hearts flatter and they readily
agree because the adventurers even hate to fight with those dragons. The brothers are sparkling and are enjoying
because they did not think their village would have such valuables.
Van ta
kes them to the warehouse where the brother’s jaws drop to see the material
present. They pacified about forty dragons with their
shells and also arrested some people to move stuff. It’s a lot of material to carry so Mister
Bell asks Van if he can wait that they need people for trade as soon as possible and it
will take a month. Van is agreed with it and says it's time to
eat delicious meat. It puts Bell into thought that the village
has a lot of meat and it will rot eventually so he proposes an
idea to Van that if he does
not mind they would like to sell meat to a neighboring village. It is a poor village and after paying taxes
they won't have savings left. Bell thinks the food in that village must
be running low and if they give at least some meat for free, it will help someone. Van decides to provide the meat for free to
that village, Bell is the trader but profit is not the main thing for him. Bell finds Van a sharp-witted person as rumors
say. He offers to pay Van a good price for
bandits,
thinking their profit would be non-existent. Van thanks him but he wants Bell to come village
in the future and promises he will not regret it. Van takes them to see the quality of the armor
and upon seeing the intricate designs of the weapons and armor, the brothers are astonished. Ortho let Air check the sharpness of the sword
by allowing him to cut the dragon with a shell. The hard skin is cut off smoothly with a sharp
blade, so they decide to buy these weapons at Van’s provided pri
ce. There are many weapons and they will buy those
later. Van takes them around the village and lets
them see his Ballista. They are fascinated by the Village and while
having lunch, Bell says he would like to talk with other merchants and increase the number
of visits from one to two. Van wants some good meals and sake to make
the village more cheerful and advertise his weapons. But the brothers make faces and are hesitant
to reply, Van understands they are probably thinking of selling those we
apons just to
be themselves as exclusive sellers. Van says if two people come into the village
with the same route every time they will reach sooner, they also have to come up with some
ads so the more they sell the more they get. The brothers are curious to know how they
should do it. Van asks them to open a village shop, if it
were possible to negotiate with the owner of the enterprise or with anyone it would
be great. Van is ready to even build a house for brothers
to give them a stable incom
e and the opportunity to have their own store. If they agree he would not have to negotiate
with other merchants so this deal is beneficial for both parties. Bell agrees to work in a store until things
get better and they join hands to start a new business. Chapter#14
Lango along with adventurers leaves the village first to convince the chamber of commerce
to get Village other labor and materials. It is suspected that the commerce will be
convinced by the efficiently designed swords, the skin of
a Dragon, and the magic core. Van has also sent a letter to Brother Murcia
to tell him all the achievements done in the village. At the entrance, Van makes a shop for Bell
according to his instructions where the first floor is to deal with customers, the second
floor is a place to live and the underground is to act as a warehouse for goods. Bell cannot believe this and is overjoyed. The products for the shop will be done in
a week so the deal with Bell is done now. In the second half of the day
, Van along with
Kamshin and Till go out from village to river. The forest is rowdy and Kamshin, being a bravo
and gentleman is leading them without fear. The truth is Van wanted to show his care to
everyone but instead he is tired. It takes them an hour and then they finally
reach a beautiful flowing river where they must get water for the village. Thus, the construction of the water supply
starts. Esparda with his tremendous power digs ten
meters in an instant and when he takes a break, Dee an
d others dig the way on their own. Van follows them and strengthens the walls
of the stream. Van is glad because making a way for water
is sure a hard job and working together to achieve a goal is on another level. Eight hours later they can see Village which
is hard to believe because it was supposed to take a week, it shows how diligently they
are working. Van asks them to stop working for today. Dee wants to continue as they will reach the
village in a few hours but Kamshin and others are exh
austed. Van is startled seeing the old men which demonstrates
the old generation has hidden power. The next day, surprisingly they dig into the
village before the end of morning. There is a barrier struck on the way of channel
to the village and Esparda breaks it on orders of Van. The freshwater of the river flows into the
village which makes the residents pleased. Now it will save their time and effort to
get the water. They need an instrument, a Filter to purify
the water so a man named Lou gi
ves him a material because he is interested in the making process
of something made by Van. He designs a filter machine made up of branches,
leaves, and clothes which will be located at the end of the canal drawn to the wards
of the village. The water will be stored directly in metal
gear, the right amount of water will be drawn from the tap installed under the water tank
and then moved to the boiler. They don’t have anything to boil water so
Lou goes to ask Bell if he has a fire magic crystal f
or the same purpose. The water has come flowing through the moat.
Van is concerned about something and asks Esparda if there will be flooding due to rainfall. Esparda agrees and explains that Essentially
depending upon the volume of water, the channel is widened and embarkments are placed in those
places where it floods but water does not have a place to go out. Van proposes if he should make sure water
returns back to the river if it overflows or if he should make a lake behind the village. Esp
arda considers making a lake a wonderful
idea because in times of lack of precipitation when there is no water coming, a reservoir
is priceless. So it is decided to create a lake 200 meters
away from the back of the Village and three days later, it is finally formed. So far Van is so happy to have a lot of water
in reserve. The next moment we see he is in a bad mood
because it is still morning and the sun has not even risen. Till is making him prepared and after apologizing
tells him many people
including Ronda are in panic. Dee and Esparda are on their way to the newly
made lake named Lake Van. The lake is called after his name in honor
of his merit and to preserve his legacy for future generations. The village name has changed to Van Village. Van feels so awkward having his name being
used for Lake and Village. A man leads them to the lake through the passage
from the back side of the village. He arrives on the scene and sees there are
residents gathered around the lake. He advances
further and sees a creature like
a mermaid in lake water. Chapter#15
It is said there live mythical creatures with perfect blue hair in the river of deep forest,
they are half human and half mermaids called Abgallu. It's not easy to see such creatures easily
but the girl in the lake is the Abgallu. Van asks her name loudly and she does not say
anything in return. Van considers she does not understand language
and asks Kamshin to bring food and fruits to build a relationship. He presents it to Ab
gallu who swims to Van. Dee, Ortho, and others are prepared to plunge
if she makes her move but she arrives near Food and asks Van if she can eat them. Van surprisingly says she can speak and it
terrifies her with a chill running through her spine, making her swim away from him.
he asks her to swim back so she comes back and takes a bite. She makes a face suddenly and asks who caught
it. everyone around them gives credit to Van even
though he is modest enough not to accept it. but he undeniably
says it was he who caught
this meat. Without saying anything, she dips into the
water and everyone is surprised at what’s happened just now. The next morning, Till comes running to Van’s
room and wakes him up by shouting that there is a message from the villager about the attack. She heard the enemy has already occupied the
water moat and they are not ready to leave until they see Ballista. Van reaches the top
of the wall and sees there are several Abgallu. it was a child first the previous day
but
now there are men and women of different ages. The head of their clan with a scarier look
says he wants to talk with Van. Van wants to bring strong men along with him
to talk with Abgallu man as he looks scary. Bell is interested in going with him and says
with a sparkle in his eyes that it seems Abgallu brought some rare things and customers say
the business with Abgallu expands greatly. Van agrees and they all go to the water channel
bank. The Abgallu man says that his daughter is
very gra
teful to him, he heard a boy has defeated the dragons and it seems it's true. The men around Van also look strong. He has come here to talk about the marriage
of Lada Priora with Van. It makes Van mad about what he is talking
about, who is Lada Priora and what is marriage. The man introduces himself as Lada Vesta and
Lada Priora is his daughter, she has a fine body and will shine bright in the future. He points to Priora who is playing with her
friends in water. They are of Lada race and have no
t spoken
to people before but last time their river became a place for dragons and that’s why
most of their people died. That’s the reason they are looking for a
strong husband for Lada Priora. Van understands the situation they are looking for someone
strong for their safety and will let him marry Lada Priora. He says she must the guy she loves and he
will protect them without such a contract. In this case, Vesta decides to stay with his
son-in-law in the river but Van forbids him, asking them
to move to the lake because there
are bridges and the guest merchants will scare them. Van realizes a few seconds later that Vesta
called him son-in-law. When Vesta returns to the water, Van yells
he is not his son-in-law but no one listens to him, instead, Priora farewells him by calling
him Mr. Husband. Esparda says Van is lucky to have a friendship
with Abgallu but he did not anticipate first wife of Van would be an Abgallu. The lake is occupied with all Abgallu and
Van is devasted thinking h
e would also have to look over them. With this thought in mind, Van creates two
buildings for them as a place to relax. Later, Villagers start to make contact with
Abgallu and share grain and meals. Abgallu also begins to bring Ores to villagers.
Van plans to build one more wall more powerful than the previous one that will protect the
lake and fortify the village for Abgallu security. Esparda advises him to make a city for future
development as there will be many people but the territory will b
e smaller. Van asks Esparda if the variant would not
be better for two thousand people but Esparda bluntly declines it saying Van will need to
spend time more time on it later and that’s something he needs to consider first. Ideally, the length of each part of the wall
should be atleast six hundred meters if fortifications, houses, bases, and various guilds are taken
into account. It is shocking to Van who wonders if they
are really going to build it, he was planning to create a 10-meter wall by
himself. Esparda further explains that the time for
the wall build will start in the future when Van would have enough people. For now, they can build a wall in such a form
that they would like to upgrade in the future. Van shares his opinion that he is looking
for a variant city with a non-square fortified city, in a star shape. Van draws the structure on a piece of paper
and points at the triangular part so that if the enemy defeats it he won't be able to
enter the get into the city. If the e
nemy ignores the triangular part and
attacks on the city then he will face a concentrated attack from right, left, and front. Esparda is impressed by this formation, in
this case, even efficient mages won't be able to shield themselves. Suddenly, a man comes running to his room
informing him that messengers have come from Count Ferdinand. There is not just an emblem of Ferdinand,
but also a unicorn emblem and shield of Viscount Cayenne, a rising nobleman from a faction
of counts. There are three
wagons and about one hundred
soldiers. We see two women standing before the village
entrance. They don’t like the authenticity of the
rumors about the so-called prodigy so they have to check it by themselves. Chapter#16
Van and others are prepared to welcome uninvited guests who are messengers from Earl. They enter the room and surprisingly these
are two girls where one of them is a kid and the other one is a busty woman like Esdeath
of Akame ga kill. Van introduces himself first as the owner
o
f the village then a woman introduces herself by name, Panamera Karrera Kaien who was just
promoted to viscount, a parvenue of from knighthood. The kid girl nervously also introduces herself
as the daughter of Count Ferdinand, Arut Ann Ferdinand. She got information that Marquis Fertio resided
in this village and her father suggested she should meet him. Van analyzes the situation that they sent
the youngest daughter then Panamera would be an escort. A court whose territory was reduced by the
de
cision of the king, the court would be angry yet at the same he admired the Marquis. the genius Van was sent to a remote area which
scared Earl that Van would plan an attack and that’s the reason he sent his daughter
and escort to gather information on the opponent's status and for the subsequent agreement with
him. Panamera has her eyes opened after listening
to Van and then starts laughing saying how he can understand it all even though he is
just ten. His hypothesis is right, Ferdinand was no
t
able to read Maquis Fertio. Everyone was looking for an influential heir
and Van’s name has come up many times in the last two years. If he draws so much attention then what will
happen to the current definition of magical abilities? The grand opening takes place soon and the
Marquis boasts of his continued prosperity but since it has not happened yet so they
have there. Panamera cannot understand why he was chosen
as the owner of this village even if he did not get the magic of the four eleme
nts. If rumors can be trusted he is the child prodigy,
usually the owner must be highly educated to develop the territory and that’s the
reason Earl was wondering why Van received the lands bordering the territories of the
count and kingdom Jerinnet. Van exposes his identity that she is right
he does not have abilities related to the four elements and he was transferred here
on a whim. He does not get what she means by his father
making him do something. She says she has heard this was the villa
ge
of a hundred houses but he converted it into a fortress in just two months. He even has an experienced butler, a high-level
knight, and two thousand people at the very least. He has technology that lets him move the army
invisibly, he knew he would be spotted but he still did it. it’s a step toward turning the border into
a military base. There is an intense environment with everyone
worried, Van starts laughing out of nowhere. Panamera asks him intimidatingly what is funny,
but Van is still
laughing. He says everything his father allowed him
was to take Kamshin and his luggage. His family told him to leave in silence and
even sent him off. She asks him what about the ones around him
so everyone starts giving their honest reviews. Dee says he was impressed by Van’s wisdom
and talent so they followed him. Esparda says he is an old man and when he
learned Van is going to leave for the village, he decided to retire and give all his skills
to Van. Till says even though Van is an aristoc
rat,
he cares about his subordinates that’s why she would like to serve him. Van says he is very grateful to all these
people for following him to such a remote area because they wanted to get closer to
him. Panamera wants him to explain the situation
that how he transformed the village. Van stands up saying she will have to see
for herself. He is going outside because he has to build
one more fortress wall. He comes outside and sees the soldiers of
Ferdinand lined up. He goes ahead and commands
his men to bring
him wooden blocks. They go out of the village with the girls
following him with a suspicion that he must have prepared an ambush. They stop at the place where Van aims to create
a wall of two-meter gate with different corners than decided and will change it later. Esparda uses his magic and creates a crude
wall. The girls are surprised to see Esparda as
the four elements in resignation. Van then uses his skill and creates a refined
gate with meticulous design in a minute using
wooden blocks. Arut asks Van how he has done it and what
is his magic skill. Van tells them he has unfortunately a creation
magic and he can make only items. In society, it’s a useless kind of magic. Even though Van considers himself a worthless
brat, he does not know he has got rizz to impress Arun Ann.
