With an estimated population of 50000 people, they live in Angula & Namibia. They tribe follows many different practices. From the clothes they wear to the food they eat, everything was different. I've come here to stay with Himba Tribe for a day and learn about their lifestyle in person. It is like a loin cloth. Just covered

in the front and back. So they're lighting a fire to sit around it. They brought firewood. We will be staying in this house. I am going to stay inside that for the night. Check out this puppy. They raise dogs here. It is 6:30 PM They are all busy preparing food for the night. Everyone is preparing their own food as required sitting by the entrance. There is a family cooking over here. And a family over there. Over that side is another family. Both the husband and wife are cooking together. They

don't sit and eat together here. There is a group. So they cook according to their requirements. That's their culture. They don't sit together and eat. They sit separately and eat. Our parents wouldn't let us play in mud when we were kids. But kids are roaming here with mud on their body. It is butter on his neck. They have applied butter and some kind of leaf for aroma. It has started getting dark slowly. Herders have returned after tending goats. These kids now has to extract milk from the g

They've served us tea in the morning. This tea is prepared with tree leaves apparently from these trees you see around here. They prepare

this tea using leaves from the tree. It is tasty to drink. They've added sugar. So I sense no other taste. We've to drink hot tea in this cold. Or we cannot really survive. A goat had given birth to a kid in the morning. I was capturing it. Himba apparently means beggars. For years together, they used to beg for food or dresses or anything they wanted. So Himba itself means beggars. They've mixed the mud into a ball. They're going to apply this on the houses. Let's see that. She is applying the

mud. The mud applied on top was all pasted using hands. That's how they apply and built houses here. It is a woman's job. It takes 2 days to build this house apparently. There are many trees in the forest. So they cut wood and use them. Women have to build these houses for their families. It is very difficult. She is gasping for breath. It proves helpful against mosquito bites and sun damages. I've wished for so long to be part of some tribe and live like them for a day. That's why I've travelled this far to Namibia. a Himba Tribesperson now. It is quite funny but now that I've transformed, I am planning to marry one of them. Look behind me and see how is it.
