with an extremely bright display at the Snapdragon  8 gen 3 a 5,600 mAh battery some camera upgrades on top of a very attractive launch offer the  magic 6 Pro is a great new offering from honor but doesn't live up to the expectations let's take  a look so first up if we look at the display it's curved at the edges as well as all four corners  we've got minimal bezels all around and then we've got a pill-shaped cutout for the camera but this  year it's been moved from the top left to the top cent
er it's a 6.8 in 120 HZ ltpo display we get a  1280x 2800 resolution but like many other phones it's not enabled by default so the first thing I  recommend doing is selecting the full resolution in your display settings we get an impressive  Peak brightness of 5,000 nits which is incredibly useful when you're out in the sunlight we've  also got 4,320 HZ pwm dimming for those of you concerned with eye fatigue the screen is smoother  responsive and even with the curved display I'm not getting any
issues with mis touches and  overall it's just a pleasant display to use we've also got Honor's nano Crystal shield for increased  drop resistance but of course I'm not going to be putting that to the test we've also got ip68 water  resistance so it could be fully submerged in water the camera pill has got the dynamic Island feature  taken from the iPhones and inside the pill it's a 50 map wide-angle camera and a 3D timer flight  sensor so this means that we get 3D Face Unlock now the under disp
lay fingerprint scanner  is an optical one but it works well it works every time and it's fast enough and then the face  unlock works well and it unlocks the phone nice and quickly now over on the rear we've got some  changes to the camera module and personally I do like it it's a bit more refined than on the magic  5 Pro and it's a mixture between a square and a circle but it does work well and I think it gives  a nice leak look to the phone you can see it's got the 100 times Zoom branding ther
e and this only  only works with photos and we've got a 50 mp wide angle with a variable aperture we get a 180 mp  telephoto and then a 50 mp Ultra wide but we'll go into more details in the camera test shortly  now the phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 gen3 it's paired with 12 gigs of RAM and 512 gig  storage and it comes with a 5,600 mAh battery with 80w wire charging and 66 W wireless charging and  it's also got reverse wide and Wireless charging now unfortunately they've taken anot
her Leaf out  of Samsung and Apple's book and we no longer get a charger in the packaging and it's now just a  USBC cable but the battery easily lasts me the day and then it's nice and quick to charge back  up now I actually did a battery test with the new s24 Ultra when I continually ran both phones  through Benchmark and the magic 6 Pro lasted a lot longer than the s24 ultra and it actually lasted  35 minutes longer while benchmarking so under normal use that's going to be quite a bit longer
in terms of chipset performance it performs well as you'd expect I ran it through geekbench 6 where  it scored 2,224 for single core and then 6,000 for multi-core and for comparison my s24 ultra scores  2,279 for single then 7,124 for multi but where the magic 6 Pro performed much better was in the  long GPU benchmarks I ran it through the 20 minute Wildlife stress test and it scored 18,50 with  a stability score of 65.2% and for comparison the s24 ultra scored 16785 with a stability  score of 4
3.6% throughout the benchmarks the s24 ultra was better at Short benchmarks whereas  the magic 6 Pro was getting better results in the longer test as the s24 ultra was suffering a lot  more with thermal throttling so for mobile Gamers out there the magic 6 Pro is going to be a much  better choice for those long gaming sessions now of course when it when it comes to Mobile gaming  it's a Powerhouse and it's easily going to handle anything you throw at it I've tested it with  games like the latest
Call of Duty mobile and Asphalt 9 and it just performs incredibly well  you can play them in the highest detail at the highest refresh rate and everything it just runs  buttery smooth for media it's a pleasure to watch on the magic 6 Pro it's a large and vibrant  display and the speakers are also pretty good and the sound is reasonable it goes plenty loud  enough and my only complaint is that the higher volumes it's a little bit on the Trey side and  it is lacking some Bas became the protector
of humanity now when it comes to doing the usual  tasks like browsing the web going through your socials and sending messages it's great and Magic  OS 8 has come a long way and it continues to improve through each update now I've experienced  a few minor bugs with apps freezing and crashing over the past couple of weeks but I'm talking like  one or two times so it's nothing major in terms of bloatware there's not much on there pre-installed  and it's only things like booking.com and trip.com tha
t I go in and uninstall we can customize it the  always on display to show us the wallpaper or just show us a partial screen with the information  and then we've also got the standby clock when the phone is left horizontally and this shows you  the date and time in a nice and large format now as usual there's plenty of themes and styles to  choose from as well as plenty of customizations in the settings we've got auto magic ring that  allows you to seamlessly share files between your honor devic
es and you can even use a mouse  or keyboard or touchpad to control the phone you can connect the phone to a PC or tablet and use  the phone's camera as a webcam and it's also got an easy option to tether your mobile data to your  nearby devices so some useful features in there if you've got a few honor devices now we've also  got the magic portal and this allows you to take text or images and move them into different  applications and again this is a very useful feature so for example you can h
ighlight text and  drag it into the side of the screen and you can then use it for other apps so for instance you  might want to save it as a note put it straight into Gmail to send someone or if someone sends  you an address you can drag it straight into Maps there's no option to drag it into Google search on  the side panel but you can still do a web search by clicking the three dots and then selecting  web search now for images we can also drag them into notes Gmail and even search for things
on  eBay using the image but the downside with this one is that it only works from the photos app if  you're on the web and you see an image you can't press and hold it you got to screenshot it first  and then you can drag it across overall though it's a good feature and I'm sure this is something  that honor is going to continue to build on with future updates honor have also promised 4 years of  OS updates along with 5 years of security updates so that's great news for those of you that are
going to keep the phone for a long time when it comes to the cameras we've got a great camera  system packed into the magic 6 Pro and it provides very Punchy photos with bright colors and lots  of details now there are a couple of drawbacks compared to other phones such as no 4K 60 from the  selfie camera and then no 8K video from the rear camera but overall it's a good camera system we  get great video from the 50 megap primary camera we've got nice colors and exposures the colors  are a little
bit oversaturated from my liking but nothing overboard panning it holds Focus  well and we're not really suffering from dropped frames and the stabilization isn't the best I've  seen but it's perfectly good enough and it does the job video from the Periscope camera is also  quite good and it delivers a nice video overall I find it does struggle with focus when panning  and again the stabilization isn't the best but overall we get great quality video for the ultra  wide we've only got electronic
stabilization but we get some good quality video and we can change  up between all the lenses while recording video which is great now for the selfie camera I'm  finding it overexposes a little bit and I'm disappointed there's no option for 4K at 60  frames a second but it's still good quality from the selfie camera and again stabilization is  okay but of course it is electronic stabilization in my testing there was a lot of wind coming at  me and you can hear that in the recording it's cancell
ed some of the wind noise but you can still  hear plenty of it but I do like that the noise cancellation isn't cutting into my voice that I  find it with some other phones that are heavier on canceling out the noise so this is the video  from the primary camera it's 50 megapixel we've also got Optical stabilization there is a lot of  wind blowing at me at the moment so it's going to be interesting to see how the mic picks that up  also we got all the cars going by just do a slow pan over around
let me do a quick P back walking forward at the moment so  we'll see how the stabilization copes with that we'll just wait  for this car and go for a quick run so I was holding it one-handed there so now  I'm holding it two-handed be a little bit more stable at nighttime I'd say it does a satisfactory  job with the selfie camera video there's a lot of flaring from the lights in the background but  it has lit up my face quite well it's a bit juty with the footsteps is we've only got electronic  s
tabilization but it's good enough for such dark lighting conditions with the rear camera the  stabilization is much better but again we've got a lot of flaring from every light source  from the traffic lights to the street lights and the headlights on the cars and I have to  admit it is quite bad on this video so it does distract a little bit from the footage but when  I'm not pointing at any any bright light source then it does perform much better when it comes  to photos from the primary camer
a you can see they're all very vibrant and Punchy images it's  a little bit too heavy on the saturation for my personal preference but there's no denying that  it takes some great photos we get sharp images with plenty of details in the highlights and the  shadows and all these photos were just taken with a point and click without any manual adjustments  we've also got the variable aperture and this can switch between f1.4 and F2 and you can either  leave the phone to do its own thing or you can
manually select the aperture in the Pro mode and  here's the comparison between the two apertures but as you can see we continually get sharp images  with plenty of detail and all the photos came out pretty well for the zoom camera we get great  images at 2.5 times with a 180 megap Periscope camera it's the same Punchy photos that we're  getting from the primary camera and throughout all of the 2.5 time zoom shots it really does a  good job the camera also performs well into the five time zoom
and even up into the 10 times but  as we start pushing past the 10 time zoom things start to get a bit worse and 100 time zoom is  something that I'm personally never going to use because it just loses way too much detail but  here's some example of that for those of you that do want to use it we get good quality photos and  portrait shots from the selfie camera although it does appear to be doing a little bit of smoothing  despite the beauty mode being completely turned off then we also get gre
at portrait shots from the  rear camera although like most phones it can make errors with Edge detection especially when it's  given a harder situation to deal with here are some examples of the ultrawide camera and again  you can see they nice Sharp Images with plenty of detail we got nice highlights and shadows and  overall just some great quality photos so overall the camera system is not going to disappoint and  as I said it's a little bit heavy on the contrast and saturation of the images f
or my personal  preference but of course it's all down to what you prefer night photos perform well in very low  lid environments as you can see here we've got a bit of noise as expected but also plenty of detail  and more than I can see with my eyes as with the video though if we've got any bright lights in the  shot then we do get lens flare and quite a lot of it now the phone has just launched and I actually  held off doing my review as I didn't know the confirmed price but the launch price w
ith their  launch offer is pretty impressive there's an early bird discount available until the 27th of March  and can get the honor magic 6 Pro for just $899.99 and to be honest at that price it's a really good  buy we've got a high performing phone with a great display and a good camera system to match and a  battery that has higher capacity than the likes of Samsung and Apple are offering along with much  faster charging speeds to match after the 27th of March the price changes to £1,100 whic
h makes  it a much tougher decision on whether or not to purchase but it's still a viable option now it's  a well-rounded phone with all the features and Hardware you'll need and across all aspects it's  not going to disappoint when it comes to comparing it with other flagships it stands its ground well  and to be honest I prefer the software and the camera of the s24 ultra but now the launch offers  have gone for that the honor magic 6 pro at the launch price is offering much better value that
would be really hard to pass up for comparison the s24 ultra with the same RAM and storage is now  1,350 which makes it 4 £50 more expensive than the 6 Pro so if I was looking for a new flagship phone  at this point in time I'd definitely be going with the magic 6 Pro so that's it for today but of  course I place the links down in the description below for the magic 6 Pro and as I said if you're  going to get it then I would act fast to get this early bird offer now if there's anything I've  mi
ssed or you've got any questions at all then just ask them in the comments and I'll get back  to you as soon as I can but thanks for watching the channel and don't forget to subscribe  to stay up to dat with the latest t back

@jahalang0112

We used to call phones of 700$ a flagship killers, this one cost 1k+ so it's already a flagship 😂

@mlbbbombie7780

Here in asia the Honor Magic 6 series comes along with a jelly case and a power brick inside the box.

@stefanEf

Thank you for that video. There is an gimbal problem with the phone... The on/off button is in the way and the camera weight helps not really too

@timwindsor03

Thanks TT. Much appreciated. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day.

@2ru2pacFan

Now this is what you can a proper review with you going outside and recording in depth etc. Thank you. Tbh I bought the Oneplus 12 and I own the Magic 5 Pro and the difference is a lot especially in software, the software on the Honor kinda sucks since it's not integrated well with Google as Oneplus or Samsung is.

@dr.mohamedassemelliethy8080

Awesome , would you please tell me do the dynamic island is exactly functioning as iphone or just showing media player and recorder......I mean can do alot as iphone dynamic island

@BigJeffroeX438

@CrookzArtwork

The background music is lite

@chris56269

Does anyone know if this phone has a call screening feature? Do Honor phones have any software bloat as in Honor apps that do the same things as default Android apps?

@filipp.23

Note: "dynamic Island" was 1st provided by honor, not Apple :)

@fendykusumohadi

I'm prefer Oppo Find x7 Ultra ❤

@pradeep2662

I feel like the phrase flagship killer is misunderstood by the reviewer. Good video though.

@cuerex8580

why does dxomark rank this phone second place in Audio and you say it lacks some bass? in the graphs dxomark shows that it is on par if not better than iphone 15 pro max

@dionisisliakopoulos8413

Maybe your lens wants to clear..

@nasz687

Can’t be a flagship killer for the same price as a flagship 😂😂😂😂

@harryvlogs7833

Great video but it's 1099 nowhere near a flagship killer

@LaljiK6367

Dynamic Island? Why? 😭
