We must take a moment and recognize the absolute mastery it takes to film such moments .
The BBC hands-down makes the best animal documentaries currently. Gorgeous stuff.
The ocean never ceases to astound and terrify me.
I had no idea this monster existed, nor the defense mechanism of the prey. Nature is wild!
I'm now 53 years old, and I grew up watching BBC wildlife documentaries (usually starring/narrated by Attenborough) while sitting with my Dad; lots of fond memories there. If he were still around to see the incredible quality of the current stuff, he'd be truly amazed, impressed and most certainly entertained! Even more impressive is that David is STILL around and creating evermore awe-inspiring documentaries for yet another generation of curious minds! It's one of the very few things the BBC spends the TV Licence on that's well worth it. ๐
Absolutely beautiful how effortless the angel shark just glides along the ocean floor. Amazing shots.
BBC Earth has the best quality when it comes to nature shows. Canโt wait to watch this series. Also love the way the Angel Shark smiles at the camera after catching itโs prey.
Filming, editing, commentary from Attenborough ๐๐ผ, thanks BBC for giving us the PE III!
Round of applause for the young horn shark giving us a demonstration on what happens when someone tries to eat it.
The production value of BBC programs related to nature is beyond expectations, off the charts, unmatched by any.
The cinematography, the music and of course the narration for Planet Earth III has been phenomenal so far!
The video quality of this so freaking good for some moments I doubted if it was actual footage or animation because it was just SOOO amazing. Also, props to the editors for doing a great job at making this feel like a horror movie with the sound (also, when they show the close up of the spike and there's like this little sound that kinda sounds like a blade, I thought that was awesome)
I swear that angel shark is just straight up grinning after every meal. I didn't even know they existed...such a cool design
Ha! I like how the angel shark looked as though it was thinking, "wait a minute... something's off here," then proceeds to spit out the baby horn shark.
Most iconic voice over for the wildlife channels
I like how the horn shark swam away like nothing had happened, as if it wasn't inside another animal just a few seconds prior I bet if he could speak he'd have said "Chew on this, baby!"
Crazy how each animal has a secret weapon or attribute.
Iโve never seen that shark before! Thatโs terrifying how fast it gulps down its prey!
Lol that shot at 0:58 reminds me of Homer disappearing into the bush
SoCal diver for 20+ years. You've done an excellent job of portraying the absolute beauty and mystery of our kelp forests. If you're ever on Catalina Island, all you need is a mask/snorkel and fins to discover this amazing environment!
