@BorgusWeems

Hi all, Adam Marans, co-writer and producer of We Wanted Children here, filling in for our director Tim O'Connor as he celebrates his wife's first mother's day as a mom. We are thrilled to be premiering on Alter on this thematically appropriate holiday, and I'll be hanging out here in the comments to answer questions about the short!

@ltlhorrorhub

The beginning dialogue of this is so realistic and raw. Its literally like watching me and my husband. "Thank you for breakfast" trying to be kind when you are literally furious with him but dont want to fight. The look of shock and irritation when he dismisses her worries about her hair. Spot on.

@IrishMorgenstern

Not even two minutes in and the acting is just breathtaking.

@MrPhife333

Through what horrid, dark realms did this man wander to find such an unholy abomination? What cost in tears and blood? And what horror is now unleashed upon the world? Lovecraft would be proud!

@dhalav

Remember kids, for every problem there is a solution involving necromantic magic.

@davidnordmeyer513

The wife has such a wonderfully expressive face. Kinda reminds me of Ellen Burstyn

@observationsfromthefencepo7207

This one dellivers quite a thought provoking experience. There is a sadness and early grief to it. There is also beauty in the intent. Then the horror comes in what was the cost and what will be the cost which is left up to the viewer imagination. That is superb. I felt the acting and the pacing and atmosphere worked for the story. Great work and thanks to all involved.

@marekblahovec1357
