the US and British militaries bombed more than a dozen sites used by Iranian backed militants in Yemen the targets included logistical hubs air defense systems and weapon storage areas used by the militants President Biden says the strikes are meant to demonstrate the US will not tolerate the group's attacks on ships in the Red Sea Fox's Rebecca Caster reports the US and UK hitting back after weeks of hooti Rebel attacks on Merchant ships in the Red Sea the White House confirming the two countri
es launched joint military strikes in Yemen on Thursday defense officials telling Fox News the strikes were carried out using missiles and fighter jets the houthis need to stop these attacks and that they will bear the consequences for any failure to do so since late November the Iranian backed hooes have carried out more than two dozen attacks on Commercial vessels claiming the violence is a response to Israel's war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip though most of the ships targeted have no connection
to Israel we have the capabilities and the capacity to do what we need to do to execute the missions that we've been assigned in a statement President Biden says he will quote not hesitate to direct further measures to protect our people in the free flow of international Commerce but there are fears this could spark a broader Regional war on Thursday the houti supreme leader promised a bigger response to any attacks by US forces on their military positions any American aggression will never go
unanswered the response to any American attack will not be at the level of the operation that was recently carried out with 24 drones and several missiles but rather much greater if we think that firing a few missiles is going to cow the houthis and they're going to stop doing what they're going to do and they're going to be deterred that's not going to do it Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin remains hospitalized but said in a statement in part quote the United States maintains its right to self

Israel needs to tell the US to stand down and show restraint. Wait……what????

@paluski786

To give fire to an entire forest it only takes a small spark. Just like in wars you know the day it starts but not the day it will end.

@Rob-cy8xc

This man telling the Uk and USA what he will do is hilarious.

@AlexAnder-rv1gu

"Have no connection to Israel" is how they describe a ship owned by a non-israeli country on it's way to Israel.

Fun Fact: PERSIA fought for 700+ years with the the rome and the eastern roman empire, not defeated but sacked time by time the west, by that time yemen was also part of that Sassanid empire and all middle east with it, just remember that who are you fighting with, they used to rule the 7 seas from india to Europe (Greece and south of ural mountains), and you can't defeat memory of a huge empire in the memory of their people, so much that west esclates, they sink with with eventually.

@theophrastus3.056

Remember how the Democrats said back in 2016 that Trump would get us into wars all around the world? 🤪

@ghassenbarca2527

America is not ready to fight any war for many considerations, let alone a war that might become a regional war in which its ally, Israel, and all of its allies in the most important region in the world will disappear, after almost losing Ukraine. A very bad geopolitical situation for the Americans

If suez canal is the link between Asia and Europe and has Approximately 12% of global trade and 30% of all global container traffic, and it's now closed due to war. The Panama canal is the next best option, however the canal has been experiencing the low water level which hampers the transit time. This leaves them with the Cape of Good Hope option which is the safest and more predictable but the longest, and that will come at a cost. Could this be a reason why of lately in South Africa we have some weird voices calling for Independent Cape/Cape Exit? maybe the US government want to setup it's territory here even Amazon is building a massive scale distribution wharehouse here, and as South Africans we are not happy about foreign influence subdividing our country.

"“The Houthis are just sitting there in Yemen, much further away than Lebanese Hezbollah is from Israel,” Mr. Knights said. “They’ve been bombed for the last eight, nine years. They have a very high pain threshold. All their leadership is extremely well hidden so the Saudis couldn’t assassinate them during the war. They’re locked down. And they’re actually much more ideologically pure and determined than Lebanese Hezbollah or the militias” backed by Iran" Yemen is just another "NO WIN" corollary to USAnian "gunfight at the OK corral" motivated misadventures in which its feudal vassals (e.g. UK) and proxies (e.g. Pakistan or Ukraine) draw iron. The costs of countering Houthi missiles is prohibitive and gives the Houthis the same advantages the Sunni Arab made and US-Pakistan trained, armed and mobilized Taliban (including Obama's own regiment, ISIS), enjoy.

@ginathacker6207

Two things, I’ve heard that Iran is VERY UPSET about this…so, TS! Second, I’m shocked about the situation with Sec Def Austin, literally AWOL.

@VictoriaGonzalez-dd7bi

It's more important to us as a nation that we can ship our cargo, then any people's safety. We are not prepared to make sacrifices, material ones mind you, to stand behind the message that we as civilized people can't allow the murdering of men, woman and children in the brutal and sheer volume that is happening in Gaza. Because of social media you can't not see it. You can't not feel it. We can only choose not to do anything about it, not change anything about oursselves, our lives and habits. I mean I don't..

@Kim_Needs_You

At any cost the pirates should not be allowed to control the navigation of commercial ships

@Suwi3

So good that UK and US are defending all the other countries not just them.

@user-qt3nn3xi7i

About time we stand our ground

@darnellsamuel8009

I'm quite sure Biden doesn't know what's going on.

@ricymaulnaa9429

So quickly you responded to the Houthi troops who only prohibited merchant ships from passing through their territory even though you could pass through other areas without having to attack that country, whereas currently genocide is taking place in Gaza now but you are just silent and rambling.
