What is corruption? To us it's simple:
corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. Whether it's
paying a bribe to access public services like health care and education or
whether it's money laundering schemes involving billions and dirty money,
what's important is HOW corruption affects YOU, and the cost of corruption
can be enormous. Corruption can cost you your livelihood, your rights, your health, your freedom and sometimes even your life. It erodes democratic freedoms, rule
of law and trust in government. Corruption also reduces your chances for
a healthy environment and sustainable future. When money meant to tackle the
climate crisis is stolen, that's your future being taken from you. When money meant to improve your local schools hospitals and roads is snatched away, opportunities
for a better life are lost with it. When money meant to improve your
government and the rule of law is stolen so too is your chance for a more
just and secure future. Every year we lo
se billions to corruption, billions that were supposed
to improve all of our lives, our opportunities and our
communities At times the scale of the problem can
seem overwhelming but corruption is not inevitable. Together we have the power to
stop corruption. Join us!

Transparency is a great concept. However, the video lacks (avoids) the beginning: Why there is corruption? Who initiates corruption? What conditions create and later stimulate further corruption? Instead of wasting resources to solve the problem, how do we disolve it i.e. what needs to be restructured so that both the cause and its effects will disappear?
10 seconds in, and I'm already blown away by how brief and precise that description of corruption is! "The abuse of entrusted power for private gain." Upvoted already.
This is why we need to celebrate the heroes who fight against corruption.
I LOVE the visual elements that were used in this. It works really well with the theme
Transparency is a key
Corruption affects me because a YouTuber made a video last week about a group of Traffickers that are watching me but apparently they’re being watched. I think our Government needs to be held accountable for Trafficking and find ways to fix the problem so no one has to fall victim to it
Only exposing corruption is how you can weaken it, it takes a group of people to defeated, transparency doesnt work with corruption because there's no honesty in between
Every year we lose billions to corruption, billions that were supposed to improve all of our lives and our communities
Climate is nothing to do with the weather.
This is so true! Corruption continues to be a challenge in many countries, especially in developing ones. For example, in Peru, 17 billion soles have been recently lost by acts of corruption in 2019. This means fewer opportunities for Peruvians to pull out of poverty. Also, this money could have been used to build more hospitals and schools. We can stop corruption if every country regulates its functionaries, so countries' economic growth will maximize chances for a better life for all. Pdt: I love you visual elements, too. 🙌🏻
Thank you for making a video about Corruption.
you don't mention the side affects off how corrupted people spend there lives in fear off being exposed and lash out at random targets destroys in an effort too conceal there sins! and to teach people too be feared, they abuse, torture and permantley main people but as there stupid and cowards the only people they do this too is anyone that shows them any form love (compassion, undertsanding, kindness) these are the people off highest value in society!
People in the comments kidding themselves, telling themselves they hate corruption..... without another thought on its roots and how to fix it. This thread is more of a self-validating spree than a serious academic discussion.
0:02 Broadly speaking, corruption is largely contentious. On a specific basis, however, I could see any rupture of the law (to use a cognate of corruption- rupture) as a form of corruption. Unfortunately a lot of the motives for breaking legal codes can have positive but indirect effects on the perpetrators, allowing any negative flack about their subservience, complicity, or promotion of such crimes to be overlooked.
amazing video thank you
Can these be considered as explanations on how fraud and corruption impact individuals negatively
Corruption can be defined as misuse of public authority for private gain
It costs billions 😢
Leave me alone Nixon. Make your own control circuits.
Exactly. It ends now.
