hello everyone in this video I'm going to be talking about how much I made on my first month of YouTube shorts so YouTube shorts now is allowing monetization on videos and I think it's a really great thing so I'm gonna dive deep into what analytics I can view here regarding shorts and total earnings so my monthly earnings right now are around 218 dollars per 28 days the highest I've ever gotten it to really excited about that but as we go into the shorts monetization here I have made 9.77 for th
e last 27 days I'm pretty happy about that honestly because prior to this I wasn't earning anything off my shorts views just getting subscribers so this little extra bit is kind of nice honestly it's not Mr Beast money it's not big money at all but it is a bit more than what I was earning previously and that's on top of everything else from normal videos so I've gotten 1790 000 views and I have a revenue of about 0.6 of a dollar for every thousand views so six cents per thousand views now I've s
een this number float around many different things it's roughly around two cents to six cents right now so I'm on the upper end of that but it really depends where your traffic is coming from to your shorts so with some of the research that I've done it looks like like if you get a lot of views in Canada US the UK um you're typically going to have a higher RPM for your shorts but if it's getting a lot of views from um not as like developed countries then it starts to go a little bit lower and de
pending on what you're split of uh where your views come from it's going to change depending on that so yeah 179 000 views not even like a lot and I've gone almost ten dollars from it so very happy it's much better in the scent I've earned doing live streams not close to the videos I'm out yet but it will get up there um eventually with time you can't really when you click see more there it doesn't really give you any more details it shows your other videos that I've been earning as well as the
shorts if you have a lot of shorts there but you can go over to the overdue Tab and just check out the shorts that you have that are doing really well so I have one short in particular I'm going to pull up the analytics for it and just kind of talk a bit about it it's the only really one that I have that's doing consistently good but as you can see there is monetization of shorts started to happen there on February sixth fifth sixth that's when I first accepted it was uh February 6th yeah I went
from 59 000 to 80 000 views so around twenty thousand and I got yeah roughly around almost two dollars for that so that's pretty good I'm happy with that um would be nice to see where that was if it was the full amount probably around six or seven dollars eight dollars maybe pretty cool though um obviously your average view duration is the biggest thing when it comes to shorts like if you got people watching it and even watching it again you can continue to get more views I'm getting about two-
thirds of my views from YouTube search and shorts is still pushing it out for some reason I made this video almost a year ago and it's still floating around so yeah I guess yeah June is when I made this video and it didn't like perform at first but then it started to trickle in the views so yeah that is my experience with shorts monetization not a whole lot but I mean hey I was not making this prior to this so I'm I'm happy with that hopefully there'll be more um advertisers hopping over to the
