While there's no wrong way to peel and cut a mango, there are a few preparation methods that make the process easier. Grab yourself a quality knife and a cutting board, then slice your mango off the pit. The pit is located roughly 1/4 of an inch from either side of its stem and runs the length of the fruit. To remove the fruit from its skin, place your mango half skin-side down and slice carefully through the flesh without cutting the skin. Use a spoon to scoop out the cubes. For a faster peelin
g method, take a sturdy glass and line up the curve of the mango with the lip of the glass. Press down so that the edge of the glass slips between the mango's flesh and peel. If you're working with an unripe mango, it's best to peel it using a potato peeler before slicing it away from the pit. If you're looking to enjoy your mango solo, you can try slicing it around the middle. Twist it until the flesh releases from the seed and repeat with the other side.

I use the scoop that came with my rice cooker instead of a spoon, its wider and has the perfect angle.
