Hi this is John. One of the things that will
happen from time to time on a deer hunt, even to the most experienced of hunters is actually
drop your rifle. The last thing you want to do is be out in the deer woods and have a
trophy buck in your sights and find out that the rifle is off zero. What you can do is
take off the caps on the scope and take a few shot, see where the bullet is hitting,
if it’s still on zero put the caps back on, if its not take a penny that I have here
in my hand, adjust
the sights so they’ll be back where they should be. This is going
to eliminate a ruined hunt for you. You take time and effort to be out in the woods to
look for that trophy buck; don’t let a scope that’s off zero mess that hunt up for you.

Do you always hunt deer with a Ruger 10/22?
Thanks for the tip?
its a nice shooting gun,:) but its a ruger, witch means that you should get used to jams :(
That's why you carry a backup gun, or have another hunter with you. So if you or he messes up the other can get it.
expertvillage? OK so what do we zero in on? Em...a tree?
enh its a ok gun more of small game and shit but i got rid of mine and bought a 12 gage
blasting away in the woods to line up your scope? Tell me where he hunts-I'll avoid that place. 22 rifle for deer? probably needs to get within 5 feet.
