to quickly repurpose your long form video content like a YouTube video into short form content using AI this will save
you so much time you're going to love it I'm Phil palen a brand strategist welcome
to my channel where I promise practical advice to build your brand today we're using momento
an AI platform to take your long form content like videos and podcasts and quickly create short
form content from it which are perfect for YouTube shorts Instagram reals
Tik Tok videos and so much

to show you the magic of this once you get your momento account set up you have a few options
we'll click here to add the video so you can either upload the video file or very convenient
you can paste the URL of the video that you want to essentially chop up into shorts into
short form
content reals Instagram Etc so we would enter the URL here this works for YouTube or twitch which
is Handy but I'll note here that you get the maximum quality of 720p so if you have access
to a higher quality video for example 1080P or maybe even 4K you'll want to choose this option
upload the video final thing to mention this is really cool you can actually import content from
previous channels that you've imported from if you've done this way in the past so they make this
rea
lly super convenient and easy for this example I'm going to upload a file and we'll give that a
second to upload once your upload is complete we can go ahead and click this create shorts and
it will do exactly that in just a few minutes not only does momento transcribe everything in a
text but it also uses AI to detect the most viral sections of your content this is so cool check
this out so first we've got 23 shorts that it was able to identify and extract from this video
I can make some a
djustments to how it looks and I'll show you that in a moment but 23 already
ready to go identified moments that would make perfect shorts from the clip provided list it
out I can see the time code I can see how long it lasts and best of all I can actually read
the transcript so that's shorts if I want to click over here to segments these are a little bit
longer so it's actually extracting many segments from this roughly one-hour video let's say for
example you're looking to grab just a lit
tle part of that video that maybe you want to share
with someone else in my case it might be a buyer or a meeting organizer so I love that I've got
segments and shorts literally list and organized for me thanks to AI keep in mind the end result
is really only as good as a Content that you feed into it but I love this platform cuz it allows me
to focus on creating one awesome piece of content and it does more with your content look at this
hopping over to momento I've selected the clip that
I want to choose and that is based on this
awesome title that it's actually created using AI as well as a description I mean this was actually
a few years ago and it's been on my to-do list to chop this up into shorts but it just feels like a
big projects I have to sit and watch it and edit it and it's just not going to happen but now I
can read a description of what I talked about now I can even continue to open this in the editor
and make adjustments based on the transcription here I coul
d adjust this title if I wanted either
the appearance or if I don't want to title at all I can remove it I can read through the transcript
and actually make live edits so for example here I say because in 2019 which is old I'll select that
and click delete and guess what now that section is gone if I want I can adjust the framing
so let's say for example I want this to be landscape or Square I can also choose different
templates if I want there are over 50 and even if I want some help on th
ese edits I love these
magic edits the ability to select Magic Frame and it's going to autof frame and what this will
do it'll automatically adjust the focus and the frame here of the shorts so that I don't have to
do this manually I'm toggling between the screen and obviously me describing something on stage
and it just works really really well to keep it exciting and fresh in the vertical format even
though it was originally shot as a horizontal video that's what I mean I get to focus now
on
creating one solid piece of content which is that first YouTube video a really good presentation
now this tool means that I don't even have to think about how is this going to show up as a
short or an Instagram reel it literally does the work for me so that's Magic Frame magic
cut will actually remove filler words as well as silences so we can activate that and click
and just like that all the silences have been deleted so when we click play this just means
for a faster well paced vide
o that works great in vertical format a few other features here for
the magic edits I love this one magic emojis so it will intelligently add emojis we can choose
above captions or Center let's activate this for fun and there we go we can actually see the
Emoji in place that just keeps it a little more visually interesting one more let's have a look
at Magic media so it'll add media to your video I can't tell you how long it takes to do this
manually gifts images or videos let's go with ima
ges for this and let's have it pop it right
in the middle again let's preview how this looks there's an image relevant to what I'm talking
about and I think you get the idea obviously you can click and play around with some of these if I
want to adjust it or I can edit it I certainly can replace that Media or even provide a specific
link to something even just adding it in makes this so much easier and less timec consuming right
there that is saving me hundreds of dollars every single week
countless hours on editing alone and
it's incredibly timec consuming finding the right clip adding Stu images captions emojis momento
has it taken care of so let's check out the final clip here's how it looks in momento and obviously
there are features that I haven't even had time to talk about caption title caption animations
even background branding outro love it all the ability to post this directly to social media I
think you get the idea you're going to learn the most by hopping in her
e yourself but let's take
a final look at the clip I think it's cute when people think that they don't have a brand even
if you're not that active on social media you're all juggling two versions of ourselves there
