What’s up guys, in this tutorial, I will show  you how to set up any controller on Steam. This should be quite an easy tutorial,  for more information, click on the first link in the description below. Open up your Steam client and select Steam on the top left of your window  to access your Steam settings. In the Controller tab, select  General Controller Settings. This will launch Steam in big picture mode,  and show you the Controller Settings. Make sure to check the checkbox  that applies for
your controller. For a PlayStation controller, enable the  PlayStation Configuration Support option. When this is done, you can exit big picture  mode and navigate to your Steam library. Right-click the game where you wish to use  your controller and select Properties. On this window, navigate to  the Controller section. Here you can override your default input for  the game in this drop-down menu. In most cases, you should be able to change your specific  button layout in your in-game settings
. You can also see the current Steam Input status, meaning which controllers are enabled  and compatible with the Steam game. In case you have any further issues  or problems following this tutorial, then I suggest following my extensive  guide linked in the description below. I hope this helped you out, leave a comment if you  have any questions and see you in the next one.

YOU ARE THE BEST! I want to play Code Vein but was so frustrated since i'd alr set the in-game control to match my Switch controller but it didn't work, it still just like the Xbox. Thank god i found ur straightforward video (with subtitles too yasss 😆) and realized i had to open steam and click on the game setting, change its button layout to match with my Switch too. Thank you so so so so much i hope u'll get more subscribers 'cause u deserved it 🎉🥰

Thanks! This actually worked when I tried setting up my Xbox controller! Granted, I did have to leave Family View to get to the settings, but otherwise worked perfectly!

@formershadow

My steam settings do not look like this on my pc and it’s very frustrating that everyone else’s has these options and mine doesn’t

@rnobgyn

Any idea on how to get a controller working on mac? Steam recognizes my controller (works in big picture) but BO3 doesn’t recognize it once I’m in game. I’ve tried enabling, disabling steam input and even changed to a community layout but nothing works

@Gamingboii1i

I just plugged in my dualsense in the computer. It worked instantly, I do recommend this tutorial tho

@YourPersonalArt

This is really well done, but the interface is different now, and I can't get my controller to work after two days of playing around. are you up for an update?

@Zinsenking

THANK YOU SO MUCH SAVIOR

@Gaffa29292

when i go to controller settiings in steam there is no general settings, maybe steam had an update since the video and this is now somewhere different? Thanks

@megapet777

I got my generic controller working by mapping the buttons in steam settings, so now elden ring recognizes all the buttons as it earlier would only recognize the left stick. But now I have new problem. The left and right stick don't move the character nor the camera. They have random actions like jump, switching items, drinking estus etc. Why are my controls messed up and how can I fix it?

@lukemarsh1527

Thanks for this video it really helped
