Alberta uh well I've been living in Montana you know for about a month so weather-wise I love it
yeah but I love it up here cuz of weather yeah you're wearing a hoodie you are wearing a hoodie
well we did the cold tub earlier my body is still not did you br
ing that with you or they just had
that here this year we have our own Bailey brings his so they had their his setup so we both did it
together you guys don't let go in together and no not at the same time oh no not at the same time
that would be weird would it be competitive is that why you at the same time you did two minutes
I'm doing three have you been up here in during winter yet no hell no you don't need a cold tub
well Montana go outside yeah Montana get snow Yeah so this year I'll
be in Montana I'll be in Montana
All the Way basically until January how long have you live there for uh I just started month ago
really what's better your your your bowl or your cow call cow that's that's easy bring it in the
B um and honestly we're not bugling much anymore no really uh my bugle probably sucks it' actually
probably scare him away but we don't this there's so many people yling at him it's like they're so
worked up get in them get where you are throw a couple cow calls and s
ee if they come met how
many guys are you going out on an Elk hunt with just four five it's usually me and my brother we
got buddy Stan this year they're going out with uh with them I'm going with another guy named Wayne
it's just different groups now this year but um I don't I don't like to have more than three guys in
a group just cuz it's too noisy there noisy there smell stink there's just more that can go wrong
yeah we should probably talk about country music for two seconds man hun an
d golf actually well we
you know what hit me hit me you I was just going to say like it's it's been the weirdest summer
of my life because I'm living in my Airstream I'm traveling I'm usually go back to Nashville 3
or 4 days in Nashville right whatever hit the road it's all music yeah this year has been L out west
which is just south of us right now um I've been to more concerts than I think I've played just
cause I don't I'm out there I'm like hey munk's in town right uh ern's in town what
ever Parker
I I saw them Zack Bryan played the day after I did shy in so I went I'm going to all these
concerts getting to see him as a fan thre was Co yeah but it's just been an awesome summer
cuz I feel like when I come to the shows I'm like man I got to go do a show to interrupt my
fun like I've just been having so much fun this summer don't even feel like I'm a real musician
but what made you want to do that get into your Airstream and just were you were you looking to
unplug a little
bit yeah I just I I want to move out west I don't know where I permanently want to
be I I want to be in Montana but Yellowstone the show is kind of taking it away yeah it's kind of
nuts right now but what kind of Air Stream is it older well C it's a 16 2016 okay I just found
one I liked and and I'm living in that and the cool part is I'm getting decompressed and what I
found is when I go do that and then I go Focus 3 or 4 days on riding in Retreat I write way better
songs and then like Sept
ember 4th through the 7th or 8th me and oser to go in and do the deluxe
version of I cworth which is the record we just put out this year um we just found out we're in
the final part of trying to get a CMA award for album of the year so that's so cool I've never
been in talks for that so that's that's a huge honor for me um but taking the time off I found
is making the music better I did hear that you you came up with this album and you wanted to write
songs that your dad would really reall
y of uh and has have you succeeded with that yeah yeah he'd
be proud of this record I he would know and he would understand when I'm 25 years old just losing
him a few years before that moving to Nashville getting in that party scene having huge success
early with Cruz and the ready said roll was like he would know that that was me trying to figure
it out right that wasn't me Cruz was cool but I should have gotten the hell away from and kept
writing songs on guitar and I did I kept writing
songs on tracks and had a lot of success with a
lot of these songs and now guys are coming in be like man I used to listen to you in middle school
come on man don't tell me thatb smoke and but now I've kind of figured out what I'm great at which
is me and a guitar and then we get it with Oscar and it's real production there's no click there's
no tracks there's no nothing we just keep it raw I was talking with Jamie Johnson I never met never
really met him oh in color is one of my favorite c
ountry for something it's one of the best ever
but Jamie's one of the best ever in my opinion but I was talking to him in a golf thing that I
dude if you gone in and done a record without a without a click track he kind of looks up takes a
whatever smokes a cigar whatever he was doing got to think of it I've never recorded a song with
elect track like damn I've been doing it wrong yeah my dad would be proud of this one we got a
song called You 85 which you talking about the Coors Banquets h
e's double fested he's got a giant
mustache we'll throw it up on there for everybody to see but yeah the mustache is unreal I got a
little one going I got the Scruff cuz without the Scruff I kind of look stupid I know that
feel yeah but you 885 is about like me right now and you and 85 if we could be the same age
then or now together it'd be really fun to have beer together so we never got to do that but
that's what that song's about it good song I'm glad that you found your way I'm glad th
at you're
putting those stuff that you're super duper proud of and we're just bump to see you on the main
