Regular verbs form the simple past and past  participle with 'ed', however irregular verbs form the simple past and past participle differently.  We can categorize irregular verbs into three main types: verbs where all three forms are the  same, for example: 'put, put, put'; 'let, let, let'. Verbs were only the past simple and past  participle are the same, for example: 'feel, felt, felt'; 'mean, meant, meant'. Verbs where each form  is different, for example: 'know, knew, known'; 'begin, began,
