hello and welcome to ishigaki Japan one of the southernmost Japanese Islands located 1200 M south of Tokyo and only 150 mi from Taipei making it a popular destination for tourists from Taiwan and Japan they're coming here for white sand beaches Coral wreath incredible snuggling and Diving we're visiting during the offseason the last day of March we just got off the ship and we're in ishy gaki Japan they had quite a process for us to go through for immigration not a big deal but we did it and we
also purchased the round trip shuttle bus to town we're going to get on the shuttle bus and walk around when we get there since it's the off seon and the tail end of winter a Sunday and there's rain in the forecast unfortunately snorkeling and visiting white sandy beaches is off the books so we're going to explore the town just got off the shuttle and now we're walking to town you we recommend taking a shuttle not walking it's kind of a ways and there's not a lot to see on the way they have any

w the wheels are about the size of a go-kart wheel okay we got a little bit bored on the Main Street so we're going to explore on some of the side streets a lot of times they're more interesting where people live and some of the little places on the side streets like here's a person that does hair and it kind of reminds me of my hometown in asor on a Sunday plus it's spring I don't think there's a lot of tourist here yet and it's supposed to rain so we're going to do a little exploring and see w
hat we can find maybe even get lost so I like to see what kind of houses they live in and stuff got at the car right here what want the car well for one thing you have to drive on the other side that's okay no problem and where are we going to go we have a m look at this old building it's a bar COC Coco Coco son and look at that little door you got to get in COC you bow you B I like it maybe it's a barber no no this a bar It's Tha massage everything's closed I'm sure it would be totally differen
t if it was in a Sunday yeah maybe in the evening they people rest they don't have the signs on their doors that's kind of crazy they have take out you can order by the picture I like pictures on menus it helps foreign country you can't read it yeah like right now the only ones that are in the city right now in the town are people off the cruise ship walking around actually there are no tourists at all it's the off season a Sunday the total population is only 50,000 on the island without the cru

of the towns are like this I I think just like United States people imagine New York you know I think the whole United States is likeor New York soups I no I don't either English menu I got to see what they're what they think is English you know what I mean what the what their what their idea of English is yeah it's an English menu and there's cruise ship people oh there's chips Tomatoes they have it in English so you can figure it out por pork bow how was that chicken over rice yeah this looks
more authentic we probably okay well if we can find a shop like this this is what we want they're little restaurants this is AOS yeah they're all closed we we saw some noodle places on the way yeah in coffee drinks I got a fishing pole 7:30 Court Mall meat bar but butcher Treo are you from around here hi you sound local yes it's kind of embarrassing what happened well I went into the ladies room and used the bathroom and the toilet had all these fancy buttons on it on Japanese on the back of the
toilet I closed the lid and then then on the wall I saw a whole bunch of other controls and I I pushed up several and I couldn't it didn't flush so I another lady went in and I told her and so she hopefully she'll figure hopefully she'll figure it out she's have to use your Google Google Translate from your phone to figure out how to flush the toilet we walked around town and we had some difficulty finding a place to have a cold beer it's kind of early it's a Sunday so we decided to stop here i
t's a nice little Grill and they have a tasting you get to taste three different kinds of their beer with a sausage set I have the light beers I'm going to try and these are all from ishigaki and s's going to try the dark beers and it's like a tasting sample so why not this is our first Japanese beer and first Japanese meal I'll have to we were looking for noodles but this looked more familiar actually that looks more German than Japanese yeah actually looks more German than Japanese but we'll t
ry the beer it's local really light it's good does the pills that this one oh has this is a way to go too it's a little bit heavier that's going to be like to it they have just a little bit different taste but but they're very light they're nice perfect for lunch and Soo those are breakfast beers breakfast beers this is okay Amber ale Amber ale oh now The Dark One it say coffee P I hope does not taste like coffee it probably does tastes like coffee looks like coffee it taste like coffee yeah a l
ittle bit okay all right a little cheers well it came down to it like we both ended up with the pilsener and I like the pilsener the best and zaro said he liked it but he likes a pillow too ship one hour drinking beer and one hour walking around town it's not really a port that I would recommend uh well we try to stay positive they're little boxes remember in the states for a while they had like a box type car like that but not that small yeah both of us no you can't get they can't like a clown
