Israel-Hamas war: Gaza massacre claims refuted, US probes incident | LiveNOW from FOX

The Israeli military released aerial video showing an incident Thursday in Gaza City, where the Hamas-run Health Ministry reports more than 100 people were killed. The Health Ministry said Israeli troops opened fire on a crowd of Palestinians waiting for aid. Israel said the video shows there was a stampede, as Palestinians in desperate need of aid rushed to the trucks that were carrying food. As some residents moved toward Israeli troops, Israel said the troops fired warning shots and struck some residents in their legs. I do want to get to the latest developments internationally here out of the Middle East as the Israel Defense Forces has released that a aerial footage that we did show you just yesterday take a look here at this video on your screen this is of an incident in Gaza City Thursday where the Hamas run Health Ministry does report that more than a hundred people were killed the health Ministry saying Israeli troops open fire on a crowd of Palestinians who were waiting for aid but Israel says the video
shows there was a stampede as Palestinians rushed to the trucks that arrived carrying much needed food as some residents moveed toward Israeli troops Israel says the troops were ordered to fire warning shots and strike some of the residents in their legs Israel reports a majority of the deaths and injuries during that incident were caused by the Stampede with some people being run over by the trucks I want to talk about this and all the latest developments here so let's bring in Abraham LaVine
and intelligence Analyst at the alma Research Center in Northern Israel good morning thank you so much for taking the time to be here with us today all right so first off I do want to talk about this incident this is making headlines internationally also several countries talking about it and saying they want some kind of Investigation here so my question for you there's been a lot of discussion about a possible hostage release ceasefire deal what sort of impact could all this have on that deal
well first of all uh following the developments and the reports coming in from Gaza it sort of reminded me of the 500 uh Palestinians that were killed in the hospital from Israeli IDF rocket which turned out to be 50 people killed by a Hamas rocket uh so I truly I'm not testifying to any uh of the numbers uh that are currently reported and we'll see the final report at the end uh what what I can say is that the only country in the world expected to take care of the enemy civilians is Israel what
I can say is that if Hamas took responsibility or even cared about their own humanitarian situation and the health and the food situation in Gaza they wouldn't have attacked October 7th uh what truthfully probably happened is humanitarian Aid was sent to Gaza Gaza people Palestinians from Gaza were driving the trucks and were probably told not to let civilians touch anything because K want wants to distribute it as it wants as it decides meaning to their people to their leaders to their command
ers or else the truck drivers would have left the trucks and open them up what they did is panicked being intimidated by Kamas and a St imped of civilians they panicked and drove through plowed through their own people a terrible story uh I guess there was a side incident of IDF of some of the Stampede getting people getting too close to Israeli soldiers and as uh as Rules of Engagement call we're shot first towards the air a warning shot and then towards the legs so we don't kill people or anyo
ne getting too close to uh Israeli soldiers uh I do not think this will affect a deal uh or a ceasefire in the long run I think what Israel is doing right now is the right thing and that's why we're following the only video you're watching is an IDF video which we put out there for the world to see here's what happened take a look you don't have to listen to everything you hear from in uh inside Gaza and it's interesting you bring that up because that's been an argument that a lot lot of people
have said that you know initially those reports were coming out about the situation at the hospital and then you later find out after it's looked into a little bit further that it's not exactly as it was explained so it is important that you bring that up there now what does it say that the US is looking into the Gaza incident could this spell any trouble I guess for the US Israel relationship we heard from President Biden and he said you know initially he wants it to be looked into a little bit
further well uh I realized that at first uh when you look at it and you hear about this the first time your first reaction here in Israel might be how dare they uh why would they investigate us it shows distrust and maybe disrespect but truthfully I don't think we have anything to hide and United States is doing us a service by investigating this and bringing a more objective truth out to the world and if we have anything to change and to improve in the humanitarian Aid that we are sending into
Gaza as we're still at War then we'll obviously improve and you touched on this already but why was it so important for the IDF to release that video that we are looking at right there on your screen well fake news in abundance if this wasn't the video they would say over 100 people were shot here you see the people are not being shot you see the Stampede you see the trucks being blocked by their own people it's way more clear I don't I I don't claim that I understand the situation completely I
'm just saying this shows the mess that was caused by the uncontrol and the crowd that is completely looking for their government to give them food and Kamas failed in taking care of their own people and failing again and again as they get humanitarian Aid into Gaza we know that over the the past uh week or so we heard Brazil's president initially compare the situation in Gaza to the Holocaust and now you have Colombia's president saying the same exact thing here what do you make of the extremel
y strong rhetoric that we are hearing well anti-Semitism is 2,000 years old and the new form of anti-Semitism from the past few decades is belittling and denying the Holocaust uh I don't think I have uh anything to say further than that uh apart from I'd like to invite both presidents to Yash in Jerusalem and then might we might even take them to orara and see the atrocities from October 7th I do not speak Portuguese or Spanish but I don't think the sites they'll see in y and need translating th
ere's been a lot of discussion here over the last couple weeks about this Rafa offensive with everything that is going on the discussion there over a possible hostage release and ceasefire deal do you still think that Rafa offensive overall is imminent is that going to happen soon I think the Rafa offensive is the only leverage we have on Kamas and therefore as long as we don't reach a ceasefire uh the it's still a go uh at least uh that's what IDF is saying I think IDF is still waiting to see i
f there's a chance to reach a ceasefire and agreement without going into Rafa because we don't have any other interest apart from bringing back 134 hostages and allowing 140,000 people from around Gaza to go back to their homes uh after four and a half months my last question for you here I want to talk about what's going on on the northern border there Arab media reporting that Iran has given Hezbollah the quote unquote green light to escalate attacks on Israel's northern border what would an e
scalation look like are we essentially talking about an allout war between the two well I think there's a lot of nitpicking of uh usage of another weapon a different kind of missile the Almas instead of the Cornet the Cornet the long range uh and I don't think that's a major escalation I think a major escalation is pretty clear and we'll know when it happens hisbah has the ability to shoot Kaa and Taria and probably they'll go for Tel Aviv or beneran airport as well as Nala said plenty of times
in public so if they have a go and from Iran we will know and feel it immediately and yes that will probably lead to a ground operation in South Lebanon all right Abraham line thank you so much as always for taking the time to join us and help break down some of the latest headlines involving the war here is there anything else you want to add Before I Let You Go just want to say even without the escalation we're still in the midst of a war even in the north between 150 and 250 attacks barges of
missiles rockets and mortars all along the northern front and I think uh I think I'd like to leave a note for the world uh we're being attacked by a sovereign country on our Northern front and anywhere else in the world world that would be a a reason a cause to go to war and if Lebanon does not take control of the terrorist organization in their southern border they should be aware that might bring them to war all right Abraham thank you again for taking the time to be here with us we appreciat
e it thank you very much all right

Media should be fair and just in reporting. Be neutral and NOT BiAS.

@ROG009

Why aren’t you covering Aaron Bushnell? He was an American Air Force soldier who set himself ablaze in protest of the genocide in Gaza. Why aren’t you covering him? 🇺🇸

@rommelnolasco207

How could a complicit to a crime investigate the same crime and be impartial? Sheer insanity.

@klaxyn

Genocide is never acceptable

Start investigating Oct 7th

@DevilbyMoonlight

Israeli troops shouldn't be involved with the aid, why doesn't the UN pull its thumb out of its arse and do its job! UN troops should have been handling the distribution of aid, its a combat zone that the Israelis are involved in, so you cant expect them to switch that off and expose themselves to a threat - this was bound to happen. - sheer madness

@DJBIGCG

This war would not be happening if Trump was in charge. That is why I will vote for him in 2024.

@user-oe4iu4xs2k

Why are my U.S. tax dollars being used to fund these atrocities? This is horrendous…and I hope I’m not the only one here calling my congressmen and women to voice my concern.

@hope.for.palestine.7124

On October 7, Israel employed the Hannibal Directive, meaning that the IDF was instructed to kill even Israelis rather than have Hamas take any hostages. There is a YouTube video of the IDF admitting they bombed the Be'eri kibbutz.

Whatever the circumstances turn out to be, a responsible US administration should have distanced itself from all of this, US Congress, US media and election year be damned. Let Trump call it as he surely will and let's just see just how public opinion lines up on it. Insofar as US interests goes this is more detrimental than just dead weight..

Thank you for the insightful comments by Avraham Levine It's really helpful towards cutting through the spinning-web of deceit put out by Hamas and their co-belligerents.

@AdamosDad

I am praying and grieving for all the families that have lost loved ones or have hostages held by Hamas and for the IDF. This is the same comment I will make in each video until this is over.: I am always praying for you Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem: Psalm 122:6 “May they prosper who love you. 7May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.” 🇮🇱 There will be peace when the Prince of Peace comes. Isaiah 9:6-7 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

@marcelinomamaed9770

The fight for the moment against Hamas is to eliminate its present leadership i.e. Sinwar. Should somebody come up to replace him is another story. After this that the present Hamas leadership is eliminated, there shall be a project of demilatirization and de-orientation of the Palestinian ideology and hate against the Jews. The cry: "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" must be erased from the minds of Palestine youth and it's a long term process to do that. A re-education must be In place.
