In today's video, I'll show you what I did when I was little. From the beginning of my life, I wanted to deal with roads. When I was a few years old, I started to invent differe
nt cities that I connected by roads. In 1988, when I was 10, I bought a road map of Poland. What you see is my proposal to run motorways in Poland. Apart from my family, I had never shown this map to anyone before. So you can say that after 34 years, the map saw the light of day. You have to start with the fact that when drawing new roads on the map, I was guided only by my imagination. Everything that you can see I came up with and drew it myself. You have to remember that there was no Internet
back then. I had no information as to which roads are planned or planned. I also didn't know if, for example, in a month's time a construction project was starting somewhere. Now I know that practically nothing was built then. I will cover quickly the main highways that I have drawn. We start from the A1 Motorway. It starts on my map just like it does now in the vicinity of Gdańsk. In the northern part of the country, the A1 is very similar to the current situation. The change is in the vicinit
y of Kutno, where I ran my A1 Motorway on the west, not the east, side of the city. Later it is again similar to the current A1 up to Częstochowa. From Częstochowa, my A1 runs on the eastern side from DK91. In the vicinity of Dąbrowa Górnicza, I designed a bifurcation towards Upper Silesia and towards Kraków. Later, the A1 runs near Będzin, Sosnowiec, Katowice, Tychy and joins the Czech road network in Cieszyn. We move to the A2 motorway. Now it's hard for me to say why, but I took the A2 south
of Świebodzin. Then it follows a similar trail as it does today. In the vicinity of Kostrzyn, I included A2 in the current DK92. Later, from Września, it follows the trail of the existing A2. The big change is in the area of Koło. I decided to design the A2 along DK92. I completely skipped Łódź. Now I would not do that, because I think driving the A2 closer to Łódź is of course a great idea. My A2 arrives in Warsaw near Bemowo. Here, the A2 joins the Warsaw bypass, which I called the A100 in m
y head. I designed the Warsaw ring road at a considerable distance from the city, completely different than it is today. On the other side of the Vistula, the A2 passes below DK92. Only in the vicinity of Siedlce does it follow the existing trail, that is, as it is currently under construction. The next road is the A3 motorway which I started from Wolin. I believed that on the section from Świnoujście to Wolin it should follow the same route as DK3. From Wolin, the A3 follows a completely differ
ent route up to the junction on the north-eastern side of Szczecin. Here, I designed a large junction where the A3 connected to the A6 and A10. The A3 then follows a slightly different trail from the current S3, but generally passes the same cities. However, in my plans, A3 only reached Jawor with a new trail. Later, in the footsteps of DK3, it followed Jelenia Góra to Szklarska Poręba-Jakuszyce. A4 motorway - there is nothing to discuss here. Apart from minor changes, it runs alongside the same
cities as the current A4. I planned to finish it only in Medyka, not in Korczowa. Highway A5 - I also planned it similar to the current S5. It begins near Warlubie and via Bydgoszcz, Gniezno, Poznań and Leszno it reaches Wrocław. Here, however, for some reason I designed it away to the west of the capital of Lower Silesia. I have no idea why I did it so weird. Next, my A5 followed the common trail with the A4 for a while and then I led it to Kłodzko along the S8 road which today has an environm
ental decision. Autostrada A6 - Here, as today, I planned to connect Szczecin with the Tri-City. However, I missed Kołobrzeg in my childhood planning. Now I would not design it like that and I believe that the current route in the vicinity of Kołobrzeg is right. I designed an interesting road in the vicinity of Wejherowo, where I made a connector towards Władysławowo. I suspected when I was young that Władysławowo and its surroundings would be a Mecca for Polish sunbathing. The Tri-City has a by
pass on my map similar to the Metropolitan Bypass that is currently under construction. This way we got to the A7 motorway which is an extension of the A6 motorway. Most of the time, I planned the A7 similar to the current S7. In the vicinity of Warsaw A7, I led the current DK7 from Warsaw to Grójec. In my virtual plans, A7 reaches the very border with Slovakia in Chyżne. I am now going to discuss ways that are unlikely to arise and that appeared in my childhood planning. I designed the A9 motor
way from Radom through Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and Tarnobrzeg to Rzeszów. It is already known that this road will never be built. Some people think it's good, others think it's wrong. I also designed the A46 road from Częstochowa to Kielce. Sometimes there is talk of the Old Polish road, but I consider the chance of its implementation to be negligible at the moment. Then I connected Kielce via the A74 directly with Lublin. In the vicinity of Kielce, I designed the A73 motorway from Kielce to Tar
nów and then through Jasło to Krosno. After more than 30 years, it's hard for me to say what I meant then. For some reason, I thought that a road in this place should be built. I also drew the A25 motorway from Bydgoszcz through Inowrocław, Konin, Kalisz, Ostrów Wielkopolski to Oleśnica. This is where the large Wrocław bypass began. Now we know that there will be no motorway or expressway here. However, there will be a dual carriageway road from Konin via Kalisz to Ostrów Wielkopolski. Now, two
words about the ring roads. In 1988, in my childhood planning, I designed 4 large ring roads for large cities. They were Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Poznań. What can you say more than 30 years after my planning? No large Polish city has a ring road around it yet. He will not be in Warsaw for at least 10 years yet. It will be in Krakow, but there is a mystery about the Krakow Mistrzejowice junction, which I mentioned in the dedicated film. Wrocław is building a south-eastern bypass, but it is in
the cross section of one road with two lanes. So it is safe to say that it is not a bypass. There is 70% of the ring road in Poznań along S11, A2 and S5. However, the chances of building the missing 30% at the moment are also none. Finally, I will show Eastern Poland. I designed the A61 Motorway from Warsaw, but in the footsteps of the current DK61, i.e. through Ostrołęka and Łomża. The A61 motorway connects with the A19 which runs from Białystok. In the vicinity of Augustów I made a fork to the
A19 and A61. The vicinity of Białystok is the A8 and A19. The entire A19 motorway follows a similar trail as the currently under construction or already built S19. However, I decided to avoid Lublin on the right, not on the left. I ended the A17 highway between Krasnystaw and Zamość, because I thought that there was too little traffic to build a super road. Za to że mnie oglądacie, komentujecie i wspieracie, ogromne DZIĘKUJĘ. W filmie przedstawiam mapę drogową Polski. Mając 10 lat rysowałem na niej moje wirtualne autostrady.
Jakim cudem byłeś w stanie w 1988r zaprojektować bardzo sensownie S52 z Bielska Białej do Krakowa a te jełopy z Ministerstwa Infrastruktury/ GDDiK dalej zastanawiają się czy drogę puścić na północ czy na południe od Wadowic?
Szanuję w opór. Jestem pod bardzo pozytywnym wrażeniem. Pozdrawiam;
Ciężko uwierzyć, że ktoś za małolata robił takie rzeczy jak ja. Myślałem, że to jest dziwne, że dziecko zamiast oglądać bajki i układać klocki lego rysuje autostrady na mapach. Ja rysowałem warianty autostrad już w paincie, bo za małolata miałem już komputer. Ale na kartkach za to rysowałem węzły drogowe, skrzyżowania itp. Nawet z rozmieszczeniem latarni. Mimo, że nie miałem wtedy pojęcia o przepisach ruchu drogowego. Szczególnie lubiłem rysować skomplikowane ronda. Dzięki takim zainteresowaniom zdałem potem prawo jazdy bez większego przykładania się do tego :) Teraz studiuję budownictwo i mam nadzieję, że będę w przyszłości takim fachowcem jak pan Radosław.
Ja mam 11 lat i też interesuję się drogami w Polsce i w Europie najbardziej interesują mnie drogi: S19,S74 i S9 ponieważ mieszkam niedaleko nich. Bardzo dobrze zaprojektowałeś te drogi twój kanał też jest super i każdy odcinek oglądam. Serdecznie pozdrawiam wszystkich co czytają mój komentarz.
Siemiatycze wytłuszczone 😁 Jestem pod wrażeniem jak dobrze przewidziałeś przebieg A1, A2 i A4, nie mając takiego dostępu do wiedzy jak teraz, szacun!
Widzę że Radku miałeś te same zainteresowania co ja :) Aktualnie jako znużony uczeń technikum dalej robię jakieś mapy na lekcjach :D

To było niesamowite! :) A od siebie dodam, że właśnie w tym wieku 7-12 lat, jak dziecko ma pasję i ją realizuje, to duża szansa, że w przyszłości będzie to robić i będzie dobre w tym. Ja tak z programowaniem zaczynałem właśnie.
Ja jak miałem 10 lat napierdzielałem kijkiem w pokrzywy 😯

Ciekawe, że w takim wieku wiedziałeś o dzisiejszym natężeniu ruchu. To się w dużej mierze pokrywa z dzisiejszymi wynikami GPR. Chyba tylko najbardziej pomyliłeś się z aglomeracją Śląską, bo dzisiaj są tam najlepsze drogi.
Bardzo fajny odcinek. Ja jako dziecko też rysowałem autostrady na kartkach w zeszycie. Ale potem poszedłem inna drogą. Budową dróg ponownie zainteresowałem sie w 2011 roku tuż przed ME 2012 w Polsce i Ukrainie. Teraz jestem znawcą dróg w mojej rodzinie i często doradzam jak, gdzie i jak najszybciej i najlepiej dojechać, ale często moja rodzina pyta mnie kiedy jakaś droga bedzie otwarta.
Najlepsze jest to, że 15 lat temu jak zacząłem się interesować budowa dróg to w jednym atlasie też tak pomalowałem drogi, ale nie wiem gdzie ten atlas jest i czy nie został już spalony...
Jak miałem 10 lat też robiłem takie rzeczy tylko ja nie zaznaczyłem dróg na mapie, ale na własnej narysowanej Polsce. W tym wieku właśnie zaczeła się moja przygoda związana z malowaniem map. Przez lata widzę jak się zmieniają moje mapy pod względem dokładności, stylu malowania i staram się ciągle co mapę robić dokładniejszą i dodawać szczegółów, których jeszcze nigdy nie dodawałem. Dobrym przykładem no to jest teraz malowana przez ze mnie Polska gdzie będą zaznaczone np. Ciekawostki drogowe od Pana i moje, nazwy węzłów drogowych czy często zakorkowane odcinki dróg. Jeżeli Pan chce to mogę wysłać do Pana moją siatkę dróg którą narysowałem mając 10 lat razem z moją najstarszą mapą jak i najnowszą.

Jako dziesięciolatek przewidziałeś przebieg sporego procenta dzisiejszych autostrad. Gratuluję. :D Witam w klubie twórców map. :DDDD Wypełniłem mnóstwo kartek A4 sieciami drogowymi wirtualnych państw i kontynentów. Planami wirtualnych miast (wszystkie ulice skrupulatnie nazwane, POI zaznaczone :). Zacząłem nawet tworzyć Samochodowy Atlas II Rzeczypospolitej z 1960 r. (co by było gdybyśmy nie mieli II wojny). Oczywiście, z istniejącą już siatką "szos samochodowych" planowanych w 1938 roku wg Nestorowicza, z podziałem na 2- i 1-pasowe. Plus 1-pasowa trasa spinająca województwa na kresach w osi północ-południe. Bazą były kserokopie atlasu z PRL. Przerosło mnie zdobycie map byłych kresów, czyli zachodniej części ZSRR. :)

At first, I was watching without translation, not understanding much. I thought it is professionally made map from 1990s. Now I watched video again with translation, and I got astonished that is you when you who decided motorway lines when you were 10 years old :) It looks kinda better than current motorway plan, since it don't follow old DK roads that much, and more resembles German Autobahn plan. I also liked to draw similar maps for Lithuania. I think I don't have this map with me anymore, but I remember I once draw map of motorway network which connects 10 county centres of Lithuania. I was like early teen if I remember correctly 5 largest cities were connected via autostrada (the same name I used for Lithuanian), while other 5 county centres were connected by Lithuanian equivalent of droga ekspresowa (greitkelis) which has car symbol. I used Lithuanian colors for motorways. Green for autostrada, and blue for greitkelis. Autostrados has A prefix, while greitkeliai has G prefix. Unlike your map, there weren't two connections from Lithuania to Poland. I drawn G road, connecting Vilnius, Alytus, Marijampolė, and since Poles connects only with S road to Lithuania, I marked G road from Marijampolė to Poland too. Poles didn't planned expressways to Lazdijai/Vilnius direction, so I didn't drew here anything too. I was already knowing your country plan back then, since it was 2000s. Now I think having motorway network connecting 30k-50k towns can be impractical. Poland expressway and motorway network connects 100k+ cities, and neighboring countries. Poland was really devoid of motorways back then. Now is almost okay, few sections needed here and there, but way better situation.
