This album is I feel one of the most under-rated albums of all time. It has hit after hit and no fillers. Now so many years have gone by the social problems the album touches upon are still present and possibly worse. Sad that Janet became the fall girl after the Super Bowel performance. Timberlake was untouched which spooks me. This girl deserves a total second chance at the top pin. No one today could pull off a album like Rhythm Nation. Sadly I rarely ever hear the songs off this album on the radio. If your a young thing it's a must have album to key into.
I love how her brother was the most famous man on the world and was never called “Michael Jackson’s sister”.
This level of dance simply isn't done anymore in the music industry this day in age. I'm blown away

As a dancer, I have always been fascinated by this choreography. It’s sooo intricate and love the musicality. . this is why I will always love and appreciate Janet Jackson creativity and talent.
Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814, released on September 19, 1989 is a masterpiece, so much that every artist afterwards who tried to duplicate the choreography, vocals and music style never came close to topping it. No album released today comes close. Janet Jackson was and still is in Control.
Michael is the GOAT but Janet did her own thing completely out of his shadow w/o him and became a legend with her own style and swag. He’s the King and she’s the Queen in my opinion.
