ck of the rain uh clearly I am done all right you go back to practicing Talent okay we'll come back and and see how's it going over there in your morning headlines today the TBI is now identified a woman killed more than 30 years ago who may have been a victim of the redhead killer on April 14th 1985 a young woman's body was found along I 81 in Green County investigators now say the victim was 17-year-old Elizabeth Lamont the teen disappeared from Manchester New Hampshire in November 1984 she wa
s placed at a Youth Development Center left the facility on Furlow and never returned she wasn't reported missing to police though until 2017 after they got a tip about a separate case her brother submitted DNA samples as part of the missing person's case and then police learned the DNA matched the murder victim in Green County her family has now been notified the TBI wants to hear from you if you have any information on her death at least one person from me Tennessee is now dead from a growing
hepatitis A outbreak the State Health Department couldn't release any other information about the death there are 449 cases Statewide that includes 134 in Nashville and 2011 in its surrounding counties the state's second most impacted city is Chattanooga with 40 cases hepatitis A is a liver infection caused by a virus symptoms include fever nausea abdominal pain and jaundice it's most commonly spread through contaminated food and water or close contact with an infected person hepe vaccines have

ou what it looks like up and down Alcoa Highway here at this hour kind of like that uh just that gray sky that we're hanging out with us here this morning uh so really just some nasty conditions to uh get the morning started temperatures right now 43 we're going to see those temperatures stay steady or steadily decline as as we get past about noon to 1:00 this afternoon that's when temps start to fall into the 30s and for the evening Rush Hour we're going to be right into low to mid-30s and I th
ink fre you folks in Cumberland County you're going to be much much colder than that still have some uh steady rain showers a little bit of banding going on here on the back side of this low pressure system uh something that you typically see with the winter weather uh in the snowfall you get those little bands that set up you can kind of clearly see that as it rotates through the atmosphere but uh the big old system is moving its way on out it's a mess across the Ohio Valley in the Pacific nor
Pacific Northwest not even close uh the Upper Midwest and even along the Appalachian Mountains where we have some cold air it's called cold air damning means it gets stuck uh cold air is very shallow and so it just can't go up and over the mountain so we have rain here but it's a winry mess off to our East and Northeast and that's where uh the national weather service has upgraded winterstorm warnings up and down the Appalachian mountain region uh from Virginia West Virginia even over into North

not even washing my car I DED in your morning headlines today Tennessee released a result of its first ever safety review of every school in the state and there's are some areas that need improving the areas where most schools scored the lowest include surveillance and vehicle and access control to buildings the report says these areas may have the lowest scores because they often cost the most it also found weaknesses across the state in the documentation of Emergency Operations plans and not
meeting emergency drill requirements the department of Ed plans to offer districts more training in both of those areas Governor Haslam ordered the assessment after the Parkland Florida shooting where 17 people were killed Knox County Schoolboard members approved a plan to offer early retirement to hundreds of employees veterans in the classroom and administrators need at least a decade of service in the county their salaries would drop but those retirees could return on a part-time basis if the
ir jobs aren't filled by the end of the summer nearly 700 employees would be eligible for the early retirement program colleges across East Tennessee are bringing awareness to hunger and homelessness on their campuses many students rely on food pantries at the schools and donated clothes to make ends meet others take the bus for more than an hour every day just to make it to campus but they say getting an education makes the sacrifices worth it at least 60% of our students right now if free and
reduced lunch were available to college students would qualify fippi State also has a scholarship for homeless students it was started by a previously homeless student and so far they've given eight people the chance to get an education with plenty of holiday concerts coming up the Tennessee theater is warning about ticket scams it says third party sellers are buying up tickets to create a demand then selling them at massive markups Daniel secton explains how you can avoid the scam if you go onl

they even have phone Representatives it's not illegal just a ripoff and it happened to Bob Greenberg when he tried to buy tickets to an Allison cruss show what bothered me was that this was supposed to be the pre-sale and we were already in the back of the theater he paid about $135 for each of his four tickets they should have cost between 60 and 80 3 days before the concert he got an email saying there were no tickets I don't know if they wound up selling our tickets for a much higher price o
r if they simply never had the tickets at all this is not an isolated incident in some pre-sales thirdparty buyers had over 15% of tickets we sold 54 tickets to someone in Hawaii that definitely tipped off a red flag for us I don't think that we really would have sold 54 tickets to real people in Hawaii Bob got his money back but many don't The Unlucky people are the ones that show up the night of the show with a ticket that's not a good seat and if they did not buy the ticket from us we can't r
