and it's been an emotional week for many in Greenville as a long time JH Rose High School assistant coach Marvin jarm passed away at the age of 77 on Sunday this afternoon the JH Rose community and Greenville Community will celebrate jarman's life and the Legacy he leaves behind I spoke to family friends and JH Rose athletes who witnessed Marvin's love and support for the High School athletics over the years if you've been to any JH Rose High School sporting events over the past 30 plus years yo
u've probably seen greenville's legendary Marvin jarm Marvin meant a lot to me because of how much he supported me and all the decisions I made in my life he was the nicest guy you'll ever meet he was just always someone that cheered you up if you were ever down Marv the world to me was the best uncle I could ask for and he was always there at my sporting events a lover of all things JH Rose rampant who died Sunday at the age of 77 and though it's been a hard time for friends family and the rose
rampant community commity I don't think I've ridden by Rose High day yet that I hadn't cried and It's just tough I just hurt for I think RV the most because I was like his best friend growing up and such um I just know that he's going through a hard time too it's the memories and impact Marvin had that's getting people through both on and everybody would just look at him in the Dugout and he'd just be standing there and then like five seconds later he'd make a call and then we'd have people arg
uing and everything Marvin's like no no he'd look at you and say the same thing got hit the ball got got play defense got throw strikes uh and that was just always what what you needed to hear and off the field we said Marvin you going you going to get on a sled he's like well I don't know and uh we threw it on over there and Clay held on to the sled so it didn't go anywhere and Marvin got on there cautiously and got his balance and then we finally got a picture of him on there so we could say h
e went sweating and for Jackson Sur who received the Marvin jarm Spirit award there is no higher higher distinguish than being able to put your name next to that guy on any plaque it's that same Spirit many look forward to seeing live on um just the thought that he's in a better place right now and he's not suffering anymore and that he can carry on his legacy while he's in heaven charman's visitation will be this afternoon for from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and a memorial service will be on Sunday
at 2: p.m. inside the JH Rose high school gymnasium the German family is asking everyone attending the events to wear Rose High green if you'd like to send flowers to the family or plant a tree in his memory you can do so by visiting the bulkers funeral home website now that website can also be found on RS win.com
