[Music] it's time to meet our pet of the week each week we introduce you to a four-legged friend looking for their forever home with the help of an organization the St Louis area today we're joined with Gina with five acres animal shelter out of St Charles Gina good to see you tell me about Katie this is Katie she is seven years old so as you can see she's just such a sweet natured really lovely companion she wants to be right near her people she loves snuggling cuddling she enjoys her nap time
she is a just a really wonderful girl talk to me about uh how we think about how she would do with kids or family can they be energetic or does she like it more chill yeah she's definitely a chill dog she has lived with other dogs in the past so we think she would do fine with sort of a similar mellow calm dog in the home I think she would do really well with kids as long as they understand she's in her golden years she's looking for sort of a low-key lifestyle but really just would make a wonde
rful companion for someone looking for a calm or less energetic dog she just wants you to sit there and pet her well Katie does have a couple of friends that want to be adopted too so let's tell you about them we have Hershey who's a 7-year-old mixed breed looking for a family to call his own yeah well that was Hershey and uh I'm we have a couple cats at home so it's really not an option I was to say I couldn't get away with that but if I could have a dog Hershey would be the dog and Katie was s
