Down here in Florida we are blessed to have our own dream team - Dr. Jillian Johnson and Ashlee Parker with Farmhouse Chiropractic. And when you see you all they have done for the dog show community you will understand why they are paving the way for chiropractic care and massage therapy in canine and as well as equine sports. I I rode the pony at the k-mart parking lot for a quarter you can come ride my pony and I'll let you do it for free thank you yeah! I'll give you a quarter I'll hold you u
p to that Thats the biggest horse I ever rode With my vet referral in hand let's head on over to farmhouse chiropractic but first, don’t forget to subscribe and ring that little bell so you don't miss one episode Hello can you hear me over the rain? (laughing) so sexy this is my phone voice I suppose we should start from the beginning aye Dr Jillian grew up overseas as an only child and always had a passion for animals. She grew up riding horses. When she was nine years old, one of her horses ha
d a really bad rear leg injury and was limping for about six months. She and her family had gone through all the suggestions that veterinarian had suggested but the process was just too slow and agonizing. And the. Of course, her dad was starting to complain about the vet bills. One of his surf buddies happened to be a chiropractor and excepted the offer for him to take a look at the horse because at this point he was willing to try anything. Jillian was influenced at that very tender age as she
watched her horse gain relief while father’s friend worked on her. That’s when she knew what she wanted to do! and the rest, well, was a lot of schooling! How much you ask? How about 10 years! She has a bachelors of science from Texas A & M and then chiropractic school for about four years. After that she went to the animal program and then of course there’s always continuing education. As she’s so eloquently stated, she was the weird one. While in school surrounded by fellow students that were
working on people, she always knew she wanted to work on animals. The moment she graduated she bought her domain and started on her journey to create her dream, Farmhouse Chiropractic! And a journey it has been! She started her business working on Sunday evenings and whenever she could fit appointments in. Bit by bit the business grew, so much so that she has been doing it full-time for the last three years. Ashlee Parker is the other half of this dynamic duo. Originally from Alabama, which is
where she owned her own gym and was a personal trainer. She is an amazing athlete, probably since birth! Her knowledge of muscles is like no other and her ability to combine all of her skills makes for the perfect massage therapist In the human and animal world! They met back when they worked together at a gym where Ashlee was the personal trainer and Dr. Jillian was working on the chiropractic office located in the gym - yes in the HUMAN world. Not animals! Admittedly, being like three minutes
out of school and knowing EVERYTHING, Dr. Jillian was quite insistent in knowing Ashlee’s credentials before she would send any of her patients to her. They started working out together and discussing the patients that they were referring back-and-forth to each other and they both quickly realized how professionally, their skill set complemented each other perfectly. Of course that professional relationship blossomed into a personal one, with Ashlee starting to work on some of Dr. Jiliian’s anim
al patients, thus expanding and changing Farmhouse Chiropractic forever. Together they can work on spinal restriction as well as muscle tension which often times go hand-in-hand! The combination of these two services has been in the human world all along. These two provide a unique services for the animal world and we are very very lucky to have them. I have watched animals melt yhep melt just like, ohhhhhh it is amazing to see the relief that you bring to animals It's an honor I love my job the
re's never a day where I dread going to work It's always different but animals don't have the ability to tell you Hey I have a headache today or hey I slept wrong you it doesn't always have to be the huge lameness that people think of like my dogs has to be limping you know they can have bad days like everyone else So they are really appreciative of someone that finds it and they go ahhhh and then that's when they melt because they are feeling better and they don't get that they can't go grab a
n icepack or an advil right They recently added a class four laser as an additional service provided. Laser therapy is light therapy. Every cell in your body has microcondrea which is responsible for energy production. It takes in the light and it speeds up healing and decreases inflammation. Lasers are great for minor cuts, sore muscles or anything with inflammation. so to put it all together basically Dr. Jillian can take care of the spinal extremities, Ashlee can take of the muscles and then
they can take care of the inflammation and you are back in the ring much quicker! These two take the practice and hit the road throughout Florida, trying to hit at least one dog show a month. So how are they getting a dog showing you may ask? Especially since Dr. Jillian started with a background in horses? They would get a few pet dogs here and there but at one point a vet referred Dr. Jillian to a client’s mastiff. In addition to traveling to dog shows, they do occasional home visits but also
have a home office in Riverview Florida where you can bring your dogs as well as horses for treatments. Dr Jillian and Ashley‘s practice has grown beyond their wildest dreams and the friendships and connections they have made are truly lifelong. Some of the most amazing people and their truly special canine as well as equine companions, can be seen receiving treatment by two of the most Genuine, friendly, and generous people you’ll ever meet in the sport.

I really love and appreciate my local vet that is also a chiropractic (horses and dogs). My dog loves her and he helps keep him in great shape (along with fitness) for agility! And very interesting that they have their main office in Riverview! That’s where I used to live when I was in Florida (Miami before that).
