Kevin Bacon surprises students of 'Footloose' high school!

these might be the most famous Lockers in America I I think so I mean even we get to follow Kevin Bacon's footsteps every single day back in 1984 in the hit movie Foot Loose Kevin Bacon became a cult hero taking on a small town that's outlawed dancing to hold a senior prom while teaching his best friend to dance so should we give it a try and while the town in foot loose is fictitious the school where they shot it is not this is Kevin bac's Locker this place is like a tin capsule to the 1980s Ut

ah's Pac High School became a working movie set for foot loose and they are proud of it can you walk down these halls and not think about the movie no when I walk down the halls I feel like I'm in the movie students Ruby Rock and Caleb daok were born decades after the movie's release why does it mean so much to you I think it means so much because everyone around us cares about it so much and that Pride runs deep in the community Brian Wimer and Kim will grew up here and were asked to be extras

in the film did either of you ever imagine that this film would become the pop culture phenomenon that it's been no not at all it's a freak coincidence that all of the things came together perfectly the way this film did the timing of when it was who was in it the music all that that's Brian chess bumping actor Chris Penn in the iconic prom scene they needed the Homegrown talent to make it work and everybody was willing to jump in 100% Pac was more than a location P was a character yes but soon

these famous hallways will be gone Pon High School is relocating at the end of the school year so students decided the best way to say goodbye would be to ask Kevin Bacon himself to return for their last prom how much work have you put into this campaign well basically this whole year has been the full loose year with the hash BAC to Pac the students using social media to get Bacon's attention recreating scenes from the movie learning the Foot Loose dance and On Prom day they'll host an event to

support Bacon's charity 6° to watch them just take ownership of that and run with it has been it succeeded beyond my wildest dreams honestly Jenny Staley is the student council adviser at Pac what do you think it is 40 years later that makes Foot Loose still resonate with kids today in a lot of ways don't feel seen and they don't feel understood and they don't feel heard that teen experience that you see in the movie is something that every single teenager still understands and lives every day

what would it mean to you guys if Kevin Bacon showed up everything just because of all the work we've put in I think it just would be so Unforgettable like we made a big difference and we were able to get a movie star to come back to P like that's [Music] insane guys the students here at Pac have worked so hard to get Kevin bacon to prom led by Ruby and Caleb here and guys guys prom is only a month away so I think it's about time for a big announcement can I get everybody's attention quiet down
