ng up the sun this week you awesome felt great to be outside to be alive in the sunshine you know now we're coming back to my natural habitat the indoor kid uh weather so I'm excited uh I'm going to start off to by seeing some standup we have some really really good standups coming to town this week starting today right yeah tonight tonight uh she's really wonderful you might have seen her on Last Comic Standing she's appeared on Conan before Deborah djovani uh Deborah has been nominated for the
Canadian version of a Grammy the Juno Award for best comedy album called lady Jazz but de so so funny and we're lucky to have her coming through town on a weekday those Canadians they know their comedy man yeah oh absolutely absolutely classics all around so but yeah if you're looking for a little pickme up Midway through the week which I definitely need who isn't I might go check out Deborah tonight at Helium Comedy Club that's a great call midweek call there and then looking head to the weeke
nd yes and we've had some tongue twisters on this show for the last couple weeks this one's no exception it's the Pretty Kitty glitter party wow glitter a brand new sketch show and six really really funny individuals if it's anything like their last show which I really loved this one's going to be another Banger uh they at the siren theater and uh it's brand new material you're going to see a totally new sketch show uh and I love their aesthetic uh that like kind of Lisa Frank 90s uhhuh that's t
hey're super funny and they've been all been around comedy for a very long time here in Portland and uh the siren is just a great place to see sketch comedy nice yeah we don't get enough of it age and again that's why I always like how you dabble around it's not just stand up you got some sketch I always like the variety yeah we try to you know sprinkle a little bit here a little bit there but Portland really is such a rich comedy scene uh and I'm I'm just it's so fun to get to kind of tell folk
s about some shows that I think are going to really like spark them yeah I love absolutely okay Saturday what we got on Deck all right we have uh two nights Saturday and Sunday and if you told me that I was going to fall in love with a comedy show about animal skeletal systems I I don't know that I would have put that on my bingo card yeah but I love this show it's coming for two nights it's called anatomica Uh a m Hunter who is uh International comedian a clown uh a self-described lil Gremlin u
h she her whole show is around which animal skeletal system is superior which is the best animal skeletal system it's so funny has amazing costumes throughout the it's like part uh sketch part clown and it's you know there to smash your funny bones so okay that's one of my favorite like random topics to bring up at like a dinner party or a party with like random animal facts totally I feel like you would get so much good random anal animal fact material from this this is the one for you do you l
ike do you have an animal skeletal system like if you like who would you choose would you choose like I would want like an ant right because there's skeletons on the outside so you're always they can like 10 times their lightweight like you never see an ant like fall to Doom it always is just like you see what I mean you can you can get an entire debate going at dinner over which animal I'm telling you this is like a show to put on the calendar it's unlike anything I've ever seen and I'm just li
ke enamored with it so very excited for anatomica kickstand comedy Saturday and Sunday this weekend and we're going to we're going to end on a they started as kind of a viral uh web series hit hash I mom so hard so they they're two moms two BFFs and they started doing this web series it basically caught 2 million followers in a year and now they've written books they're touring the country and they're bringing # iom soard ladies night to Revolution Hall so they have a huge following they're supe
r fun and uh you know what they're just going to get back in the minivan and and uh at the end of the week get to the PTO meeting or PTA meeting I love it there super fun soccer practice you know it's still it's still a ways out for Mother's Day is coming up in May maybe treat mom to a night out you know my mom so hard give her little early mother well it's just so cool that we live in a time where you know you you don't need an executive to to give you a huge check to make you know a comedy sho
w they just started on YouTube or started their little web series and now it's grown into their brand and they they can tour it I just think it's very cool to see how many options comedians have today to get their name out there and their ideas out there and connect with their fans very relatable totally I'm sure there are tons of uh moms that are ready to hasht I'm mom so hard so you don't cry when it comes to being a parent sometimes you know so kind of fun dyl thank you as always for sure tha
