Join us as we journey through the stunning island of Jeju, Exploring its most iconic landmarks. Get ready for breathtaking views, Ha! Looks like he waved at you. Fascinating insights into Korean culture. Many goodies and oddities. It's intense as hell! And last but not least. You cannot believe what happened to us. Especially on our special day. But first, we need to come back to where it all started. Wow, that place looks popular. This restaurant specialises in pork from Jeju Island, Which wher
e we're going tomorrow. But we having it in Seoul instead. We look forward to it because the barbecue is a charcoal barbecue. Also, they have some special sauces here. Two of them very spicy. The other one is like a fermented fish. Different compared to Korean barbecue in Melbourne. And to finish up the meal, we had the best kimchi soup we ever tasted. The next morning, our journey to Jeju began. It started with an hour long train ride to the airport, followed by a flight lasting another hour. A
nd then the plan was to drive for one hour by car to reach the hotel we booked. But once we landed, we were really tired. So instead, we made the improvised decision to find a hotel near the airport in Jeju City. We're gonna freshen up and maybe go grab something to eat, because the rule is you're not allowed to eat anything in here. We just read the rule again. It says no food allowed. In brackets, chicken, pizza, bread allowed. So there you go. You can have chicken in here, but no any other st
uff. Somehow we just ended up in Korean Las Vegas. I would never expect to see so many flashing lights and vivid signs in the middle of a small island in South Korea. Life is full of surprises. Check out this guy doing a live stream with his fluffy dog. Right on the street. It's funny how in South Korea, all you need is a dog to have a street performance, because dogs are not as common as they are in Australia. I couldn't resist trying a Korean pizza. Just look at that stretchy cheese. A bit dif
ferent than a pizza in Australia. And I like how in Korea, you have a side dish with pretty much every meal. Even a pizza. Today is a special day, Right, Robba? Yes. Today is our anniversary. You can start any day, let alone a special day without any caffeine. Here we go. Today, luckily, I found a place with matcha. So I'm having a hot matcha. So the plan for today is: number one, find a car. Number two, drive to the aquarium. Number three, see fish and other sea creatures. Number four, find our
hotel. Number five, celebrate our special day. As the day begins with aspirations high. The path to adventure starts with a rental car, a journey of freedom and discovery just within grasp. So many things to see in Jeju and it’s all made possible by the rental car. Look at the rental car that we just got. Oops. Where is it? So, I did a bit of a ‘whoopsie’. We went to rent a car. The lady was like, you need this, you need that, you need this, this, this... I was like, yeah, don't worry, I have e
verything. We're ready to go. Like, I have everything prepared. And then first thing she asked for is the international driver's permit. I showed that she's like, nope, sorry. And she was pretty happy about that, actually. International driver's license expires after a year of issue date. We're going to travel on the bus now. But luckily, someone helped us figure out which bus to take. And we’re going to be able to take one bus, pretty much all the way to the destination. This is not planned for
the special day. But I guess because of it, it makes the day extra special. So, one hour drive to the hotel. And it only costs for both of us. $7 AUD. We saved a lot of money by not getting the car. So we can spend it on a nice dinner for our little celebration tonight. So instead of having a rental car, we decided to have our own private driver. Let's see what other food Jeju has to offer. I was so happy to stumble upon this interesting dish. Prawns and octopus on a hot sizzling plate. Wrappin
g the seafood and side dishes in a perilla leaf. It was full of flavours. Just Robba being Robba, enjoying his deep fried meal. Just a short walk from our lunch spot. The raw beauty of Jeju slowly revealed itself. You’re watching JungleTV. It's no surprise that we must have gained a few kilos with all the good food in Korea. I guess it's about time to be more disciplined, and hit the outdoor gym. Robba is going to try to do something crazy. After he just ate, he going to challenge himself. First
exercise in a month. You need to let go. Trust the process. Straight! Straight! Straight leg! Looks like you're beeing tortured. That was fantastic! When we first came here, the lady was in that position and she inspired me to do it. If I didn't see her doing it, I wouldn't have done it. Yeah, you could definitely feel the blood go through your head. It's an unusual feeling. And, yeah, you do have to kind of let go and trust that you're going to be held up. If you ever get a chance to try it, d
o it! It's life changing. Kind of. Could be. Anyway. What's the best thing to do after a pumping workout? Relaxing in the rooftop jacuzzi. Hello, JungleTV in the hot tub. Such a romantic way to finish up our special day. At last, a special and long awaited anniversary dinner. We were too tired to go out for a proper dinner. But, hey, we got to spend a whole day with each other. Not having a rental car didn't stop us from enjoying what Jeju has to offer. The next day, we booked a private tour wit
h a local driver. Our first stop, Jeongbang waterfall. Known as the largest waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the ocean. Our next stop is the one we've been anticipating. We're at Aqua Planet, Jeju Island. And we just saw the main performance of the day. It took about half an hour, and the first 5 minutes was animals and the rest was... White people dancing and singing on stage. And definitely not the kind of performance that we would expect to see at an aquarium. I think there were som
e cool stuff there. Like, you know, they were jumping. Doing different, like, flips and stuff. Projection mapping. I definitely wasn't expecting that. And I was ok with maybe like 10 minutes of that. And the rest was animals. But it was the other way around. Yeah, we waited until the end because we were hoping that maybe there will be some animals coming out. But no. But that's all right. It was an experience. Just right behind me is the first tank of the aquarium. And look at the size of it. On
ly the first tank. And it looks amazing. So let's explore the place. The fish from this tank are from the waters of Jeju Island. The fish from this time are from Hawaii Island. I just found the coolest creature that I always wanted to see in real life. Look at them. So strange. It looks like sea lizard. Hello, how are you? I’m under the water. Please help me. Here too much raining! Oh, wait. This is not a fish. But it's still so cool. We were so impressed with this water tunnel. I don't think I'
ve ever seen a stingray this big. Still, this tunnel is nothing compared to what you about to see. We are at the biggest tank of the aquarium. And look at the size of it. It's massive We were absolutely mesmerised by the sheer size of the final tank. Standing in front of it, I couldn't help but feel tiny. No doubt. We definitely made the right decision to come here. It was my first time seeing a swimming walrus. How can a mammal this big swim so fast? Ha! Looks like he waved at you. We are at th
e crater with our guide, Jimmie. His plan was to take us for an hour walk up to the summit. We're not prepared for that. But luckily, it's only one day of the month that the trail is closed... and it is today. So now we're just taking a shorter walk down to see the woman diver performance. But first, let's learn about the woman divers of Jeju-do. These woman divers first entered the workforce due to a shortage of men during the Korean War. Without the need for oxygen masks, they free dive to dep
ths of up to ten meters and can hold their breath for an impressive minute, risking their lives to gather seasonal shellfish like abalone and sea cucumber. They continue this demanding work until they are 80 years old. For our last destination of the tour, we going to Jeju Folk Village. So these are models of old houses in Jeju. The most fascinating thing we learned about these houses Is the heating system called ondol. Here, firewood is burned, and the hot smoke and heat travels through the spa
ce under the floor, warming it up. We were also introduced to different Korean traditional games. I guess we need a lot of practice to excel at this pitch pot game. Black pork is a specialty from Jeju Island. And traditionally houses on the island had black pig pens built next to them. These pigs were known to consume human waste. That's why the toilets were built next to the pig cages. You might even need to bring a stick with you while doing your business to fend off the hungry pigs. Take a lo
ok at these volcanic rocks. The people of Jeju, have a deep connection to them. And these volcanic statues are the icon of Jeju. They represent protection and fertility and are seen as guardians of the island's buildings and people. We ended the big day with a Korean barbecue. On the menu is my long awaited dish raw soy marinated crab and black pork from Jeju. We also gave tangerine rice wine a try. I enjoyed it so much. After indulging in delicious food and absorbing fascinating cultural facts
in Jeju, we return to Seoul for the final leg of our trip Back at the same accommodation We were treated to a traditional Korean breakfast. By looking at a footage, you don’t understand how cold it is. Looks really sunny and nice but it’s actually freezing. Currently it’s minus five and feels like minus ten. But it's also really windy. And there's just this really strong gusts of wind. it's intense. we're going to go Gangnam now, to see what it's all about. Pretty straightforward, not confusing
until we get lost. The subway was bustling with people enjoying their day off. On March 1st, Independence Day. We managed to navigate our way through an hour long train ride to Gangnam. Welcome to Starfield Library, the most famous library in South Korea. If you traveled to Seoul, you have to go to this place because look at it. You know, you should do a time lapse here, right? I think it's a great symbol, inspiring people to read, especially young people. When they come to the mall, they see al
l these books, see this awesome place. But in terms of practicality, I don't know. I don't know how practical this place is. Wow, here you have to look at the book very quick if you want to borrow it. As a symbol, I think it's great. Walking around the busy COEX Mall. One thing caught our eye. The National Geographic clothing store. We don't have this in Australia. We just came out of Lotte Hi Mart store, my first impressions are the store has a lot of the stuff we have in Australia. But here th
e, focus is on Korean products like Samsung, LG. And then the other products on the side, kind of. I really like the design of the store inside. The displays a really nice Feels futuristic! So we looked in here. We looked there We checked all the pockets. After returning from Gangnam, we were hit with a sudden panic. Our camera was nowhere to be found. We messed up the bed. Here. Here. Nothing. Nothing. And we thought Robba left it. And then suddenly, I just randomly spotted it. It was just sitt
ing right here. Fate allows, JungleTV continues. It is a sad moment. We are going to the last dinner in South Korea. Looks like we just took a wrong turn. I guess we are having canned dumplings tonight. After getting lost twice in the side streets of Seoul, we ended up finding the place. It seems to be definitely for locals only. People after work come here and enjoy some dumplings. We ordered a Korean dumpling hotpot, and were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of flavors. Where’s the soup?
Never had this before. Neither. The hotpot was simply divine. With a touch of soy sauce the mandu was definitely one of the best foods we tasted in South Korea. The next day, We sadly found ourselves at the airport. And that concludes our first trip to South Korea. It was fun. Thanks for watching JungleTV! It's about time, it’s finally time, to open the Funny Box Plus. I've been thinking about it all week. The more I think about it, the more excited I am to see what's inside. There's a lot of po
ssibilities. But I am expecting random, I'm expecting funny. As you can see that we are back to Melbourne in our own home and we actually brought the Funny Box with us. So the Funny Box has traveled a long way all the way from South Korea to Australia. Right here, right now. For the first time ever, JungleTV. We're going to open the Funny Box. Here we go! It's actually quite light, so I'm not expecting an iPad in here. Sadly. It's a box in a box. That's it. I thought there would be plenty of ite
ms. Oh my God. Pretty disappointing. It is very disappointing. I think it's like, like a fake Lego with different pieces and you put it together, So I know that you've been waiting for the Funny Box to be opened. And, you know, we really look forward to open it as well, because we thought that there will be plenty of cool items in there. But turns out I think there's only one item. So only one big shitty item instead of a lot of small ones. I don't need help from no man. Here we go. Gosh. Well,
it's actually not just one item. There's 258 pieces in here waiting to be assembled. Here we go! Yeah. So, as I have guessed, it's actually like a Lego type of thing. And yeah, you just put it together and the final product will be... this one. Pretty disappointed, to be honest. When life gives you shitty knock off Lego, you build it. Accept life as it is and move on and... And think about the next destination where there will be maybe no Funny Box, but more funny moments for JungleTV. Right, ri
ght, right. I think the cool thing is that it's got a giant amount of pieces in here. I’ve completed the chamber for the character. Gonna put them inside here and close it, we're going to pour like different bits inside of this hole. So Nat got the head stuck in there. And one way to fix it is to use the character and put it there and kind of try and get it out with that there. Life hack! Oh shit. I don't feel funny or lucky. Right now I'm just filling the gap with those little pieces. Does anyo
ne want it? You need to comment down below and maybe we'll send it to you, when we finish. It’s funny because we hyped up the Funny Box so much, We gonna lose all of our subscribers! Sweet! But some people do find this soothing. To be fair And here we are. 2 hours later. 2 hours? Probably one and a half hours later. We finally finished, what's inside the Funny Box. And we actually messed it up. We put the human, the figure inside facing the wrong way, Classic JungleTV. Yeah. For, you know, for t
he price of it and for what it is, it’s pretty cool. Takes a while. Very complicated. Takes a while to actually put that... put the whole thing together. But for what it is inside the Funny Box, it is very disappointing. So. Not approve. Unless you don't know what the Funny Box is, So basically it's a random item box. There is a variety of little random things in there that should be very funny. But turns out we only found one single item in a random item box. So is it a scam or is it not? The q
uestion remains still. You know, there is a possibility that we just misunderstood what the Funny Box was. Maybe random item box means like one random item per box. We just assumed based on the advertising that there is, you know, a bunch of stuff in one box and, you know, and they're funny, but maybe it's funny for them because they misled you and... The creator of the Funny Box is the one having all the fun. But to be honest, I would actually buy it again because I want to see what's, you know
, what else is in the Funny Box, what else you can get. This Funny Box, it costs 10 AUD. So I think for the price, you know, what we got is actually pretty good Nat likes it. As I'm talking to you right now, she's actually playing with it. So, you know, she can't get enough of it. So it's good value for money, I think. See you in the next JungleTV.
