well good morning everybody this is Monday September the 4th 2023 it's
Labor Day and AJ's out there laboring he's out there raking and
laboring on Labor Day he's not I bet he wishes he were in school this morning I
bet so let's find out what Steven is up to this morning and I'll tell you what AJ
and I have on our agenda this morning so let's go find the man of the hour
I'm so proud of my [Music] [Applause] husband [Applause] [Music] oh [Applause] all right so I guess Stephen is doing some u
h
cleaning up in the garage from all the dust now Saturday morning I got half of this uh
gravel lot weed eat it and raged up and so what I have to do this morning now believe it
or not this used to be all perfect gravel it just it was perfect uh three years ago this
month actually three years ago September of 2020 we had all this gravel brought in and it was
white and glistening and beautiful and anyway as you can see it's not like that anymore you can
see that we have is shoes and we and
we've also used chemicals on it at different times before to
kill the grass but it just not not good enough so anyway I need to um I need to finish up the
rest of this lot um I I will be weed eating this and and raking this up and uh anyway
you're supposed to be raking boy okay this is Labor Day put some labor into labor day
so I had given AJ a task on Saturday I had um used the lawn mower to make these piles of
grass and let them dry in the sun yesterday on Sunday so this is what he's supp
osed to be doing
for us today is to finish raking up all this grass and using the wheelbarrow now Stephen actually
um even though he was feeling sick Saturday he actually was able to pull down a dead tree branch
that them what I've done oh excuse me I'm sorry AJ wants to show you his labors what does the
word labor mean work work is that all you have managed to do is that look at all the grass you
still have to rake up it's a lot of grass and then he's got to do some finished push mowing bu
t
look at all the grass that you still have to rake up so anyway we had a tree LM that was uh had
been hanging from a bad storm for several weeks and Stephen hadn't gotten around to it and so
he got the four-wheeler out on Saturday and I was in the middle of weed eating when he did it
otherwise I would have come and filmed him pulling it off but I was just covered from doing the weed
eating so it wasn't an opportune time to grab the camera and film him but he had gotten a chain
you did it
off cam uh yes we didn't we didn't film it that's right we didn't film it so anyway
he got the four yes AJ he got the four-wheeler and some chains and he uh pulled this down off
of a tree that the storm had uh done so we've got we always have a burn pile going here always
oh I hear the cicus you hear the cicus so anyway this is something that Stephen did on Saturday
that I was not able to film and so we will be uh consuming that in fire are you twirling your
Paton are you twirling your Pato
n uhhuh just kindy of fidgeting around yeah when you are supposed
to be laboring on Labor Day my son do you wish you were in school this morning no well actually
kind of I don't want to be in school but I don't want to do this work and it would be much better
to be in school than to do this is that right so anyway we got all of this to clean up and like
I said I would have uh made a grand production of Steven pulling it off off the tree on Saturday
but I was in the middle of weed eating and
just wasn't a good time to go grab the camera AJ look
at this perfect circle of grass that you need to rake up you need to get busy son so yeah I kind of
have let the weed eating go and now it's caught up to bite me and I was doing all this and you
can clearly see a Division I just wish that we had been able to maintain this chemical and
just continue to not have it grow over all the gravel got to pick that up in a [Music] minute
AJ stop following me and please go do what you're supposed t
o do I want to be on C you want to
be I just filmed you oh okay let me film you raking very funny let me film you riking
but AJ that's not a toy okay that Grabber is not a toy I know that I'm just kind of
fidgeting around well get to work let's go find out what dad's up to get to work
so I guess it was pretty dusty in here huh you'll find a good use for those I'm
sure that's some shingles that somebody was actually throwing away those are roofing shingles and uh at the recycling center in K
atie
in Tri County somebody was actually throwing away these two things of roofing shingles and I
thought well you know there's the old expression that somebody else's trash is somebody else's
treasure and I thought that's expensive throwing away Roofing [ __ ] Jingles that's expensive
why would somebody throw away why would somebody literally throw away uh roofing shingles but
I rescued them and Stephen Stephen wasn't too happy about that he he says that I um bring
too much stuff home he
wasn't too happy about that so here's the other one on my toe oh I know what I was going to do and
I completely forgot four days ago I was going to say hey the first three numbers
of our license plate is 8:31 well today is September the 4th and a few days ago
I thought about it but never did it and I thought well that's August 31st on my license
plate look at that August 31st on a license plate tell everybody what that is Stephen
it's a height look like it's got a sweat it's a hide a cow hi
de no it's
deer hide I think oh was it deer hide y kind of hang it up Fold It Up
really no place safe to hang it up all right so what is your major your number one
uh your number one thought for the day of what what what do you want to truly accomplish on
the truck today I have two issues that keeping me from going on road and that's oil leak and
antifreeze leak so let me show you ladies and gentlemen I have to show you
guys ladies and gentlemen uh after a while when I get it pulled
off b
ut up there on those two front bolts on this oil pan you can see these leaks
that's where the gaskets come down off of the back plate and off of the cover and then they
fold under and so I'm going to drop this pan got no new gaskets and put a whole new gasket
on here and take a razor and shave those down flush so that they don't protrude and get in any
kind of way and while I have this oil filter off I'll drain the [Music] antifreeze trying
to keep it clean and then the valve that I need to
tighten is right there right there I
think it's right there so I I'll tighten it I mean if it'll tighten up more we'll see if I
can get a turn or two more on it maybe that stop it it's not much just but you know if
anybody knows about cold leaks this is warm and it drips so when it gets cold it's going
to drip more so need to get it stopped now then uh I'll probably clean the oil off of there
get that clean so it can stay cool and then I'll have to do a grease job check my travel on my
sl
ack adjusters and the rear and [ __ ] and get everything ready and those tires down there
um will uh those tires and get them replaced that' be about 3 G so that's what I got to do
today is my first day back on the job after being sick um I'm not exactly 100% but I think
I'm good enough to lay on my back do this job and then I got to wire those uh those lights
back into the Hood um I know you can't see but um those wires there they all got to
be put back in into the hood [Music] so see this
mess right here spaghetti mess so
yeah I got new plugs there are three ways just like this so I'll put some new wires on it so I
can plug that in plug it all in and get us all zip tied down make sure everything is out of
the way where nothing gets hurt or moves and and uh I did notice that these rubber guards
I don't know how long they're supposed to be but I got plenty of rubber around here uh might
put those on cuz Winter's just right around the corner keep water and trash off the motor
so just
all about getting ready ladies and gentlemen and so there's the root to be trying to get some
content but uh yeah so yeah it's my first day out here in three or 4 days so that's been my
battle the whole times being sick I don't know if uh it's just I'm getting over the hill
and I can't stay healthy or what but this last month I've been sick three times three
times in a month and uh I don't want no woes of me and I'm not asking nobody feel sorry
for me I do appreciate your prayers u
h you know if the truck is 100% if I die at least
Ry can sell the truck and Traer and have uh you know go buy a donut or two with it and
uh and then we got life insurance probably take care of the rest so dying is nothing bad I
get to go to heaven so I'm not concerned about that but as long as I'm here on this world I
want to stay healthy so you know guys have a wonderful day going give you back to Rey here
