[ Music ] There are lots of ways that we can overcome fears, and we're going to look at some different advice, okay? So, I'm just going to put up on the board. So, we've got here three, six different methods for dealing with fear. What I would like to do is read them one by one and then discuss it with your partner, do you think this is a good way of overcoming a fear, or maybe a bad way? And then you've read all of them, I want you to choose the three that you think are the best ways of dealing
with a fear. So here's a question for you, do you enjoy rollercoasters? Rollercoasters? Yeah. Why do people generally like roller coasters? Because they want to feel the wind? Well, they want to feel the fear, don’t they? The adrenaline. I think for a lot of people, these dangerous sports, they are scary. But the adrenaline rush is, I guess, a really good feeling. Number four? So, you think number four? What else? Number two? Number two? There’s no right answer. It’s just an opinion. Which
one do you think would help you? Three. Facing it many times. The repetition, yeah. That’s like -- who was saying? – maybe it was Marko who was saying that at school, they do lots and lots and lots of presentations. And the first one is hard – but then it gets easier every time. And what was your fear again? My fear was heights. Oh, heights. So the same. And also, spiders. Okay. The bigger ones that can jump. Which ones do you think work best for you? Two, three, five? Okay. So that idea th
at exercise can help you. Yeah, I think so. Good stuff. Okay, guys, if you haven't finished, don't worry. Let's just see what you think are the best three. So Abdulaziz and Luca, which were your top three? Two, three, five. Two, three, five. Okay. For Mariko and Marco? Two, three, six. Two, three, six. So similar. Ladies? Two, three, and four. Two, three, and four. Okay, so two and three are very popular here. Stefan and Alicia? Probably two and five, and we're not so sure about the third on
e. Yeah. I like number six personally, laughing in face of fear. And for Jinho and Ayane? Two, three and four. Okay. So, I think number three, everyone chose number three, the repetition of facing it.
