Hey guys and gals. Let's unbox and take a look at
the bricks in Fliprus Snow Adventure by LEGO Super Mario. Set number 71417 and this contains roughly
about 567 bricks, and this is an "expansion set". So obviously you got to have the Mario figure
to make this work, and well we're interested in the bricks today, and I have managed to find
the building guides for these. So now I can actually do more of a proper review than just we
race through it. So all the other ones I've done in the past I
'm going to have to sort all those
parts down for instructions. I mean I don't know. Nope! It's one of these goofy things,
but now I'm glad I saved these because, you actually have to scan these to get the manual, and just one thing to note, you actually do
need... I don't know if it says it in here. You actually need to get that silly Super Mario
app to actually make use out of that because they don't have it on the regular LEGO website. So I
don't know how these are broken down or whateve
r. "3", "7", "2" ... whatever I don't know.
I think there's seven bags. I don't know. Well let's start with bag "1". Let's have a
look at bag "1" and see what we get inside, and this one's obviously mostly full of air. I don't know what this one here is
without the manual up front. I don't know. Okay we got some cool yellow
bricks with studs on the sides, one of these turtle shells, and
some legs and a brick separator and a cool yellow Technic brick I'll get a pair of
those and some printe
d eyes just staring at us and one of these bow nose tiles or quarter round
brick with bow we also got one with a little nose print on there some bricks with studs on the side
or regular 1 by 2 plate a useless scanning tile now I'm going to keep saying that because I don't
have the starter course so around two by two flat tiles and a cool yellow two by two tile with
four lines so yeah some angler plates one by two and two by two plates and yeah so far I
mean that's pretty much what was in ba
g one moving on to bags too okay I see some
pretty interesting pieces in this one now I've seen these in a few other sets
and I'm not sure what we use these for but if you put those together kind of like tile or something you'd
see like in the there's that one TV or that one movie the animation movie uh Ice
Age that's what it kind of reminds me of it's got that nice texture too so maybe we can
get a a mammoth to walk on that or something that's pretty much what they are pretty much
like ti
les they're just two-thirds of a tile and we've got some of these weird four by six by
two thirds or six by eight by two thirds plates probably used for platforms six by six
plate on these six by six plates that are round here's a couple of these but that's
probably supposed to go there I don't know four by four plate wow a two by four
brick those are rare and a set of legs maybe we'll have to mount a TV or something
on that and a corner angular brick or slope here's some here's some blue s
lopes a two
by two and a set of one by twos and your plates bricks with studs oh they got two jet
uh two studs on both sides and then here's one of these Mountain pieces right
here these are pretty cool I like those and let's see what's in this little bag
here now even though if I don't have a starter course I'm still going to build
this just to kind of see what it's about because we can still I think we can play
with it just without all the technology okay we've got some Corner broken til
es
and some 1 by 2 by 2 Corner angular tiles okay breaks with studs so one by one slope some
corn around one by one flat tiles 1 by 1 slopes um 1 by 3 flat tiles I'm just browsing through
them real quick here because I'm kind of in a rush to get this stuff done here I'm trying
to get everything done by the year new year and it's added another scan tile no that's
actually regular cool well there's some pieces in here that I could use well let's have a
look at bag three let's see what's in h
ere okay more bags with some bags oh yes I could use
these they make great for water nice texture too and a turntable base a couple of eight by eight
by two thirds rounded platforms [Applause] you can use these for making a Minecraft scene if you
want okay three by five Technic Corner lift arm 1 by 2 by 3 column bricks a couple of plates we
got two by three plate a 1 by 4 plate a three by three quarter round plate you got a inverted Dome
with Stud in the middle one by two Technic brick here
's some of these 1 by 2 by one and two thirds
brick with eight studs we've got a couple of those and a two by three white slope 45 degree those
are hard to find we got some inverted 1 by 2 45 degrees an excellent show that's printed with a
confused face yeah that's how I'm with this set oh I've never seen slopes like that
before that's kind of freaky let me get a couple more of those I've seen these
they're not these if we get two of those maybe top of a roof or something be great for water
let me
get some of those for like waterfalls or something okay we got I think these are 18 degrees two
by four slopes I think this is light royal blue that's a pretty interesting color for these this
would make a great winter set here to make winter themes 1 by 6 plate some 1 by 6 bricks inverted
one by inverted two by two plates of bail and I have never seen one of these until just now in
person it's a 1 by 4 by 2 3 plate with Bell okay very handy for trim for like around windows
and doo
rs like we only get one piece of that and some flat tiles and some two by two
plates with bail and stuff like that and yeah no not too bad a lot of these pieces I can use
though because this set here might be a winner and don't worry I will still build it but without
the starter course it'll probably still get an F rating or at best at least a three all right oh
what a waste they use a nice aqua blue tile for that stupid scan thing you know we don't care
about that now and we got some more
of that light royal blue 1 by 2 plates we got a one by one
by one by one downwards angular plate one of these type of things here 45 degree slot with flat tile
and I got one of these in transparent light blue okay we got a two by two tile with bail a
lift arm with 1 by 2 plate attached to it Technic pins both friction and regular
Technic pins some of these slopes okay we got a got a couple of these one by one
bricks with the two adjacent studs not too bad and you know Technic pins some of t
hese
Technic bricks with a single hole okay I can always use the shark's teeth or tooth
pieces in blue for water the set does like it comes with a few of those so I'm seeing a lot
of stuff in here for water that's pretty cool well let's see what's in back door okay okay so far I'm seeing plates of various sizes so
we got a modified two two by two plate with a hole one by ten and two by eight plates two by threes
one by three plates and another confused face on a three by three round flat ti
le and we
got a regular one here I probably will never use that maybe use it for maybe I don't
know four by four by two thirds plate platform play that's what I'm going to call them I
don't know what their official name is some 1 by 2 plates that are transparent like blue as well as
one by one slopes in that color some Technic cogs um a hole that accepts a 3.2 shaft some on my one down 2x2 glider blade turntables all right I've
got a couple of these type of snot bricks in here one by one by
one and two-thirds brick with two
studs pretty cool one by two technique bricks with two holes and 1 by 3 brick width Arch
so so far I don't know about that one there there's a few pieces that I could use
out of that but nothing really major and let's see here oh we got more of those sharks
teeth cool and regular one by one round flat tiles inverted 1 by 2 plates with bow three stud long
cross axle here's a technic a three stud long Technic hinge with flange and probably a 3.2 hole
I'm no
t sure but well this is a 3.2 shaft let's see if it'll fit in there indeed it does so yes
so we got a couple of these little stem pieces too the only kind of flowers you could put on these
is the friends flowers as far as I know of and 1 by 2 flat tiles 1 by 2 plates some of these
plates with the holder studs these are the regular studs of course and some of these if I could pick
them up one by one by two-thirds slopes like like a little pyramid yeah this bag here just mostly
has small piec
es let's proceed on with that five okay well looks like we're starting to see
the same old thing like plates of various sizes well there's a two by fourteen in white we
got a couple of two by eights one by two brick but two studs or two Technic pins my bad
it's a it's a late bedside unboxing again some of these weird plates that have the brick
some of these pieces right here that have the inverted 45 degree slopes great for making boats
and stuff 1 by 6 plates 1 by 6 flat tile some more of
these 18 degree slopes two by four variant
and some of these platform four by six plates and in an inverted 45 degree that's
like a two by two plate at the bottom two by six plates some upwards one by two
but one by two angler plates four by four by two thirds platforms this one's got
a lot of these type of pieces you could use for snow and I've been trying to get
these for a while for making snow terrains and we got some steeper snow trains I don't
know what these are here probably 70 deg
rees well they're pretty close I think
it's probably 70 degrees hard to say I can't remember what those were and here's
a four by four by two thirds round flat tile yeah probably unless that these sets don't have
stickers so I don't have to worry we got a technic lift arm and a 1 by 2 transparent blue 45 degree
slope two by two plates 1 by 4 bricks yeah I mean it's going to be all the same stuff when you
get it about halfway through these big sets you notice that a lot of the parts start to
be coming the same and it's it's just we go through it faster unless there's something
pretty exciting like this right here we've already seen a bunch of 1 by 2 transparent
lightly plates two by two plates with down some regular 1x2 plates and dark stone
gray 1 by 3 plate technically charm with a 1 by 2 plate we got some Technic pins
friction and regular and a two stud long cross axle one by one slopes some of these
downwards one by one by one by two plates if there's any printed stuff in
here and yeah
and we got some we got some studs and some a number one 1x2 plate that's round okay bag six
looks interesting because it's got pink in there this one's got two smaller bags in it
okay first thing is these Rock pieces can you make a whole rock out of them cool
can we make two of them wow even better too that's not too terribly beneficials I
don't know maybe it's medium plastic and this is bright pink of various shapes and
sizes so we got one by one bricks with thou 1 by 4 pla
tes two by three plates and one by four
bricks pretty much what it is two by four bricks in different colors okay this is printed a
1 by 4 by one and one thirds brick with bow probably how it's supposed to go like that
what a waste you know especially the set that I'm probably gonna part out anyways 1
by 2 brick with two Technic pins and some more of these one by one by one and two-thirds
bricks with the two studs and two by six plates uh nine hole technicalist arms and some of these one by
one bricks
with bow we got a one by three lift arm and a four by four plate
inverted two by two place it down the only thing I saw interesting
there was mostly The Rock pieces let's try these out see what we have in here just
got basically just one by two plates okay these are inverted 1 by 2 plates with bow but these
are in pink and we got some sharks teeth oh just one a plate with the tooth and sadly that's just
plain white one by one plates one by one slopes we can just ignore that and
some 1 by 2 slopes
tiles all sorts of stuff like matter of fact this is a one by one Technic lift arm I don't know what
you left with this but that's what they are when you get two of those two and some Technic pins
so so far that little bag didn't really have much of anything oh there was some 1x2 pink jumper
plates too so yes or if that's printed oh yes this plate with bow two by two plated bowels
got a nose print okay well we found that despite not having the starter course though this
should be a very different type of build than I normally would put together only because
it just doesn't have any play value to me um pretty much the same thing
as was in the other one except we have 1 by 3 jumper plates plenty
of these two by two plates with bow -side brick there's another one he's
three stud long Technic pins with 3.2 hole a rocker bearing plate and a rocker bearing that's what Lego calls them one by four plates
with bell and 1x4 plates and stuff so yeah so far I mean st
arting to get a lot of the smaller stuff
now finally bag seven let's see what's in here we've got a bag in there and let's
see okay we got some of these dark green or earth green leaf pieces here
probably for making those little spruce trees and we get plenty of those I mean that's a lot
and some two by two nose cones are the same color well that's not a bad idea huh set those over
there some four by four by two-thirds round plate and tile and we got an eight by eight variant
of that too s
ome of these transparent light blue 1 by 2 by 3 wall elements I wish those were in
clear and then we got one of these stick things I don't know we got some
2x4 medium nougat flat tiles two by four plates and one of these weird
whoa where are you going get back up there one of those weird plates here I've
only seen these using a handful of sets and one of these three by three
cross plates that's a brittle Brown now we can take a look at this one here even though if these sets are kind of use
less
without the starter course we can still always look at the parts in them like plenty of these
little candle flames right here don't roll off I mean these do we get near five of those
cool so stick with flange one by one plates with top holder one by one slope so here we got
a medium Stone gray and a transparent light blue another nobody and some of these one by one by
two thirds play with bow and medium nugget okay cool right for furniture and stuff Furniture
tutorials everybody hates
2x2 round plates actually these are um oh we get six of
those flames these are two by two jumper plates that are round Hollow red studs
okay and a one by one plate with a stick I think that's what it is I think somebody asked
for an exploration on these a kind of an odd part uh do an exploration but they're very handy
and here's a little tidbit you can shove those right in there and you can reverse the polarity of
your bricks too so that's what I like about those and some round one by one
flat tiles and stuff
okay so we're gonna just take into all account of all the pieces in the sets and just by looking at
the parts there's some pretty useful pieces mainly the transparent stuff and these white platforms
and for me and these right here especially be great for making little spruce trees and stuff
may have to get a few more of those other than that it's just mostly medium to small parts that
I've noticed like stuff like this I consider these things like studs and stuff small s
o there's a
little bit of everything but what I've seen in the last couple of bags was mostly small items but for
me personally I could use some of these slopes and this white terrain pieces to make like white snowy
terrains and stuff like that and a spruce tree and all sorts of stuff now am I going to build this
set well now I got the instructions I can build this set I do not have the smart figure or the
starter figure but I'm still going to go with it anyways we may throw Jay the surfer
and have
them run through the course and just pretend you know that's what we did all day when we were kids
so yes that's what I'm going to do that's my plan with these now I still have all the other ones too
so tell me what you think of the parts in this set you think it's worth 64.99 for just 567
bricks let me know in the comments below
