Namaskaram (Hello), Today we'll practice Alternate breathing exercise. This is the best amongst the breathing exercises. How to do it? Lift your right hand & place its thumb on the right nostril. From the other hand, make a meditation pose & place it on your knee. Take a long deep breath for 5 seconds, close the nostril from which you inhaled & exhale from the opposite nostril. Now inhale from the nostril from which you've exhaled. and (exhale from the other nostril) Many people forget this. To
help them remember, let me tell you, It is like when you churn the curd with a rope tied around a stick, the rope moves in from one end & moves out from the other. then it will roll back in from the side it rolled out & will roll out from the other side. Do it in a similar way. (Inhale from one nostril. Exhale from the other.) (Inhale from the one you just exhaled. Close this nostril & exhale from the other.) You don't have to move your hand while exercising. I'm just trying to make you understa
nd. This is not a part of the exercise. I'm just explaining with my hand so that you can understand my breathing pattern. Those who have a problem in sleeping & always feel tired should do alternate breathing. It cleanses & purifies 72,10,210 nerves of the body, energises the deepest Mitochondria of each cell of the body, and rejuvenate our whole body. It is such a beneficial exercise. People who can't sleep or have stress & depression. Everyone should do it for 10-20 minutes daily. People from
anywhere in the world, who follow a Yogic diet recommended by me, or from our website, or anyone who has an inclination towards yoga & improving his health, Not everyone is cautious about health. So, those who have interest & want to learn alternate breathing, this is the method that I just taught. Who should do it & who shouldn't? There is nobody in the world who shouldn't do alternate breathing. This is the crux. In which disease should it be done? There is no disease in the world in which I'l
l suggest not to do alternate breathing. This is also true. Be it a heart problem, BP, diabetes, cyst, tumor, stones, etc. People might question can I dissolve cyst & stones with this? Even if it doesn't, until you have enough oxygen levels in your body, it can't heel. Remember this. So, do alternate breathing daily, on an empty stomach. Should you do it after taking meals or not? Though you can do yoga after taking some meal but do alternate breathing after 2 hours. If somebody has a chronic pr
oblem which requires doing yoga all day, we make them do alternate breathing after an hour of taking a meal. However, don't practice yoga in the heat of the afternoon. Do it in the evening in the open area, when you feel a cold breeze. Otherwise, do it early morning, empty stomach. This way, you'll get the maximum benefits from the yoga. Namaskaram (Goodbye).
