[Music] it's not quite a chained and fired breakdown 107 to 7 hours it's the hunger strike fiction rebellion in the middle of a climate crisis and it's time to act in a time of crisis who don't need hope we need courage I've stopped unique and I'm working to build a rebellion and doing so I need access to Internet I need access to the research around what creates an effective civil resistance movie dr. King Ella Baker as I come to the library put more work into this than I've ever done is anythi
ng in my life beforehand the hardest thing though is reconciling that kind of workload with your own personal life my life with my girlfriend Bonnie and how little time I can spend with her because of it [Music] the point of us targeting Tory's labor and the SNP was the highlight the fact that they are not taking a strong enough stand against the heat their expansion we took our message to their headquarters to highlight the in justices that are happening in those buildings it's not quite a chai
n and quiet breakdown whoa as I was being arrested and being dragged into that van with a girl at ITV filming me with his big old camera I was thinking BAM that was a great opportunity to get my message across the media a key instrument and how people are educated about issues whether it's you know being arrested for putting a chalk on a building or whether it's the commitment to go to prison I'm prepared to create that sacrifice I was arrested on Monday along with seven others for putting salt
spray outside this building and I'm back again today to start an indefinite hunger strike against the Heathrow expansion 58 hours since the hunger strike I've been really feeling the hunger today for us the hunger strike tactic was something important because it reflects so much for our own history know the history of the suffragettes how they worked create change its 177 hours into the hunger strike I've lost five kilos east last week my stomach this morning felt like I was upside down no ill n
o tired all day it's hard to know we're getting stuff in for we into a hunger stroke the lack of energy that you feel that sense of just yearning for food like it's something so special a few days before the vote we thought we need something I can make a bang something they could go viral on social media because you made you think did that guy just commit suicide and protest against climate change the energy was building outside on Parliament squares who are waiting for the vote and we have to t
ake that energy and put it into action so he stormed Parliament tonight in Westminster protests in the lobby of Parliament to go alongside the debate within even after years of discussion Heathrow stirs deep emotions we felt you know passionate about being in Parliament because it is that centre of power and that's why we wanted to speak say the central power MPs have tonight voted overwhelmingly to build a third runway at Heathrow Airport I was pretty crushed after i saw the vote results it's s
o painful to me that loss and that range - they wouldn't do anything about it [Music] do you see me the hardest thing for me about why do is the toll that it takes on my relationship with Bonnie it's so difficult and it's internal struggle I think about every day [Music]

@andkyrmar

Something tells me Robin comes from an above average income family and a hunger strike will only ever be a choice.

@throwmeinthebryn5631

Heathrow still only has 2 runways, ditched the plan for a 3rd runway so it did work, just not instantly. Similar to how climate change doesn't happen instantly.

@philippepaul5073

BBC comment section always toxic. Have a day off

@jacobbarlow9267

What you need is a strong intelligent community of serious activists, a website, a plastic rebellion, a trash ban ralley. You need to look at consumer fundamentals and follow the money, the link to the sources

@johnnyv1982

“I don’t mind stealing bread , from the mouths of decadence.. “

@pasta248

I agree with what he stands for... And a hunger strike is his personal choice, but I can't defend vandalism In the name of his cause... Just buy an advert lol

@AM-ml4ww

He is doing something. Takes courage. Problem is we are not united - we overthink and analyze everything, don't take action ourselves and find fault in everythink so while some are out there taking action... What are you doing? Stand up and just fight what you believe for... Robin inspires by sacrificing everything what he is and has. We should support it! And support all other good causes too. It's possible we unite :)

@alleynaevangelista6271

People be talking about this and saying shit but the thing is what were you able to do?

@jessicajohnston5693

We need peaceful activism with the aid of police. The message to save the planet would be taken a lot better that way.

@raynus1160

From the US Bureau of Land Management:  Lack of Bigfoot sightings blamed on climate change.  "Bigfoot sightings used to be a fairly common occurrence, now they're not", lamented a senior wildlife official who requested to speak to us on condition of anonymity. "Back in the days of Ape Canyon and Bluff Creek, we'd receive an average of six or seven Bigfoot sightings every year, almost like clockwork. We haven't received one in the past five".  Biologists and climate scientists blame this disturbing trend on loss of habitat due to man-made climate change. "There's really no other explanation", stated Gonzaga State University Zoology Professor David E. Aikens. "It's sad to think this elusive and shy creature may be extinct & our own short-sighted behavior is entirely to blame".

@londonshutdownl.s.d6530

Ok get your point, and I agree think your courageous. However what the hell grafitting on walls on historic buildings is disgusting.

@diannh2894

And regardless of what they should or shouldn't have done... Criticism can be good but remember they are out here doing not trying!

@jacobbarlow9267

Don't feel lost! The people behind you were just too few and the demonstrations were just not strong enough in sending the right message

@oisincampbell9909

I believe he has a good heart ❤ but hunger strike not the way it so dangerous and let's tech teens like myself that we do have a voice but this is not the way 😔

@MrSamHideki

Nothing was achieved. Welldone :D

@diannh2894

Y'all are the real heros... Activism for life💙💚💙

@notaclue638

We need to start using clean energy (extra bonus is stopping reliance on Saudi and Russian energy), reduce transport emmisions and deforestation and cut beef out of diets.

@burtonl7239

He's not passionate about protecting the environment. He's passionate about filming himself. It's Narcissm, not environmentalism.

@superbanjocat4189

I guess planting trees is out-dated..
