f folks who are like okay can't really go too far but you still want to entertain the kids and have some fun yeah I've heard a lot of people cuz we're coming off midwinter break so I think a lot of people took midwinter break some people are not maybe going as big for spring break maybe there are we're heading out for a few days but um but if you can find a day or two to get away it's a great we have some great options on little guy detroit.com um starting with our favorite Grand Rapids it's 2 h
ours door to door such a quick trip from our place to to we always make Frederick Meer Gardens our our Goto and um it's absolutely gorgeous uh and I just think 2 hours there you feel like you truly Got Away um and that that's what you're looking for and again two hours with three kids I can do that oh for sure it's doable and and like you said you know what you feel like you got away you've got that change of scenery you have some fun and you can easily just make the trip back home yeah absolute
ly so you're seeing some scenes from Frederick Meer Garden in here um again great summer destination this this Pool Pro tip bring an extra pair of clothes they will want to play in that um in that uh water table and they will get wet uh but some other destinations we love in Grand Rapids right now you can find a Daniel Tiger exhibit at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum Daniel Tiger is so popular so huge so if you have Daniel Tiger fans head over there um great museum as well obviously we love C
hildren's Museum that's always going to be a destination for us in any place that we go um but they have uh they have a great array of of exhibits and and handson activities for the kids here is a it's called building buddies this is at their uh Public Museum and you it's like a construction theme so which I have huge construction theme uh kiddos little love construction do so it's yeah it's so cute um you know you can build you can paint uh and what's nice about that is that it's also indoors r
ight I know like the gardens obviously you're you're outside you're going to have to bundle up I'm sure they probably don't have the water going or do they have the water I would assume not please fren that's obviously Summer video there so exactly but yes lots of indoor um exhibits and and destinations in Grand Rapids okay so if Grand Rapids maybe isn't your thing there are some other ideas as well yeah a huge one Hocking Hills I feel like the you've either been and if you know you know it's on
e of those and if you haven't you should get in the car it's 4 hours south of us in uh Ohio just outside of Columbus and it is absolutely spectacular you're like wait I'm in Ohio um so great hiking trails Great uh waterfalls and just lots of activities outdoors um but again so I went to schol in Columbus 4 hours south makes a huge difference it really does in terms of in terms of weather yes so if you're looking for a little outdoor nature getaway um as you can see it was still a little cool whe
n we went last spring um but a great great getaway in uh just in Ohio and again you can make Columbus your area to to stay overnight if you want there is lodging there on site as well but Hocking Hill is just a phenomenal outdoor nature setting and again what's nice is it's a 4-Hour Drive and you feel like you at least got away the kids did something right you know and then they had a little little taste of Adventure and then you come on back exactly one night one night there and back and and we
