hanel was an experience it's more than just going and hearing like you know someone sing I mean you everyone is in involved in the in the costumes and people oh my God it was a cultural phenomenon cultural phenomenon she had 10 countries uh 39 cities 56 shows then her concert film open number one at the box office this month so it's like she she keeps winning and Beyonce if you're watching I'm still waiting for the visuals that's what I want for Christmas the music videos but Taylor Swift The Ot

her Diva she's the reason why this is why she's H times person of the year the aist Tour gross more than a 1 billion in cells making it the highest grossing tour of all time 151 concert spanning five continents and then the AOS tour came out the movie came out in October highest grossing concert movie ever goes $250 million you guys incredible and she's also winning offstage Travis Kelce and her her little uh B her boo thing I mean she's finding love in off stage as well opened up to a whole new

audience yeah 100% okay uh speaking of movies two big ones of course you just recall Barbie yes yes both films opened uh July 21st and the the the word of the Year for me is Barb like who would have thought both films would open up and done so well highest grossing film of the year is Barbie $1.4 billion ofen 954 million Super Mario Brothers also that one came out this year who thought we knew that who knew that we needed that movie 1.36 billion at the box office it's amazing it's funny because

it was so much better than I was expecting you know that could have gone another way totally well done and for me Jack Black as Bowser I'm ready for like a Bowser spin-off I'm sure so good we should mention we're contractually obligated to mention uh that that both Super Mario Brothers and Oppenheimer are from our sister company let's talk about television there's never a lack of content but what did people turn into and then also we had the strike I mean it's just SP big gear in TV succession

Automax after four season came to an end you guys watch that show succession yes so big episode three this year almost took me out that was the really big like reveal people were talking about uh it was nominated for nine Golden Globe awards also The Last of Us on HBO Max another TV show based on a video game I'm playing the game now you guys it's so good that one averaged 40 million viewers uh in May of this year so it's doing really well it did really well then the SAG after strike we talk abo

ut TV doing so well but it almost kind of came to a halt this year the first time in 60 years or since 1960 that both sag aftera and wga were on strike wga was on strike for 148 days sag aftera 118 days you guys then they struck a deal November 8th a very historic deal we know what that includes and thank goodness when they did in time for the cuz it's been rough so many California also lost like $6 billion in Revenue because of the strike on a sad note we did lose some legendary names in the en

tertainment yes some really big names Tina Turner the queen of rock and roll this one really crushed me you guys she died May 25th at 83 years old really was a role model for for strength and resilience inspired a whole new generation Tony Bennett died uh August 21st at the age of 96 the master of the Great American song book so many young folks also look up to him Lady Gaga uh then Matthew Perry the Beloved friend stars that shocked us all October 28th at the age of 54 and it really is showing
