we are having the grant celebration and the sponsors who make it possible to Grant $120,000 each year and it is a celebration of the grants process that the foundation for excellence for LISD does and that's our mission is to take the monies that we raise and make sure that we are good stewards of that money and in doing so do our due diligence and vet grants to different individuals and schools and also groups within the schools to make sure that their experience at LD is the best possible that
they can have it is getting into the hands where it can do the most good the process starts with the grants Committee of which we receive money from the LISD Foundation of Excellence golf tournament and that's our money raiser so we use that money and we encourage students and we encourage teachers administrators to if they have some special project that the funding is not there for and they know that it will benefit the students of LISD we ask them to prepare a form and they submit it to us an
d we look at it and we ask questions and then we decide to fund or not fund the that and we want to make sure that the students are getting the money necessary to do the projects that they need to do and want to do I was blessed to have three daughters and all three of them went through LISD and when you see what LISD can do for your own daughters and what they do for others it's a chance to give back just a little because you get a lot more than you give back but it is something special and all
